Objectification is something I think we are all guilty of from time to time, especially in the online world. Even moreso in the case of RUclipsrs, where the medium of self-expression relies heavily on the projected aesthetic. It's so easy to get caught up in the superficial and to put this person on a pedestal. The image we create of them in our minds is just that, an image. An idea. It is okay to appreciate beauty, but when done so with respect for the recipient. When that appreciation begins to cross that respectful boundary, then I feel like it is no longer a good idea. It is also important to note that these are people who have real lives away from their cameras. But most importantly, I think we should all remember to treat the creators we support with the dignity becoming of them and not like pieces of meat. In the end, we are all human and deserve to be treated as such. Love and light to all. 💜✨
