For those of us that have heard and seen Bobby and Bill in person it is even all the most...way back when I had the pleasure of such. Bill had a restaurant bar and grill. Their sounds rang throughout the place..I'd take week end liberty passes drive from Camp Pendleton Marine Base just for the kicks of it..Being a jazz devotie when not a the local jazz joints I'd hit the R&B clubs. Which were many..Oh Yeah!! (smile).

“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 88 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin” was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century.
"Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965. Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby's use of "Runs" is brilliant. He is the master of the technique and started the trend. 7 notes just to say the word "I".... Their name came when they did a show in a smaller venue and a black man told them…. You two Brothers are Righteous. They created the sound and set the table that all Soul Music fed from for decades to come.
In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin’ Feelin‘" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......

"You've Lost That Loving Feeling" by The Righteous Brothers was, on American radio, the most played record of the 20th century ... over 8 mullion times in just 35-years.
If you haven't already, check out Bobby Hatfield going solo with "Unchained Melody"

Bobby puts this song into the awesome level - as he did on èvery song whether with Bill or alone. Bobby had it all including a killer smile ànd personality.
Head a unique gift and knew how to use it. RIP Bobby. A true Legend.

If you liked this song, please react to Soul and Inspiration. It was written by the same writers as a follow-up to the success of this song and again features the beautiful harmonies of both "brothers" (they weren't related). Soul and Inspiration peaked at #1 for three straight weeks in 1966.

I love watching another generation enjoying music from another generation. The message is timeless & I love watching your reaction. This song has been rated in the top 5 as one of the most romantic songs ever written/sung. I don't know if you knew how The Righteous Brothers got their name... They were just getting started & after they sang, guys were telling them "you brothers are righteous, man" due to their AMAZING, soulful quality. I'm in my 60's & when I first heard them sing this song, I literally melted & cried. They don't just sing, they put the emotional yearning into their voices & PLEAD. I know many a lady that swoons at this song, it is that beautiful & romantic!

Bobby Hatfield had the tenor voice and Bill Melody was the baritone voice they shouldn't have blended together but they did and it was pure magic. They were also inducted to the ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME in 2003.Unfortunitely Bobby passed away a few months after but Bill Melody is still singing and performing today 2022.
