This song has been rated in the top 5 as one of the most romantic songs ever written/sung. I don't know if you knew how The Righteous Brothers got their name... They were just getting started & after they sang, guys were telling them "you brothers are righteous, man" due to their AMAZING, soulful quality. I'm in my 60's & when I first heard them sing this song, I literally melted & cried. They don't just sing, they put the emotional yearning into their voices & PLEAD. I know many a lady that swoons at this song, it is that beautiful & romantic!

Bobby Hatfield had the tenor voice and Bill Melody was the baritone voice they shouldn't have blended together but they did and it was pure magic. They were also inducted to the ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME in 2003.Unfortunitely Bobby passed away a few months after but Bill Melody is still singing and performing today 2022.
