A paint scraper (for flat surfaces) a soft wired brush (for lettering and embellishments) and sugar soap as a cleaning agent/degreaser, and water with elbow grease added.
I love to walk around the old cemeteries of Kansas and Missouri and look at the 100+ year old graves and read the little biographies and look at the iconography and so on associated with the departed. It's a mini history lesson that pays respects to people long forgotten.
I like visiting old historic graveyards. The markers are interesting and often tell a story. Respect and gratitude to you for taking care of this memorial stone.
