Very good review... this gentleman knows what he is talking about and plays some nice guitar to boot! I recently purchased one of these and have used it for a while... but I learnt a few extra tricks watching the review ^ Just to add that this is a 24bit device, and that holds the quality of the audio up very nicely uncompressed. I paid about £30... ridicules amount of money for such a well made and useful piece of kit. If you don’t have one… get one, no excuse at this price!
@saintjabroni...You're absolutely right. I've since got the Boss RC-5 and have never used more than 5 banks. In hindsight, this would have met all my needs as a perfect practice tool

Hello, very nice review, just want to add something important to complement your review, I just bought this exact looper and a separate power supply adaptor cable that can get power from a USB port and gives the 9v for the looper but just before connecting I realised the polarity was swamped (most devices use the positive in the centre, but guitar pedals are the other way around) and thankfully I didn't connect (it could have damaged the looper) but I wanted to try it on day 1 and tried to connect the USB cable that comes with it to a standard USB phone charger, and it works :) it's not written anywhere but you can power it over the micro-USB port using a standard USB to Micro-USB cable that comes with it. I've just seen other guys showing this pedal and say the USB power won't work because the pedal will keep saying U (for USB connection) but in my case it works, maybe on newer versions it does work with power from USB :) This is a present for my 12yo kid that is learning guitar and tomorrow he will be introduced to the world of loopers ;)
Blessings for the video! The best I've seen on this Pedal. Two debts: 1) To turn on and off, just put it in the source? 2) Is there any specification for the wav file to be inserted into the pedal by the computer? I tried and I couldn't.... is there a way to make available the ones you used? Thanks! Falo de Natal/RN - Brasil.
I've given this pedal away since making this video so I can't answer the question with the pedal in front of me. But I remember with the WAV file I had to record a loop on the pedal and then examine it on my computer to see the format, I then used that format. (on windows you just right click on the WAV file and you can see the format) 😊😃
Nice video mate, reading at the comments I can see you manage to sold quite a few of these pedals. You should get companies to endorse you or at least give you free product to review. You have done a terrific job and SHOULD not have to buy equipment. That is of course my opinion mate. Well done again and thank you, I found this very useful.
Thank you . . 😊 Yes, your advice is good and I've tried a couple of companies but I just don't have the time to do the research needed to get company endorsements. There was a website that partnered companies up with RUclipsrs but RUclips bought them out only to close them down . . Why I don't know.
When recording the first track (with the blue lights), you can make the track as long as you want. When you add an overdub (red lights), is that limited to the amount of time it takes the lights to complete one circle? Or can you make that as long as you want also?
Good questions . . the first track can only be a maximum of 9 minutes (which is long enough I think). The overlay recording can only be as long as the first track you recorded . . I hope this helps . . 😊
@@guitar-academy So then, you can't record the 1st track to be a melody with say, 8 notes, have that repeat, and record the 2nd track to start a few seconds later, but have more than 8 notes to it? Oh well, I guess I have to make the 1st track last around 4 minutes and then add bass lines. Thanks for the reply.
I was thinking about buying the Ditto+ looper pedal, but this pedal seems to have almost all the same features (less storage space than the Ditto+), so I may go in this direction. Thanks for the solid demo!
Good video! Quick question. Do you know if It's possible to activate the tuner option pressing both buttons at the same time by using my foot instead of fingers?
Excellent review thank you. I was wondering if the Lekato pedal can shift between banks on the fly? For example play bank 1 and mid loop hit bank 2 button and have it switch at the completion of the loop. Useful for switching between verses and chorus...
Superb presentation review using the words and expressional tones of an unbiased professor of the music industry. I have been trying to decide if this pedal is really up to the low cost . . . . . result = SOLD & HAPPY ! :-D You will find that the USB lead can also be used with a 'dedicated' footswitch (available seperately) to switch between the nine wav loop files. The pedal only draws 100mA max and is compatibale with most 'centre tip negative' 9volt PSU's. The size of the pedal is within a few millimetres of most other 'Micro' pedals and can swapped out with ease anywhere in the pedal box chain sequence. Oh and although you can record up to nine seperate loops, remember that any single loop is max duration 10mins, and any/all loops cannot be more than 40mins in total, so it is perfect for normal looping use. Have fun.
