    At the mine I work at, we have rock breakers constantly breaking boulders to smaller size so things like this doesn’t happen. Before the trucks are even loaded all of the feed is at a manageable size for the crusher. And if the crusher were to clog we have a breaker on a hydraulic arm that would clear it with ease

    This method of clearing jams is ridiculous. Put in a hydraulic arm/boom with a jackhammer-type attachment to break up the rocks. Based on the amount of time that would save in comparison to this madness, it would pay for itself pretty quickly, I am sure. They should track the amount of time spent clearing jams and do the math to see how much money they are missing out on. It's probably a significant amount. All that aside, love the videos and just subscribed. Keep em coming!

    Amazing unefficient company! 1. Problem: Very bad blasting, rocks are way to large in common!! That seems to be normal for them all the time? 2. Problem: Loader/Excavator operators: You should know the maximum size of the rocks that will fit into the crusher before you load them up. 3. Problem: Why to hell don`t they have an hydraulic boom fixed near the crusher with an hydrauliker breaker/hammer to break the rocks? Every crusher has this installed normally. 4. Severe Management Fail that is responsible for the shit that happens around this crusher!

    I’ve watched five or six of these videos and they always leave me annoyed at the inefficiency of the crusher operation. As others have suggested mounting a excavator with a long reach boom with a grasping bucket to free the large rock jams. It ridicules that as soon as one jam is painstakingly freed up, the very next load creates another jam. The excavator could also clear the fine soil that has solidified making the dump more efficient. But this mine must be owned by a cheap tight ass.

    You need a hydraulicly dumped rebar screen to sort out the rocks too big for the cone crusher to ingest. Dump the oversized rocks into a large jaw crusher to reduce the size of the oversized rocks and feed the result to the cone crusher. Also add a vibrating feed funnel band to alleviate the the dirt build up. The dirt serves as rock surface lubricant in the crushing process.

    You'd think a mining company could invest in a more efficient technology for breaking loose rock jams. How about something simple to at least control the movement of the hook tool?

    I can’t understand why they don’t properly address this hopeless issue. Even if the hook had more of a hook, it would be better. Hopelessly ineffective. A small grab would be so much better. I felt like jumping in there myself with a bar!

    • @-yeme-
      @-yeme- 3 года назад +3

      if the hook had more of a hook there would be a greater chance that boulders would fall on top of it and trap it as they tried to clear a jam, then they would have to shut the crusher down for men to enter it and clear it manually. the shape is intentional, a balance between being able to move the rocks and not getting stuck

    • @03056932

      at the end the next load would of shifted the boulder Into the crusher but they played with it for an eternity instead

    Seems like a dangerous place to work. A giant hole with a gyrating crusher, a big hook on a string that magically appears out of nowhere and air raid sirens constantly going off

    • @crazyedo9979
      @crazyedo9979 2 года назад +3

      The sirens maybe signalling power shortages, so you can switch off non critical machines. In order not to burn the high voltage transformer down or get cut off from the grid by the power company. It is not recommended to switch off a cone crusher under full load. It then got stuck and it is hard work to get it running again. 😁

    This is called the primary crusher
    Crushes rock to about 150 mm in size. Half a foot in the old language then goes through the secondary and tertiary crushers where it’s pulverised
    The round come in the centre doing the crushing is called the mantle if I remember correctly
