Great vid I started last month and I usually don’t give advice so bear with me
If you hold down on the d pad it will swap back to your healing flask instantly and if you end up using spells holding up on the dpad it will swap to the first spell equipped. I struggled with this too in my early playthrough hopefully this helps some 🥲

That ash of war is awesome in early game. Not only do you have a ranged attack but when the sword glows you also deal holy damage. Regarding multiple talismans you need to find another talisman pouch :)
Between that bear in the Red Dead stream and this, you've not had a good week when it comes to bears. As to why a bear would have a cookbook, do you know any recipes for salmon, honey-based treats or marmalade sandwiches off hand? A bear would have a cookbook. Especially if he were on his way to a picnic. Always entertaining. You're the best.

You're doing very well, that bloodhound fang is one of the best weapons in the game, highly recommend it.
Also those pillars that breathe out fire you can shoot them with an arrow and they will descend underground.
I think at this point my dex was a little low to use the fang.... not anymore though 🙌

37:13 Wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to go back down there, but you can hit that circular thing that was shooting fire earlier, quickly get on it, and ride it up to another level. If it's not that particular one you have to ride up, it's another one like it somewhere else. (Sorry, been a while since I played through myself.) There's catacombs like that one all over the map, some of them are puzzle-y, and all of them have a boss at the end.

This Bloodhound Knight reminds me of Artorias from Dark Souls, in that they strike in fast and sudden attacks, while also looking inhuman at the same time. A tough fight to be sure, but one less to worry about. 👍
I've never played any Dark Souls 😬
I think I've reached a permanent state of "haven't-got-a-clue" with this playthrough - and yet I cannot stop watching! 😶

Talk to Kale he'll tell you how to meet Blaidd.
If you have the Strength and Dex equip the Bloodhound Fang.
A level 2 Somber weapon is the same as a level 4 non somber.
If you want to make the boss battle against Margit and Godrick easier, look up Murkwater Cave
Make sure not to kill Patches, he will sell you a Shackle that helps in the fight and can be used to make those fire spitting things go up or down from a distance.
If you can make it up to the Road to the manor sight of grace, you can buy Somber Smithing stones 1-4 from Iji.
Elden Ring Map can help a lot.

Highly recommend that you use the bloodhound's fang, it's one of the best weapons in the game. It's a quality weapon, so it scales with both str and dex. Killing margit will unlock another talisman slot.

Sorry I'm behind but still very much enjoying his series. It is a lot more satisfying when you start to level up and begin to hold your own - I just wish it felt like that a bit more of the time as it just keeps getting more and more difficult 😂 I think that's why I drifted away in the end.

Well done on the Bloodhound Evergaol. Do check out the v weapon you got: Probably one of the two best swords you can get early game. It can take you all the way through with upgrades etc.

Hey jonsey. You can get some staffs for magic in this game and there are some spells in this game that make it a lot easier. There's a spell called rock sling and you throw 3 massive rocks at your enemy, you can just spam it. Magic in this game is very strong
I'm a little intimated by the magic tbh. But I will defo give it a go!

I don't record gameplay and I'm glad to have times to just get away from a game. I imagine it's harder to do with a recording schedule but I agree sometimes you just need a break and come back another day. Also agree you will be wanting to do stuff when you are not recording as the game is so huge and there is a lot of traveling. Hope you have a great start to your week!

I can’t tell you now cuz it’d be a spoiler but I don’t think you will miss it cuz you are not rushing through the game! You can have up to 4 slots only! Fun playthrough by the way!