Unfortunately with that amp there is not solution (as far as I know). To get the looper in after the effects, you need to have an effects loop and as far as I know the Fender Mustang LT25 doesn't have one. . . sorry 😒

Great video! I find it difficult to make it loop seamlessly without a gap between loops. I'm a beginner and any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Yeah, It's difficult to get use to. I count under my breath or I tap my other foot because you don't loop at the end of the guitar turnaround but at the end of the bar. It's hard to explain, I might have to do a video on it . . 🙂
@ It's timing... start the looper on the count of '1'... play your stuff and hit the foot switch 'after' the last bar you played and on what would be the first beat of the next bar that would have been. i.e. start first bar 1 (hit start switch at the same time as first beat) , 2, 3, 4, etc..... last bar 1, 2, 3, 4, 1 (hit stop switch at the same time as the first beat) the replay loop will then seamlessly replay to the start of the first beat of the first bar. Make sure the pedal is fixed solidly on the floor, else you will be kicking it all across the floor and mess your start/stop timing up!
Suuuch a great video. Just got the Loop pedal and this was just a straight forward instructional video with some awesome guitar playing.. Also, helped me understand why sound may be so crappy out of my guitar amp haha!
Hi and thanks. The diagram was very helpful as I ran into the challenge of not being able to separate the effects pedal but your diagram made it crystal clear. I have a couple of questions for you. #1. Is there any way of using the pedal to record another instrument such as a Keyboard? I know I could add a track into the memory but with only 9 banks..... I would like to use this on stage if possible with on the spot loops for as many songs as I want to play. #2 - I have a Digi-Tech Vocalizer. Can I put this in the chain and create vocal loops? Thanks much
it only has one instrument input so you'd have unplug and re-plug different instruments/mics, unless you plug it into the output on a mixer or such like. You can record endless loops on each patch, as it keeps adding the new parts to the same loop but you can't then remove the part. It sounds to me like you need a more expensive more featured looper, but this one will work with compromises. 🤔
Greetings from Oz ... Best review I've found .. thanks mate, just bought one (guess I should have watched a review before grabbing my wallet but that's lockdown for ya' :) particularly like the facility for loading external loops, nice feature. I guess it would work with a keyboard as well as guitar? Thanks again and stay safe.
Glad you found the review useful. Yes, it will work with keyboard but remember it's mono whereas most keyboards are stereo. Greetings to you from North Wales 😊😊
full watch .. a like .. and subscribed. very good review, i had ordered one before i saw your review, but now i can't wait for the pedal to arrive. tnx
Thank you for the review i realy liked it .. so i Ordered one from Amazon and its perfect / sub for me like your channel .. is there any place to download that backingtrack at 15:22 its amazing Thanks from Sweden and stay safe
I received my pedal from Amazon without a power cord. I don't want to send it back. Can you please tell me where I can get the proper power cord for my Lekato Looper? Thanks the tutorial was excellent. Also, I fear trying to use any of my random cords that fit as it may damage the looper.
Minha nossa que conteúdo excelente!!!!! Obrigado por compartilhar esse conhecimento. Vou comprar um desse pra mim hj msm!!! Deve demorar pra chegar em Vitória-ES Brasil. Mas tenho paciência. Hehehw
I'm new to guitar and was enjoying my Lekata pedal but the loop speed has suddenly gone very high, blue light going around 4 times normal speed. Any idea how to fix this? Great video... subbed!
Thanks for the review. Just bought one and the instructions state you can use the USB into another pedal to switch patches. Have you tried this, and if so, how did you? I'm not sure what to search for - any suggestions? Thanks
Do you have any idea why mine might not be working? The power supply is in, lights are on, cables work fine, the tuner is working, but the amp isn't recognising any output from the looper? The amp works fine without any looper connected. Weird situation
Sadly there's not a lot I can do to help, you need to contact the firm. Before anything else though I would try another USB lead, because a couple of people I know have had faulty leads. If it is working correctly your PC should automatically detect the pedal as a storage device. . .
