--------
Martin Shkreli disclosed spending a staggering $20 million on lawyer fees during his federal case, which ultimately led to his conviction on three charges of securities fraud. Shkreli shared insights into his trial experience, revealing that he was never interested in a plea deal, even if it meant no jail time. This reluctance resulted in a prolonged legal battle, with significant expenses funneled towards high-profile attorney Ben Brafman and other law firms.
Brafman, known for representing celebrities like Puff Daddy, Jay-Z, and Michael Jackson, was described by Shkreli as worth every penny. Despite an arduous court process, Shkreli highlighted the systemic difficulties of winning a federal trial, citing biases like the prosecutors' advantage of presenting their case first. While he celebrated five "not guilty" verdicts, he was devastated by the three convictions but maintained his innocence, affirming his belief that he was penalized for raising drug prices, not actually committing fraud. I love how Shkreli is out here fighting fed cases and threatening everyone's favorite rappers. Pharma Bro is more gangster than half these guests 😂
Release early after 5 years and still rich damnn
He has money. That’s what money gets you.
He gangsta for making threats😂😂 ik u pussy fr
Because you’re white and you like to watch the ppl you obsess about and worship while simultaneously hating them because you hate yourself. Cream pie eating c u c k..you Mr hate will never grow that pink tiny shrimp you poster boy for genetic inadequacy
!!!!
This is the first time ive watched every of the 13 parts cause bro is interesting hahaha
Martin was wild back in the day. The prison sentence really humbled him in some ways
Thats what being rich does, makes u act out + drugs
@@itsAC9O8 nah that’s what being rich, famous, and a huge fan of professional wrestling does 😂 he admitted it himself, he loved playing the character like a wrestling villain
He was younger too. Might have only been a few years ago, but you can grow up a lot during that part of ur life. Prison + growing up
The way he just said 20 million dollars like its 3 dollars killed me lol
He’s lying though. $20 million is how much you pay lawyers for a multiple murder case.
@@Mandology575don’t doubt the skkreli man
He needs his own movie. Like Jordan Belfort. Tom Holland could play him.
Really have liked these Martin Shrekli interviews, interesting guy, more like this Vlad.
I don’t think they made a whole lot of guys like Martin Shkreli.
@@777jones I agree he's a rare breed
@@777jones idk about that, there are millions of internet trolls 😂 the only difference is he’s a rich one
Damn! This dude play real life monopoly
He lost $20 million for something he didn’t do. Them lawyers are laughing their a$$ off.
He's garbage
Well done! The effort and passion are evident.
I can see how so many people get scammed in this world. People in this comment section actually think this guy is a genuine and honorable person lol. Easily swindled by nerd charm
The comments on these Shkreli videos have been so depressing.
Absolutely, shows how slow these people are.
fr even the fact him saying he beat the feds... no you didnt you still did time. Beating them means you do no time. Pppl in the comments saying hes smart af huh?
you nailed it when you used nerd charm as a description. I admit there is nerd charm here
Vlad was rubbing his hands like birdman when he seen that Rick Ross and his crew got jumped
He ain’t gonna say a thing though
ross wasnt even touched lol
😅😅
In the end the lawyers get it all 💯💯💯💯
Damn that crazy millions Lawyers always win they get paid win or lose case
That’s why our parents want us to be lawyers growing up 😂
True. But who wants to pay a losing lawyer.
There is no way that it cost $20 million to try this case. Simply impossible. If he did pay that to his attorney or attorneys then they seen him coming from a mile away. Massive RICO cases like involving the Mob with multiple murders and hundreds of millions of dollars never cost $20 million dollars.
As @@soundofsulfer said, you don’t wanna pay a losing lawyer, a person is only okay if it’s proven paying them gets you off. Even in the lawyer world you’ll be known for your win/lose ratio
In criminal cases yes unless you’re a public defender. Civil cases you can agree to give up a percentage of what you win to your lawyer IF you win.
He gave a vivid breakdown on how crooked the system is when trying to convict someone. Mental psychology is a mf
Man, hearing his side of the story vs the news is so crazy and so different
He was damn serouis for paying 20 million. He was facing 20 to 30 years. An only got 6 years I think
tbh the lawyers didnt do much. He would of beat those charges anyway. The 8 years was what they really was going for
OJ won fair and square without taking the stand and Vlad still won’t accept it.
OJ verdict was payback for the Rodney King beating.
@@mul7777only a 🤡 like it thinks that. The OJ verdict exposes how gullible yt people are. The cops in Rodney King were on tape assaulting him. There are ZERO eyewitnesses or video in the OJ case. Yet white folks acquitted the cops despite the video. And yt people want OJ convicted without any video, eyewitnesses and the lead detective committed perjury
@@mul7777 so killing two random white people in a bloody rage is revenge for Rodney king? Interesting
He was punished as a distraction.
distraction from what
@@LakeNonaFan What's really going on.
