So, what’s with the extra piece of laminate? On my Town Square tub, the flat deck is built into either side of the tub. I’ve drilled the 4 holes into the tub, but the spigot leaks from the base of the spigot on top of the tub and runs down below the tub, along the rough-in cylinder. Hoses are tight and leak-free. Is this because I need to add on an extra piece of laminate or plastic on top of the deck like in this video, before installing the valves into the rough-in cylinders? I’ve ordered replacement parts with same results. This is the last thing keeping me from enjoying my new tub!

Most complicated tub installation. Yall always make them complicated. Eliminate the push in handles. They are always terrible
