The conversation delves into the current state of military technology, particularly focusing on hypersonic missiles and the perceived superiority of the US military and NATO. The speakers discuss the implications of modern warfare technology, the challenges faced by the US in keeping up with advancements made by other nations, and the realities of military engagements in places like Gaza. They also explore the concept of 'super hypersonic missiles' and question NATO's overall military capability in the context of global power dynamics.
-NATO needs to develop weapons for the 21st century.
-The US lacks critical modern warfare technology.
-Hypersonic missiles are a game changer in military strategy.
-The perception of US military superiority is being challenged.
-Gaza conflict highlights limits of military power.
-Hamas has gained significant global support despite military actions.
-The US military's technological advancements are lagging behind.
-Super hypersonic missiles may not be practical or effective.
-Quantity in military production can outweigh quality.
-NATO's military capability is not as strong as perceived.

i the US developed hypersonic missiles first (in order for russia to steal them) then where are the US missles now??

Hahahaha okay good one, russia stole hypersonic tech from the US? hahahaha! Trump never dissapoints.

Trump is a own. And typical of American thinking that no one can innovate anything except America. Thus Russia must have stolen it 😂😂😂

One significant problem in the US is the military industrial complex which is driven by profit above all else. This would be a dangerous game to play in China or Russia and would result in severe consequences for executives/workers including execution as happened in China when a baby food company was prosecuted for the deaths of babies because of unsafe practices

Seems like a "Empire" has no clothes moment. Especially now with the release of DeepSeek R1 and more to come.

The only thing that can stop hypersonic missiles are two things: Gravity control or directed energy weapons. Both technologies are pretty much impossible to make and field. Gravity, well, good luck, we can barely detect gravitational waves and we have been trying to figure out quantum gravity for 6 decades-nothing! Anyone with gravity can win a nuclear war flat out and would do so if they could. No one can. Then lasers, that's impossible because of atmospheric scattering and immense power supply issues etc. So no, there is no such thing as hypersonic defense. Maybe, except using a nuke to hit a large radius. But you would be using nukes against hypersonic non nuclear duds that could contain gold and other material that could make your air radioactive for decades. You can't hit something going 1 mile and second. You have to acquire target, track and guide not only that but you are launching against something, gravity is actively fighting your already delayed missile launch to counter a already in motion hypersonic object.

as you can see this type of weapon (en mass) poses a real problem for attackers and defenders

@davidgallahair1206 All that is left is passive quantum radar. Once that gets achieved, war will return to WW2 levels. Air superiority would be impossible as most SAM missiles are hypersonic and have cameras attached to them. WW2 would end up being like WW2 with ICBM nukes at the end.

The Russian maybe have a peep on the US hypersonic plan and use it on what not to do. So they gained time.

if one has tens or hundreds of thousands of hypersonic missiles or missiles capable of Mach25+ that can attack and defend then one can literally act with impunity. Submarines and deeply sheltered or possibly space based weapons might be the only things safe from destruction.
