Hey Mr. Lazy, thank you for the video… realistically speaking, how long does it take to develop the eye for color and look development? .. I ask because I am new to videography and editing (started in July of this year), so learning to use my camera plus learning to use my lights, shot composition and learning to editing and grade all seems overwhelming… the saving grace is that my starting editor was Davinchi resolve. I also fell into the trap of buying way too much gear too fast and it just seems like a steep learning curve. So to set realistic expectations I wanted to get your professional opinion.
Thanks for your comments man. In terms of how long it takes...I will be honest, you might spend some years to get used to being able to develop that eye for colour. However it is also something you will only get good at if you keep practising. There is a natural BIAS that the eye does to colours and it deceives us atimes to want to see things either cooler or warmer, but that is why learning how to use the COLOUR scopes helps to start combating that. I have a video on COLOUR scopes dropping soon, this will be super helpful for you to start training your eyes.
Great explanation and amazing results in the fastest time.. We hope that you will provide us with a link to the training clips for it and we will be grateful for that.
