If you do end up cleaning a headstone: water, D2, and a grout brush 👍
-someone who occasionally cleans headstones as a part time job
What do you guys do with the coins?
Oh btw, for some reason when ever I clean graves I always find big bones. I normally through but recently I have been collecting them, do you know what animal they are from?
@@superspicypotatoytt7509 what
@@superspicypotatoytt7509 no idea, but I’d suggest by starting with not digging when cleaning 😃👍 /hj
@@kenlion8161 coins?? Are you talking about things that get left on the headstones? You’d take them off while cleaning and then replace them as accurately as you can because they are gifts for the buried or trinkets that the buried loved when alive
I actually love walking though cemeteries especially those with older headstones. I find something eerily peaceful about it
Agreed.
I agree and that’s Great because we’re all clearly normal people, but walking all over them and tapping on them is not respectful at all
Ah yes, dead people make me so relaxed
I walk through and say RIP to all of them. Almost always I get some kind of ghostlike sign - usually my spotify crashing when I’ve left, and ghosts are commonly known to interfere with technology. I think the souls are trying to tell me that they could hear me. That they are thankful.
Same, i find that place peacefull, as a spiritual person
I actually think this is a really nice way to remember those who came before us, graves which probably never get visits anymore and are long gone in a line of distant relatives, it's nice that they are getting some sort of recognition. It's actually nice to think in 200 years, someone will read my grave stone and for that moment think about me when I'm long gone.
Ah yes scratching on my grave how lovely just put a camera why my corpse is and scratch my memorial sounds very respectful m8
@@creole9596 at least it's getting some attention and someone is reading their names. I'm not religious so I believe when you're dead, you're dead. These people are long gone but thanks to people in the future visiting the graves, they're still remembered, they existed. He's hardly vandalising the graves, tapping on hard stone isn't going to do damage.

Honestly, based on the title, you'd assume this video would be bad, but this guy seems very genuine and like he had good intention with the video. Those graves look old and forgotten as well, please don't hate on the video without looking at it in another perspective.

The reason the headstone said “BABY” was because the infant must have died at birth/was a stillborn and the parents hadn’t named it. Very sad 😢

People used to hang in graveyards like parks! It’s not weird, and shouldn’t be weird. Humans have existed for like 200,000 years so there are dead humans and animals everywhere anyway 🙄

Who knows that's your gravestone in past life and now u are reincarnated and watching your gravestone ASMR🤔🤔
I just realized that I find the sound of gravestone tapping strangely calming. Who knew? 😳
Never thought we'd get a part 2 but we did! 😏
our town has a cemetery so old that we have a revolutionary war veteran buried there. It fell into total disrepair until a few years ago when a semi-famous ghost hunting crew visited. Some people got mad about the crew "disrespecting" the people at rest there, but they brought a lot of attention to the damage and pushed the city to revitalize it.
as someone who spends a lot of time on graveyards, has studied the etiquette, and all that, i don't find this disrespectful. whether you believe in the supernatural or not, from my own personal experiences, if they had issues with this, dean would have known full well. but clearly, the vibes there were chill.
Thank you. I agree that what he is doing seems kind, not disrespectful.
I'm not surprised that u spend a lot of time in graveyards, cus ur profile is Souichi Tsujii whos also my second favourite Junji Ito character xD But ye I also dont find this disrespectful
Your all delusional then😭 this guy is walking all over them, they’re there to be remembered and left at peace
@@yungdiddy475 it’s not that serious. They’re dead. We’re all probably living on top of graves from a millennium ago. Stop looking for weird reasons to hate and be annoyed lmao don’t watch if it bothers you
@@yungdiddy475 first off, they're bodies are 6 feet under the ground, it's not like they're on the surface and he's trampling corpses. secondly, people walk over graves all the time, it's normal especially if it's an older graveyard like this one with little to no walkways. it actually used to be normal to have picnics in graveyard during the victorian era, literally sitting on top of them and eating lunch. third, it's been a hot minute since these people passed. if they're chilling in the afterlife, chances are they're not sticking around some old graveyard. fourth, people do far worse things like vandalize, move, and straight up smash graves. i don't even like dean but what he's doing is perfectly fine.
Real talk, I like to believe that the ghosts in that graveyard love him and feel appreciated by him because clearly their graves aren't being visited anymore (I mean, I assume since they are sadly not getting taken care of) and it must be nice for them to be visited by anyone, especially someone who is there with the purpose of making thousands of people feel good and also literally says how he wants to give the graves some love and even mentions wanting to clean them, that is so pure and sweet, we stan 🥺❤
@Sut Nack at those times yeah very likely no but you never know, the ghosts could have adapted to our times and they might actually love seeing such an interesting, flamboyant as you put it, person.

For real though, I like to believe the souls that passed who are being loved on and recognized by dean feel some sort of comfort and appreciation from him. I don’t find this is disrespectful at all honestly. He’s in an area that is clearly not too fragile to where he could cause damage,
nor are they given a lot of attention. He’s also tidying up some of the ones that are hard to read and even mentions possibly cleaning them and taking care of them in the future, as well as mentioning their name and paying respects to them as if they had recently passed. It seems much more comforting and appreciative than disrespectful.

I love this. Gravestones are for the living, not the dead. It's nice for anyone to visit and read them. The tapping sounds were great.
For those offended:
Have you went on a cemetery tour out of state? Kids will climb all over graves, people walk over it, touch it ETC.. in my opinion at least he is speaking names. Speaking light of the dead and keeping their memory alive! I would 100% be okay with him tapping on my mom because he’s patient, he’s being respectful and not beating on it, he’s thinking then for allowing him to tap ETC
My friend shared this with me because she knows I find graveyards peaceful and that I love ASMR but I was so confused because I thought you were James Charles for a second 😂 I love the videos you did in the graveyard, would you be able to do more (when it's warmer obviously lol)?

I hope when I die in 200 years someone makes ASMR with my headstone.
1:44 this is actually an urn not a menorah! An urn and a willow were very common on tombstones from the 1800s as they represented death and mourning.
