Nice work. The diamond pattern looks great. For the inside of the centre console, you could maybe cut a piece of grey alcanterra and spray glue it in. Smoothing off those two areas first though. That would give it a truely quality look.
Ouch! Another SE owner here... What is the glue and foam are you using? Please keep posting these...I'd like to refresh my interior, but never thought it was a DIY project.
The sew foam is 1/4” Fabric Backed Sew Foam from Sailrite. Lotus used 1/2” in a number of places but I think the thinner material is a bit more contemporary. The glue is called Lokweld contact Cement. Most would agree it’s not DIY but I’m intrigued with the challenge. You can do it. Start simple. Watch videos…specifically a fellow on RUclips called Cechaflo. Take your time and be patient. You’d be surprised at what you can do.
Looks impressive Rick...
I have one of those hot staple plastic welding guns. Cheap one . I was surprised how well it worked and would recommend them these days
Yes. I saw TV ads for it and I was skeptical but it's a fantastic tool that will be used multiple times on this project.

Not a bad idea on the alcantara. I may do that. Thanks!
@Rick D, have you looked into composite skinning for interior parts? Food for thought.

Next time you are filling a hole in plastic try placing the tape on the visible side. You certainly are accomplishing things on your rebuild.
Doh! That would have looked considerably nicer.
