The thing about osu! is that for people who don't actually know how it works they think "I could probably do that". Full disclosure: I myself do not play Osu! I know relatively little about how it works and thus I can't really tell how difficult any given map is past how fast you appear to have to click. I am simply aware of what side of the Dunning Kruger effect I sit on.
