Excellent! I've been playing for 32 years, and I finally understand how to hit that theoretical, metaphoric curve ball, lol... thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Hey Jack, so glad you're making progress! Thanks for sharing and giving me some positive feedback. These funny chord progressions are definitely curve balls, that's a great way to put it!
Hey swift I just stop by to say thank you for what you do. I started playing guitar my freshman year and I learn how to play my first song "Stand By Me" Because of you. I'm now going on my 3rd year of playing guitar and looking back I've learn a lot up to this point. I appreciate everything that you do and cant wait to learn even more from you. Thank you so much! - Tim
Thanks Carmen! This lesson really boils down to memorizing the notes in a each key, and the notes inside the chords so that you can pick around the chords with confidence. It takes time and practice to consider these things on the fly, but eventually you end up with a bunch of solid licks for each chord in a progression. Good luck!
Understanding the theory behind the lick... now that's a great lesson! I hope you continue in this method...at least occasionally, Thanks!!!
