I swear as much as I am interested in the Shinsengumi and samurais and ninjas in general maybe I was one in a past life. in fact I think Hakuouki was based off of what Sano has wrote about his time with the shinsengumi.

But there is one inaccuracy, Saito is left-handed on a Katana. He was right handed like everyone else in this show. But the series was good overall.