Anybody know how to reset it to factory settings? The tuner on mine shows F when it should be low E and C when it should be high E. I can work around it but I'd rather not.
@@guitar-academy not sure when the 1st one stopped retaining loops, but when the sent me a replacement I recorded my harmonica on 3 different loops, unplugged , replugged in and all was great. I exported song 1 and imported it to slot 4, it took a real long time to import but said OK. Unplugged USB and all loops gone, never to retain a loop again.
@@aaronshortmusic Mine didn't . . It's a couple of years old Mac Mini with Siera on it, it say it straight away. But maybe mine had drivers on it that allowed it to read it.
On the first loop....how do you know the timing that circles around...there is nothing indicating the amount of time you have to play. Are you guessing or does it not matter ? I'm confused.
Yes, it does matter and it takes a bit of practise. You have to tap you foot or count in your head the same way you would to keep time with any tune. Once you've got the first loop right, it's a lot easier from there because you can use it as a reference. 🤔😊
@@guitar-academy I messed with mine. That light circle tempo never changes faster or slower, it just clicks that timing in my brain. I got it now. I'd be nice to change that tempo, but that's what they make metronome's for. haha.... And thanks, Great video, I watch you often.
@@Robooty23 All I can suggest is; the first thing to check is that the power supply is working and the polarity is correct 🤔 If that's all OK then it needs to go back to where you bought it from 😒
The spark is a pain regarding everything going through the effects. If you want the loop clean you can take it through the aux in, but it's a bit of a pain.
If you watch the video all the way through you'll see my computer (win 10) detected it straight away as a mass storage device, so I could copy files too my computer and from my computer to the pedal. 🤔 the part you want to watch starts at 12:50
I was confused as to buy a shimmer reverb or a looper pro pedal I have a distortion by DS1X alone what shud be my next pedal looper or shimmer pedal what do you think , according to me looper will benefit me to learn timing but shimmer is so angelic I like its sound, help me resolve this confusion sir?
@@guitar-academy Confusing really no, turns out looper poses no benefit to addition of new tones . but the shimmer pedal wonderland by caline was priced more than double what it actually costs. So I looked even more then I found NUX DUO time a stereo delay pedal with all delay tones plus modulation plus reverb and dwell is really long the reverb has shimmery vibe on 90percent dwell. And it has a 40sec phrase loop which hold the delay and other effects presets on the loop, It has stereo on everything, As I want to learn and practice 40sec loop is enough for me
I’ve never used a pedal before and my pedal hasn’t came with the power supply. Like I have my amp and my guitar but I’ve only got one cable. It’s an absolutely amazing video. And I think it’s just probably me being stupid but if you can help please try 🤦♂️❤️
Amazon are quite expensive for this pedal. I got mine off eBay for £34, saving approximately £20 or more. I’m also using a universal power supply that I had laying around.
my effects are built in to my amp, is there a way to prevent them from effecting your looper sound or do you need effects pedals oh btw i watched the full review, your voiceover was delivered clearly and the layout in your edit was clean. I'm a producer and i have no job and want to get into busking so i was looking into loopers and stuff for helping me out there, unfortunately i bought this and it is not battery powered so I'd have to buy a big f-off generator for about 200 pounds for it to all work out and about but either way thank you for this video, you taught me a lot.
Thank you very much . . . The only way you can bypass the effects on your amp would be if you have an 'effects loop, in and out' or effects bypass input on the back of the amp. You can get this to work on a battery with a little basic electronics. Just get power lead or plug and solder it to a 9v battery clip, just remember it's negative inside. 🤔
I'm trying to put 3 instruments over, but if i mess up i have 3 different instruments at different tempos, is there a way to get rid of the second and third? I can get rid of the second one but whenever i hold the button to remove that one it just records the third one again?
i am novice to this, so in the playback and i now jam over my recorded loop, the looper is overpowering in sound my guitar as i play along with it...what am i doing wrong
When you're recording you have to adjust the guitar volume as I did in the video to make sure all the recordings balance. The level knob should lower the loop. 🤔
I saw in another video that you don't need the nine volt plug because you can use the u s b plug to power it🤔🤷♂️ Which makes sense, because What company would send out their product without a way of powering it out of the box😵💫
I'll try, but the best place to buy changes from country to country. In most cases it's easiest to go on Amazon and search 'guitar effects pedal power supply' as the power supplies are standard. . . I hope this helps.
