Hey - can you help please? I've had the black version of this model Denon DRA 700AE for over 10 years. I've been really pleased with it. But I've always got a slight tingle when I run my finger along it -- & also the pick-up arm of my Technics 1210 deck which is earthed/grounded to it. I've just moved, so was setting it up again & realise that there are only 2 pins in the mains lead !! It isn't earthed/grounded ! And never has been ! I've unplugged it & scared to use it & surprised that I haven't had a serious shock from it over the years. What shall I do?
I have a question because I think mine is defect. I need to turn up the volume quite a bit. So do you when looking at the volume level of 41.5dB. This seems to be unusual that you will need to turn up the volume by 50% that it is about a bit louder to fill a room. Mine has a similar problem. With my Onkyo I only need to turn the volume to 25% to fill the room. Is it the design of the amp that you need to turn up the volume a fair bit?