You heard how the rich rationalize being held accountable
Dude said skip working out
These Martin series have been a very funny and interesting....😀
I like his thinking. Very analytical based
Analytical does not mean smart
@@davruck1 stfu tf u thought u needed to tell me that dicchead 🤣🤣🤣
@@davruck1 He is smart though, he was just reckless.
if they offered him no jail time he would turn if down? absolute b/s
The crazy thing is how many people believe him simply because he’s a white nerd
No it's not. Tory also turned it down. They do it because it tarnishes their image and career depending in certain charges and possibly opens up for civil suits. Him beating a majority of the charges may have helped him.
Cause when you don't feel like you did anything criminal or moral wrong why plead guilty or say you did it
how is acquitting Puff Daddy an achievement? The guy should be in jail.
Get out of your feelings and understand context. He means career-wise, for the lawyer.

How does bro still money 💀
Fascinating
which vince staples song is he refering to at the end?
That’s a diabolical amount
That was a Asian dude that smacked Vlad not a woman😂😂😂😂
He’s a perfect combination of Monty Burns and Morty, somehow both a 13 year old boy and a pillar of late stage capitalism in the same package.
money isn't real
Martin Shkreli is the real life Tony Stark😂💯
Lol. If Tony Stark had tiny D and no brain. Losers...
no
@@realBarronTrump 😂😂😂
He’s a total bullshitter
Why do you say that?
He is correct about trial. The prosecutor definitely has an unfair advantage
Interesting ❤
Shkreli is a very articulate person. I think someone will make a movie about him.
Shkreli's arguments are so thin and nonsensical. IDK how people believe half the crap he says. He reminds me of Trump with his storytelling.
He’s white. This is white privilege. You can’t put a price tag on it. But when you need to lie and have those lies be accepted, then being white is priceless.
They're both new york shysters. Tale as old as time.
Because he is great at spinning stories to make himself look good. Most people have no idea about his business affairs so they take his word as fact. Gangsta Williams is a more honest person than this guy is

Biggie Smalls would say mo' money mo' problems !
His lawyer fleeced him for 20 million. Martin still ended up in prison. Smh
This guy is gold. Pure entertainment w him.
When he said for them he meant the judge the prosecutor etc etc
Lol, something for him, something for them, something for him. $20M can pay off alotta mfs.
He’s on that good pharmaceutical grade coca ❄️
i didn't realize this guy is so fucking interesting.. what a great interview
He has all that money and mom wont take a cent. She knows.
stand up guy
That gut buldjing out in the beginning….
I still F*CK with you Martin , though!
This boys a mouth, look at him.
...20 million?
The cartel dose more for less.
This guy more g than most these rappers. And he’s smart.
Martin, the system is not rigged the way you say it is. Many defendants get acquitted in jury cases also, even though as you say, the prosecutors get to go first, etc, etc. Many defendants are found guilty due to incompetent attorneys or overwhelming evidence against them.
He lies soo much tho it's crazy. He will go into another interview saying he lied or it was over exaggerated the 20mil part lmfao
sup vlad
He wasn't convicted because of the drug cost hikes. He was probably hated because of that. But, he was convicted because he's an arrogant wise ass that thought he could outsmart everyone.
Marty is cool ... but what i dont get it, he spent time in prison claiming his innocence. Theres no way today, like publish all details, to show that you indeed were innocent? I mean, that should be worth something. Seems to be a very good story behind all this, hes just hinting a few pieces - but, when you accept it all, all the time spent in prison ... well, then i guess u did understand why u were in prison.
he's not saying he's innocent, he's saying that he didn't REALLY do anything wrong. he broke the law but he didn't do anything wrong, nobody lost money, but what he did was still technically against the law. that's what he said multiple times
@@agsdjklshadsabn But why would he reject any sort of plea deal, including one with no jail time (as he says). Not sure what the difference between innocent and "doing nothing wrong" is ...the way he describes all sounds more like they wanted to punish him for being succesful (or something..)...but yea, most likely he broke some laws, i just get the impression he doesnt think so.
@@marchechter5047 why would he reject that plea deal... i have no idea, it's literally pure ego hahaha. i think he's just saying that, if his lawyer told him he's looking at 10 years vs no jail time with a plea deal, i'm sure he'd come to his senses and take the plea deal. for the 2nd part, you're mostly correct, what he's describing is being morally right (doing nothing wrong since nobody lost money), but legally wrong, and he's saying they went out of their way to punish him legally for something they know isn't REALLY wrong, they would have left him alone if it wasn't for him having a name in the media for raising prices and abusing the big insurance companies (which is why he says they're punishing him for making a lot of money and being successful). of course he did break the law, he was found guilty by normal people on the jury who have no hidden agenda. i'm pretty sure what he did was obviously wrong too, if i'm not mistaken he straight up lied to his investors or paid them back in a ponzi scheme type way, but technically nobody lost money so he's saying he didn't REALLY do anything wrong
Evil genius energy
20mill and still went to jail
wu tang ..
Its says this guy did 6yrs fed time
