Shame on the Academy for not giving all this masterpiece work any credit… I know Avatar 2 is the obvious favorite for the award, but you guys deserved at least a nomination. Excellent work!
Money is their award
Kind words, thanks for the support
Easily some of the most amazing VFX of the decade thus far.
So proud of the work our teams did on this film. If you'd like to learn more about how we did it, I recommend the Befores and Afters issue and episode on this. The hard copy goes pretty deep into our visualization work.
Is there a place where we can learn vfx for beginners?
@@Himball great question. VFX podcasts are good to listen to for understanding how projets come together. You can try cheaper compositing software like After Effects, pick something you want to recreate (glowing magic, weather vfx, etc.) and find an online tutorial that can teach you. The Andrew Kramer video copilot series was a huge help for me.
Do they cover the double replacement for the chimpanzee. That was wild with the fabric in front
when a brilliant director + brilliant studio joins, visuals became lit😍🔥🔥
That cloud work is incredible!
This VFX work must be so cool to work on! Thanks for the video!
super interesting alien design
The cloth deformation sortta growing out of what looks like two really really closely layerd sets of pollygons? is mad interesting, the intersecting geometry causing them little highlights that things are clipping assuming the lower poly is driving a higher poly mesh or something maybe... It just blows my mind how seamless the growing part underneath the mesh is like how would you bake to something like this, would it even need that!! its one of these kinds designs that sends my character art mind into overdrive and i love it!
Just the fact that the cloudy Sky is almost digital in every Shot still blows my mind

the sky really was it’s own character in the film
looks super cool and very amazing!
Innovative VFX !! SUPER COOL
phenomenal work!
Good job!!!
Amazing work, I love it
night scenes were day? wow, and infrared techniques
Can you imagine the PC rendering Jean Jacket's cloth physics drifting on the wind in it's Unfurled Form?
Sounds like a Nightmare.
Finally! I want also look at VFX breakdown of Beast, M3gan and Cocaine bear from Universal Pictures.
Cool
I would like to look at VFX breakdown of Pinocchio, Beast, M3GAN, Cocaine Bear, etc.
Try doing the VFX breakdown of 2022's Pinocchio please?
Wondering why and how infrared layer was used in these scenes
Day to night conversion. N grading purpose