A Roland or Boss PSU with a negative center pin should do.... but be warned they are unregulated and float at about 15v.... but once they load up (100ma) they should drop back to 9v. if you can find a regulated 9v PSU, they are better quality but probably cost more!
Yes it does unfortunately it is turned on and off by unplugging it. I haven't tested it connected for a long period, but I would guess it's ok to leave it on. 🤔
@@guitar-academy Thanks, my thoughts also. Except the Hot Box seems to have a white finish while the Lekato has a black or dark gray finish; I think a dark finish would let the LEDs be seen easier. Also I found a third competitor I think ... the Iset Looper, also on Amazon.
@@louisfryzel4618 there are probably more as well. I was contacted by a company that makes guitars and if I was to buy over 50 they would put any name I want on them. I think this is probably how it works with a lot of Chinese goods.
@@guitar-academy Wow. I didn't know that. That would be great if you were in a band and wanted some publicity. Btw, I did find I think a fourth company; I found a Kokko brand one on Amazon in the same white finish as the Hot Box. Btw2, thanks for your review.

Hi great review is it a chromatic tuner, or does it show E flat for example by how many red dots?
unfortunately I can't remember and I gave this one away, but I'm hoping someone else out there will answer your question . .
full watch .. a like .. and subscribed. very good review, i had ordered one before i saw your review, but now i can't wait for the pedal to arrive. tnx

Thank you for the review i realy liked it .. so i Ordered one from Amazon and its perfect / sub for me like your channel .. is there any place to download that backingtrack at 15:22 its amazing Thanks from Sweden and stay safe
Thanks for the sub! The backing track is on ebooks4guitar.com

Very concise and helpful, thanks.
Glad it was helpful! thank you 😊😃
Thanks for showing the USB part of it!
No problem! 😊😃 thanks for watching
I received my pedal from Amazon without a power cord. I don't want to send it back. Can you please tell me where I can get the proper power cord for my Lekato Looper? Thanks the tutorial was excellent. Also, I fear trying to use any of my random cords that fit as it may damage the looper.
Yes, it's a pain having to get a power supply. The power supply is a standard guitar effects one so you can get them from Amazon, 😊

I'm new to guitar and was enjoying my Lekata pedal but the loop speed has suddenly gone very high, blue light going around 4 times normal speed. Any idea how to fix this? Great video... subbed!
Sorry to hear that . . I have no idea what could cause that and how to fix it 🤔
@GCH Guitar Academy thanks anyway. I'll be watching a lot more of your vids.
@@saroth222 thanks 😃😃
Amoon looper has extra milisecond when you stop recording can this be better?
sorry, I didn't measure it with that much accuracy so I can't say 🤔
Thanks for the review. Just bought one and the instructions state you can use the USB into another pedal to switch patches. Have you tried this, and if so, how did you? I'm not sure what to search for - any suggestions? Thanks
no I didn't try that . . I gave it to my son, so I'll have to borrow it back to try it . . 🤔
hey, can you share your experience abt the durability?
Do you have any idea why mine might not be working? The power supply is in, lights are on, cables work fine, the tuner is working, but the amp isn't recognising any output from the looper? The amp works fine without any looper connected. Weird situation
It sounds like it might be a return to manufacturer job. . I hope it's in warranty . .
You probably still have it in tuner mode, which mutes the output while you're tuning. Push one of the arrow buttons and the output will return.
I bought one, but i struggled on the delay before crossing again the starting light 😔😔😔
Sorry to hear that . . Yes, it's not easy 🤔
Thank you for the review!
