Thanks for the review, I started using a One Wind hammock last year and really enjoy it. Their 40° under quilt actually works below that temperature rating (for me, anyway) and with the top quilt I was comfortable down to 28°. A major selling point for me is how affordable the components are, I have a great hammock system for just around $200. Looks like the UQ protector will be the next purchase.

I am with you Richard! I can go lower with my single layer than with my blanket attached. I struggle with the weight of the extra blanket. I have been down to 24 in just my thermals and a hoodie.

It would be nice if the uq was waterproof not just resistant then you may not need the protector.
I just got the uq and going to try it tonight.
Thanks for the set up video

The main benefit of the UQ protector is it keeps the morning dew from building on the UQ itself. In wet weather climates, high humidity they are worth having. They also do a fair job at blocking some wind off of your back side.

Would this work for other brands? I have a warbonnet hammock and underquilt

Great review. Would you say this could be used instead of an underquilt in the 60F/70f range ? Would that bring a bit of warmth to my hammock ?

This won't work as an Underquilt in any temperature range. It would work as a windbreaker but I would want more insulation.

Great review. The weave is called "rip-stop".

having a tough time deciding between the uqp or the wind sock from onewind. condensation in the windsock scares me as I plan on aub zero Celsius hammock hangs this winter.

I use both. If I was going to use one it would be the Windsock. It creates a micro climate around you. The UQ protector offers some protection from the wind but I mainly use it to keep my UQ tight around my hammock. Use my link and discount code if you by one.
