  • A tool to create a water-tight solid model around more complex 3D models. We use ShrinkWrapper to produce solid models used for applications such as CFD problems and gaming engines, where interior nodes and geometries are not required, but would otherwise make models very 'heavy' and difficult to process.
ShrinkWrapper is free, and produces very good results - depending on your settings and time. It does require more time to produce higher resolution outputs, but the results are quite good!
    ShrinkWrapper offers two methodologies:
    - Direct triangle wrapping
    - Virtual pointcloud generator and surface reconstruction

Woo Hoo! Can't wait to try this out. It looks just amazing, and just what I have been searching for to make a solid without destroying detail, AND removing internal geometry. Thanks a million.

You might have to play around with the parameters to get it just right. It's definitely not an exact science, but you should get pretty decent results with the right input parameters. The scale of the model also affects the magnitude of the input params. Enjoy!

@@bimwerx It’s all a learning curve for sure. And patience is a good tool to have too! Any documentation beyond this video? I’ve not had a chance to look around the website yet. Thanks.

@@cynthiahowe6653 Not too much documentation yet - will get there soon when I get a bit of time, but it's pretty straight forward. Try an follow the video as much as possible and you should be fine. I'll make some more tutorial videos in the near future
