Every manager has failed. Correct. Because we employ poor managers. Who performed poorly. Moyes lost respect of the squad from early on, LvG style was too methodical and not practical for the premier league. Jose's style has become outdated and inevitably fell out with the squad. Ole, well less said about him the better. And EtH , has been another disastrous appointment.

@adamstannard7934 maybe you should actually look at the scenario with Fergie. He inherited a team at the bottom of the league. A decade earlier they had been relegated. They hadn't had a good season in years. Ten Hag inherited team who was 6th even with Rangnick, had finished 2nd and 3rd just before that and won the league a decade beforehand.

So they do that thing where, despite the mountains of evidence demonstrating he's out of his depth, they cling to this idea that he still deserves the job. United fans, by and large, simply have no idea how to watch football. I can only assume that 20 years of consistent success seriously distorted our fanbase's ability to objectively analyse football. When you turn up every week and your team keeps winning, that part of the brain that is supposed to look for weaknesses simply switches off. These fans have no idea what makes a decent coach as they can't even see where it's going so wrong on the pitch. It's even down to their views on our players. The amount of fans I've heard saying Dalot is a quality player. He's absolutely awful. He's only decent in comparison to even worse players such as Wan Bissaka, but judged against every other right back in the league he's still one of the worst players in the league.

A serious football club in Bayern wants Ten Hag. He was wanted by many top clubs before he came to United because of his track record with young players. Our playing young players are inconsistent also I disagree about putting in the youth defenders because I'd protect them from being ridiculed by some of the fans which may floor their confidence (for your information, our U-21 just got trashed by the Arsenals U-21s and the young players hung their heads in shame and were obviously gutted). I did not expect any win today because not one manager in the world would have won with this team of retirees. Sad but true. Not sure why are you still feeling gutted as I thought that you should have known that we were gonna lose.
We are gonna get trashed in the FA cup as we don't have a defence. Can't use the youngsters because they are not ready and if we do use them, their confidence is gonna take a huge knock.

If the problem were the players, what made the manager who signed the players who you branded as "the problem"? Btw, the above seven players have cost more than 360m. Dalot and AWB were the players he decided to keep, too.
That means the starting line-up was his team: Onana, Dalot, AWB, Caremiro, Evans, Eriksen, Mainoo, Mount, Garnacho, Antony, and Holjund. ALL ETH's PLAYERS.
I honestly do not understand why some of us keep saying, "Give him more time and money." The fact that we may have sacked the wrong manager at the wrong time in the past DOES NOT mean that we should not look into data and make the sack if necessary. Disagree with Andy on this one. Sacking the manager - the same as we've done every couple of years for the last decade - to get a reaction is just repeating the same cycle of mediocrity. You just encourage the players to down tools if they don't like the current manager, for whatever reason. Provided EtH is not running players into the ground in training and causing the injuries (I think it's more likely that certain players can't be arsed and are feigning it) he needs to be backed by the club.
Reading between the lines of his interview with Neville, he's very aware of the problems in the squad. If anything, we should be backing him to finish the job and complete a clear out of these players as Ragnick knew was required (it sounds like someone from the INEOS team finally read that report). In my view, he needs another summer to clear the deadwood and bring in fresh blood with the INEOS regime's backing. If we're still underperforming in January, then by all means give him his P45.