I bought it, but I have a problem copying the wav.s onto my pc. It wont work. Can you help me?
Sadly there's not a lot I can do to help, you need to contact the firm. Before anything else though I would try another USB lead, because a couple of people I know have had faulty leads. If it is working correctly your PC should automatically detect the pedal as a storage device. . .
Anybody know how to reset it to factory settings? The tuner on mine shows F when it should be low E and C when it should be high E. I can work around it but I'd rather not.
You can power it with the USB line also.
that's good to know 😊
Unfortunately the cubesuite software is no longer available for Mac computers so I can't use the USB function..
Thanks for the heads up . . 👍
Could someone tell me what guitar is he playing. It’s gorgeous 😊
It's an Ibanez JEM 7V. 2005
Nice and easy to use it thank for sharing GCH Guitar Academy
Thank you . . . 😊
@@guitar-academy you welcome bro
I’ve got two of them, both stopped retaining loops after importing a WAV file on a Windows PC .
that's strange . . either you've got a faulty batch or there is something wrong with the files you've imported.
@@jerryguy2845 oh dear . . that's not good .
Do you know how to load wav files onto the device via Mac?
The Mac recognizes it as a mass storage device like a USB memory stick so you just drag and drop the files you want onto it. . .
GCH Guitar Academy It did not. I had to download the software from their website...
Thank you . . I agree with you . . They could easily build a metronome into the pedal to make it easier to use🤔 @@firebald2915
Perhaps the looper pedal manufacturer will see our conversation and add a click track. hahaha fat chance
So im supposed to buy a separate cable for the output to the amp then?
Yes . . guitar effects pedals nearly always come without leads
Mine isnt turning on even though i connected it);
@@Robooty23 All I can suggest is; the first thing to check is that the power supply is working and the polarity is correct 🤔
If that's all OK then it needs to go back to where you bought it from 😒
@@guitar-academy yeah i guess i have to then, thanks for the help haha
@@guitar-academy ahh nevermind i just had to connect it with my phone charger instead of the 9v cable, so i guess i still wasted 10 bucks hah
Great video thanks for helping me come to a decision, this is the pedal I will get .. 👍
Glad I could help! thank you 😊
How would you suggest to wire this with a Spark amp where all the effects are within the amp?
The spark is a pain regarding everything going through the effects. If you want the loop clean you can take it through the aux in, but it's a bit of a pain.
Is it ok to use the first way you had it set up . Just for basic looping keeping the same tone as I don’t have a fx loop on my amp .
Yeah . . that would be fine . . 😊
Have you been able to export loops to a PC? Win 7 as well as Win 10 don't recognize the device.
If you watch the video all the way through you'll see my computer (win 10) detected it straight away as a mass storage device, so I could copy files too my computer and from my computer to the pedal. 🤔 the part you want to watch starts at 12:50
@@guitar-academy Thank you very much - I missed that the first time. Mine still won't show on Win 10 but at least I know it's possible. :)

You have a hard choice to make. Sorry, the answer to that question is all yours to answer 😊😃
@@guitar-academy Confusing really no, turns out
looper poses no benefit to addition of new tones .
but the shimmer pedal wonderland by caline was priced more than double what it actually costs.
So I looked even more then I found NUX DUO time
a stereo delay pedal with all delay tones plus modulation plus reverb
and dwell is really long the reverb has shimmery vibe on 90percent dwell.
And it has a 40sec phrase loop which hold the delay and other effects presets on the loop,
It has stereo on everything,
As I want to learn and practice 40sec loop is enough for me
@@guitar-academy Saved by Nud NDD duo time delay and ambient machine
with built in looper 40 secs its a sturdy piece of for ambient music which I dig.
I’ve never used a pedal before and my pedal hasn’t came with the power supply.

It’s an absolutely amazing video. And I think it’s just probably me being stupid but if you can help please try 🤦♂️❤️
Yes, you'll need another guitar lead and a 9 Volt guitar effects power supply 🤔
@@guitar-academy ok thank you buddy 👍
Amazon are quite expensive for this pedal. I got mine off eBay for £34, saving approximately £20 or more. I’m also using a universal power supply that I had laying around.
