Seriously, same! My old startup failed, but a large part of why I was able to keep it up for 9 years was because I could wear the designer / developer hats as well as the founder / marketer / salesperson hats.
Excellent video! As a SaaS UI/UX design agency CEO, I resonate with the need to align website and product design. Although landing page design isn't among our services, we often create them for clients who come for product design. Because ensuring a cohesive user experience from the landing page to the product itself is essential
One of the biggest mistakes I experience as a user on landing pages is when it's totally unclear what the app or company ACTUALLY DOES. The first thing I want to know is "What does it do and who is it for? (is that me)" Way too many pages are too unspecific, e.g. "Improve your return on investment" - Ok bro, are you a financial advisor or a project management app that helps tracking cost?
GONG! Is it or is it not correct to say that most sites are initially loaded and subsequently used on mobile? THEN WHY LEAD ON THE DESKTOP? I wholeheartedly agree with her UX advice but she would have made more points (with me) had she approached us with respect to reality.
That's a good and important point! Especially considering that "add whitespace" advice - you need to absolutely check that it doesn't mess up the layout on mobile. Modern page templates should be responsive (adapt to screen size, esp width) but it's always important to actually check on a mobile device.

Great advice.
I am working on my own saas using no code and low code tools. Being a UI UX designer for 10 years is my unfair advantage

Curious to know, which tools are you using?
@@byuroscope In what areas specifically?
@@TracyOsborn Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I was asking @jeromebrown20 about no-code / low-code tools used for the SaaS project.

Is user experience a joke to you?
