I wish they shown Okita's Sandanzuki (3 way thrust) and Saito Hajime's Hirazuki variant (original was created by Hijikata but Saito redeveloped his own version). Also wanted to see what Nagakura Shinpachi's San Rendou Sa move looks like.

This show is so painfully underrated! Hakuouki got me hooked on Shinsengumi but THIS show at least gave appropriate character building to those who deserved it!... like the freaking head of the organization, Isami Kondo.

Hey a character route in the Ninja Shadow game I play is called Tokugawa. There is even a Hijikata and an Okita.
You gotta feel bad for Okita. Hijikata gets remembered as an absolute beast, while Okita becomes big tiddy Saberface gf.
If it makes you feel better There were lots of members that I am sure made some kind of impact but they are not all named. So, they are not remembered at all.

Okita souji was a good samurai...but his illness makes him weak thats why he died so easily..
Other than his alleged collapse during the Ikeda-ya affair, there is no reference of his illness interfering with his swordsmanship. To say that he "died easily" is simply incorrect, as he passed away from complications unrelated to combat

@@game-lk9hf 私も香取慎吾くんの近藤勇はよかったと思います。おじさんの俳優が演じることが多かった近藤勇ですが、実年齢に近い配役。史実の近藤勇は義母の虐めに悩んでいたようですし、そんな近藤勇に香取慎吾くんはぴったりでした。それから、芹沢鴨を暗殺したあとから段々と風格が出てきて、最終回では香取慎吾くん以外での近藤勇を想像できなくなっていました。

@Joseph Satri Cleofe Villanueva yep according to the wikipedia it was when hijkata was killed that the shinsegumi's time has ended. and it was a long time. I swear as much as I am interested in the Shinsengumi and samurais and ninjas in general maybe I was one in a past life. in fact I think Hakuouki was based off of what Sano has wrote about his time with the shinsengumi.