The universal power supplies are handy and they can a lot cheaper than guitar effects power supplies . . . I use one as well 😊
isnt the same Looper as the Cuvave?
I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me. I've reviewed tuners and metronomes in the past that can be bought with several names on them . . . 🤔
my effects are built in to my amp, is there a way to prevent them from effecting your looper sound or do you need effects pedals
oh btw i watched the full review, your voiceover was delivered clearly and the layout in your edit was clean.
@@guitar-academyGreat 👍is negative safe?? I dont understand Thanks .
I'm trying to put 3 instruments over, but if i mess up i have 3 different instruments at different tempos, is there a way to get rid of the second and third? I can get rid of the second one but whenever i hold the button to remove that one it just records the third one again?
No I don't think you can. I think you can just delete the last layer or all the layers . . 🤔
Thanks for the video 👏👏👏👍
No problem 👍 thank you for watching 😊😃
i am novice to this, so in the playback and i now jam over my recorded loop, the looper is overpowering in sound my guitar as i play along with it...what am i doing wrong
When you're recording you have to adjust the guitar volume as I did in the video to make sure all the recordings balance. The level knob should lower the loop. 🤔
Where's the music coming from. The amp?
Yes it is, in this case. But the music is coming out from the looper pedal to whatever you plug it into. 😊
Mine arrived in a flimsy Amazon padded envelope. with no other packing material, No apparent damage luckily.
you're very lucky, it should have been better packaged than that . . 🤔
good review..
Thank you! Cheers! 😊
I have not gotten my looper pedal to work since I got mine. I wish there was a setup diagram.
Oh dear . . it sounds like you need to send it back. It's easy to set up, so if it's not working it might be faulty . .
Can you link the site for the power adapter
Could I use this with a digital amp, and plug this into my audio interface?
Yes, with the ones I have here it works. As long as your audio interface has a Jack plug input it will be fine . . 😊
Mine stopped working worked for 10 mins now it won’t even play it back 😢
That's bad news . . I'd send it back under the warrantee if I was you. 😒

I saw in another video that you don't need the nine volt plug because you can use the u s b plug to power it🤔🤷♂️ Which makes sense, because What company would send out their product without a way of powering it out of the box😵💫
Can you add a link to the charger/power supply (I don't want to order the wrong type) 🙂
I'll try, but the best place to buy changes from country to country. In most cases it's easiest to go on Amazon and search 'guitar effects pedal power supply' as the power supplies are standard. . . I hope this helps.
@@guitar-academy Thanks, that does help. I've done exactly that and ordered a 9v power supply for an effects pedal
@@paulhiles5368 Brilliant . . I understand your wanting to be sure . .
A Roland or Boss PSU with a negative center pin should do.... but be warned they are unregulated and float at about 15v.... but once they load up (100ma) they should drop back to 9v. if you can find a regulated 9v PSU, they are better quality but probably cost more!
Fell asleep listening to this
I charge extra for that . 😂🤣😂
Does this pedal stay on all the time since there is no on/off button. I guess people plug into pedal boards? But I don't have one. OK to keep it on?
Yes it does unfortunately it is turned on and off by unplugging it. I haven't tested it connected for a long period, but I would guess it's ok to leave it on. 🤔
@@guitar-academy yes and unfortuately if you unplug it the throughput is turned off and the amp will not work!
How is it with distorted guitar and playing distorted guitar over it? Imagine Rock You Like a Hurricane intro/rhythm with the solo over it?
The solo at the end is high gain distortion 15:20 and it sounds fine. Distorted chords sound good too . .
What is the difference between this and the slightly cheaper Hot Box Loop Tune?
They look identicle. Most Chinese electronics is marketed under several names and this looks like one of those cases.
@@guitar-academy Thanks, my thoughts also. Except
the Hot Box seems to have a white finish while the Lekato has a black or dark gray finish; I think a dark finish would let the LEDs be seen easier.
