- "Keeping up with the Tafas.... how does that sound?"
Junior Tafa is no stranger to the lights, cameras & the stage of the UFC!
He's given us exclusive access to his training at NTG Fitness in the lead-up to his highly anticipated bout at UFC 305 in Perth.
Here after walker fight.. 😂
He needs to grow up or retire he’s too soft for the fight game
It’s difficult being the champion these days and almost impossible being a one dimensional champ at best…
I hope you guys evolve with the times, the both of you would be unstoppable with an added option of slick submissions in your arsenal…

I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing this story. I didn’t know NIP but I felt connected to him and hearing stories about him is inspiring. Super sad he had to pass away so soon
Uce, cut the talking out and check those kicks.
Shut up u hater... u sound so jealous. Support the brother
@@adamibrahim7706He isn’t even wrong tho. he also needs to learn takedown defence and just grappling in general same thing that goes with his brother
@@Fazak_Sidehe also needs to learn humility he disgraced his family his country
@@adamibrahim7706 like man it’s just what champions do and what they’re made of. if ye wanna become a Champion specifically an ‘MMA’ Champion especially a UFC Champion you’ve gotta learn shit like that. gotta learn how to grapple/wrestle and LEARN TAKEDOWNDEFENCE. his fight against Valter when he was down on the canvas he wasn’t even trying to get up at times he’d just let valter grapple rather then trying to get up sometimes.
I’m not a fan on Junior Tafa. I’m a fan of Justin tafa tho.
I met junior at a club in Brisbane. He was nothing like his brother Justin. Junior was arrogant.
We were in the smokers section and out of no where he was talking out loud about “I’m the best fighter in this place”. It was soo cringe. Then he tried to fight another Samoan man at the same club.
The thing was, he wasn’t even drunk!!!
Thats bad ego. Coming from the actual islands, I don’t recognise that lack of humility.
So this fight I’m going for Valter.
If everything you’re saying is true and he didint have a good reason to antagonize the other Samoan then I get it. No one wants an arrogant fighter to not get humbled. As far as him and Valter though it really is a flip of the coin. Valters takedowns and trips are pretty good and Junior does struggle when guys are able to get his back to the cage. If Valter can get Junior against the cage quick he could drag Junior out to a decision or tap Junior out quick. However, I hate that Valter has the same tendencies Johnny to leave his chin up whenever he gets backed up and he swings very wide. Juniors great at putting his combos together and setting up knockout blows so if Valter gets wreckless or backs up with his chin in the air I can also see Junior getting a classic walk off Ko. I feel like it’s gonna come down to Valter getting Junior down early or Junior connecting first.
@@hawaiianrussian1047 he didn’t have a good reason. It was his ego talking. I actually had a chat with the other Samoan before junior came into the club. It was good energy and us laughing at our stories.
When I introduced myself to junior I said I was a huge fan of his brother ect. Junior wasn’t in the ufc at that time. Junior was cool with me, I made it brief. His trainers were actually some of the nicest guys I’ve met. They stopped him from carrying on pressing the other Samoan.
But a trained fighter trying to fight a construction worker with 3 kids just trying to have a good time didn’t sit well with me. That’s all.
Also you’re spot on and accurate with your take! 100% agree.
@@3Z6I9R nah Junior has always had the reputation of the prideful/arrogant one in the ring so it’s bound to have to be somewhat of a personality thing. Justin and the rest of the uso’s seem humble. I grew up around a lot of Samoans and usually there’s at least one in the bunch that looks for trouble even though most of them are kind and humble people lol
@@hawaiianrussian1047 yeah you’re right bro. I love Samoans. Don’t get me wrong. I just can’t stand us Pacific Islanders in general fighting each other in public for no good reason. It’s a bad stigma on us.
@@3Z6I9R no very true. Seeing a Pacific Islander fight another especially for no reason is always going bring shame for us, but unfortunately growing up here in the islands it’s always happened. Fighting in general has always been apart of our culture but like you said us fighting each other is never a good look especially to our elders and the older generations in general.
Heavy hands will help alot especially if like they say the other person makes the first mistake because it might be a quick day at the office. If he Lands the Hand grenade its snooze time.
So one dimensional. Can’t even check leg kicks or stop a takedown.
Take downs are predictable and easy to stop with a well timed uppercut or knee.
@@SydneyLoli easier said in theory. 😂😂😂
These Russians and Americas grow up on wrestling.
Too harsh on junior.. remember he's still inexperienced & got put in last second against his brother's opponent. Give him time.. I still think he's more dangerous than his brother being that he's more technical & younger therefore more potential but we'll see first
@@floziq8117with his behaviour after the fight, he’s not going far
@@afrimidrizoski2712 so u suggesting he getting cut?
❤
Ah man, hard headed coconuts. KOs are great but if thats all you want then youre not gonna get much out of mma. Hope it still works out.
Brother breaks out an American accent once in a while
Better change his attitude towards wrestling.
Tafa not so tafa😂
