    I have Mini X, my friend has the stealth. On a college campus, the Mini X is a lot better because of the agility and kick tail. My friend can't keep up on his stealth because he can't get around people very easily, can't turn around sharp corners, and can't go over curbs. If you live on a small campus or in a small city I'd say get a Mini.

      thanks for the insight. I was considering getting a longboard but I'm used to riding short boards anyway and I am a college student.

      @@mahuul I feel like even then the smaller one might be better even due to pedestrian traffic. I got to school at ASU and the people with longboards, both boosted and regular skateboards were very cumbersome due to their size

      The problem I have with the stealth is having a place to put it during class. With my Penny board, I used to put it under my chair or feet. The stealth, I have to leave it near the edge where there’s no foot traffic otherwise ppl might trip over it

    have both and honesty, I would go with the stealth. the stealth ride is so much more comfortable and can handle cracks in the road better at high speed. 2 months ago, I broke my wrist riding boosted mini x over a 1/2 inch wide crack while going full throttle. sure you can pivot with mini and carve tighter but personally it isn't as safe as a stealth.

    Oh and about the mini X, I first started on a short board but moved to a longboard for ride comfort and flex, I think for poeple who want a stiff short ride with longevity, they should go for the Mini X or S, but for poeple like me who longboard and wanna go fast I'd say the plus and the stealth are great options

    i would suggest wearing proper skate shoes (e.g nike sb's or something like that) on a smaller board, rather then bulky trainers as you will get a heck load more board feel and control. saying this from a skaters point of view were the boards are smaller and generally a lot rougher, you want to increase your ability to stay on the board which will allow your self to use the kick tail more freely.

    Living in the city cutting corners everywhere I prefer the mini x I wouldn't even need to go 24 mph good review

  • @fazer12779
    @fazer12779 6 лет назад +14

    Switch the wheels over & tests the top speed via gps on your phone. I reckon the 85mm wheels are what’s giving the stealth the slightly higher top speed.

    • @PeytonB
      @PeytonB  6 лет назад +3

      The Stealth still has much more powerful motors. Bigger wheels would help the Mini X, but it’ll all come down to the motors.

    • @SamuelMorris1
      @SamuelMorris1 6 лет назад +1

      2100 Watts vs 1000 Watts. 100mm wheels will get you close to 24 mph on the Mini, but you’ll lose a lot of acceleration.

    • @fazer12779
      @fazer12779 6 лет назад

      There is a big motor difference, but if we are just talking about top speed it would be interesting to see the exact difference the bigger wheels make.
      For the record I didn’t buy either, I bought the Evolve GTX which smashes the boosted in power (3000w) & range 31 miles 😃

    I ride my v2 dual with soft bushings and loose trucks. I came from snowboarding so I love that loose board feel. Once you get good with turning tight at speed it’s not bad. Truthfully I can’t tell you the last time I had a speed wobble. I ride it like I would a snowboard though. Steering starts with head then shoulder so whole body controls turns. Also bent knees to absorb bumps.
    I have thought about putting double kingpin trucks on front and back. Just worried board will flex too much. I’m 6’2 275lbs pretty solid. I would trade off some top speed for more tq. I have 4 snowboards for different weather conditions, 5 electric skateboards and I am looking at getting off road only board soon. Built a few different longboards last year too. Love the drop down deck and wish I had that in electric board or maybe just use mountain board straps. Either way I don’t think I am going with mini. Looking at trampa carver over another boosted board. Lean angles look pretty sick . I want the closest to snowboarding feel as I can. The acton Quattro I have is too much power honestly. Probably because no flex in the board. Plus you have to push start it because standing just opening it up good luck staying with on lol wish boosted had that torque since it’s more comfortable

    This is my personal opinion you can’t get a long board that’s electric noware near as good as a boosted board but there is a lot of skateboards that are electric that are still very good I Bought a boosted board stealth and a zinc Gyro electric cruiser which goes tops of 12 mph and has a 3 charging time and three hours of riding time for only 150 UK pounds another alternative if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on two Boosted boards is get them secondhand you can get a Boosted board stealth for about 800 UK pounds secondhand and a mini X for about £700 and if that still pricey a dual plus can be cheaper for 650 at least and a mini S can be about £400-£500

    Loosen the trucks all the way and leave them that way. Don’t ever ride with stuff trucks. Learn to ride it loose and the wobbles go away trucks are the issues it’s the balance. Relax, focus and just ride. For anyone wondering

    Hey,
    I been wanting a boosted board but I can’t decide whether I should get the mini x or the stealth. I want to know the pros and cons of having a long board and the pros and cons of having a short board. I’ve been hearing that the boosted is for comfort but the mini I don’t understand what the mini is for like stiffness.

      Alex Lim The mini has a kick tail so you can ollie it over curbs and turn more quickly.

    Is this board weather sealed, can I ride this when it's raining?

    • @PeytonB
      @PeytonB  6 лет назад +2

      They don’t advertise it as water resistant, but it’s pretty resistant to water. BUT, just know that it’s a horrible idea to long board in any wet conditions because the wheels will have no traction and it will be very dangerous.... but the board should be OK.

    Didn't know the mini has plastic gears. That can't be good for longevity.

    • @PeytonB
      @PeytonB  5 лет назад +2

      It’s fine for longevity. The V1 and V2 boards had plastic gears, and they basically do not wear in any way. The only difference is sound: metal gears are quieter.

    I just rode the mini x. Probably one of the worst boards I have ever ridden. Feet are completely numb after a short 5 minute ride. No thanks. Dude was selling it for $675 had 50 miles but I just don't like the ride very uncomfortable. The remote sucks. The remote goes in reverse when you brake which is freaking dumb. Looking at inboard m1 or onewheel pint. The inboard at least has swappable batteries and lights built in and it's been around for a few years now. Maybe I'll just drive to santa Cruz and go to onewheel hq and get their pint. I've ridden boosted boards own meepo boards. Ridden evolve metro you name it.
