I prefer the chrome and satin finish to break up all the black of the car. I have a white 2017 ATS-V purchased in 2020. It's all stock and I love the look of it as is. Enjoy the mods.
Thanks for Sharing Im removing bumper to replace the two led running lights and the dealership is charging 149 per shop hour to replace them at 4 hours so 600 in labor so I'm just going to do it this helps me alot! Thanks buddy
Damn it! You beat me lmao. I did this twice over the summer. Once to get the Cadillac shield off to black that out (I highly recommend hyper dip! even though you want gloss), and again to remove the headlights to try and wrap them in black like my rears. I was going to make a video of me doing this, but I hurt my arm. Good deal though, but my dude you took a few extra steps that you didn't need to drop the bumper. Wheels and front splitter can definitely stay on for this job.
@@JamalsGarage that little power harness on the driver side was most definitely the hardest thing I've messed with in a while (and Ihave a Volvo too! So that's saying something) . I damn near just cut it and soldered it when I finished lmao
If I wanted to just replace the emblem, couldn't i just pry the emblem off? I know all the clips will break but if they make an aftermarket black one, it's much easier to do that taking off the whole bumper. I know you wanted to also paint your grill surround, but mine's already black so I don't have to worry about taking that off.
@@JamalsGarage also me, if I just have to change emblem and try prying it off….would I damage it from behind to the point I couldn’t pop the new one in? Or you think I’d be ok?
@@JamalsGarage gotcha. I’m tempted to black mine out, I got the black rims, so it’d match pretty well. She looks good! The LED back lights are ten times better.
Jamal's Garage hell yeah man I was scared for a second lol! That’s V is badass man the LT4 is a monster I drive my grandpas ZL1 and that thing is fast so I can imagine your car!

Good looks bro! Yea I realized after I pulled everything off that I didn't have to remove the front lip *facepalm* lol

That was great. Do you have any videos on removing the rear bumper on your CTS ?
I don't, I haven't had to remove it yet :(
Is the bumper removal procedure the same for a non-V CTS?
It should be very similar

Yes you could just pry it off and break the clips. Way easier to do then pulling the entire bumper off

Appreciate the vids. Why not Dip the parts?
I just prefer to have it painted and PPF'd and never worry about it fading or chipping

@@JamalsGarage I painted mine myself! Plus I painted my front Emblem Diamond White Tricoat to match my cars color.
@@shanedawson-xt3wt have a pic by any chance? never seen the emblem in that color
Do you still have the C5 Z06??
