This is an answer to prayer. I can't thank you enough! God's richest blessings to you.
I came across this video on removing amber from globes. This worked like a charm. I also wanted to say I appreciate your step by step instructions.
Just bought a house 3 months ago and have been doing this to each light set. What a change. Used the spray! Modernized the house.
Wow!! Great job! Thanks for sharing! All the light fixtures look brand new and I love how it lights up the rooms so different than before. 🤗👍❤👏
This really works so well! Thanks to your videos I turned my entry chandelier from yellowish gold to a beautiful frosted white. Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing! Love the change up for the chandelier!
Glad you like it!
I was about to buy new lamp shades for my bathroom because, l have the same problem you did... I’m going to the Home Depot tomorrow to purchase some Citrus Stripper and strip off the frosted paint on them. Thank you so very much for this wonderful idea! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I was shocked to hear you say Ingleside Lamps since I live in Macon. It’s a small world. I loved your projects.
Macon GA is my hometown. Now I live in WR. There are some goodies in Ingleside Village. My favorite restaurant is the Back Burner. Surprise!
You never cease to amaze with your tips, ideas, and creativity!
Hello Love! I can only use what God put in me... and it is so much fun Sis. Stay beautiful and safe out there.
It was amazing! I bought the same stripper and I had a large pendant globe that was coated on both sides. I applied the stripper and waited 10 minutes. It all came off with paper towels and I used a steel wool pad to lightly get in the creases and remove any residue. It worked great and I was able to update my lighting with a little spray paint and some stripper.
Problem solved! Thanks , because I did not want to take my fixtures down. Love it!!
Yeah! Me neither. I am delighted with the results. You got this!
Thank you so much for sharing all the tricks on how to re-purpose light you already own and make them look new and refreshed hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy
Stunningly beautiful! Thank you! Love your simple, non repetitive and detailed instructions.
Your are so welcome. I appreciate the kind feedback.
Citris stripper! Exactly what I needed. I was trying to figure out how to take the color off my ceiling fan globes because the price for replacements has gone up. Thank you so much. I am subscribing.
Just ran across this video as I’m sitting at my daughter’s dining room table, thinking about the dated chandelier above. You just solved my problem and, like you, it won’t cost a dime as my paints are plentiful. Going for the flat black and new glass cups. Thanks, SO MUCH! Xo Sacramento
Thank you! This is way better than I expected. I want to take some fixtures with me when I move as our house is being demolished. Now I can save some money!
Hi Cathryn! Great job! I love the updated refreshed look of the light fixtures! Have a blessed and wonderful day!❤🥰❤

Happy Monday Cathryn!!! Wow, three great projects. I forgot that the film on those lighting fixtures are removable. That instantaneously changed the look of your lighting. I am guilty of spinning my chandelier when I clean mine...now I know better! Thanks for sharing and caring!

This is an excellent tutorial. I have kitchen pendant globes that are over ten years old and are the same color as yours were. I've been looking for a way to take the yellowish color off the globes or paint over them. Thank you very much! Fingers crossed that mine will be as pretty as yours. I'm going to search for the candle chandelier. It must be lovely. =-)

Hi Cathryn! Wow! Who Knew? I've only used Safest Stripper on wood. Have never used Citristrip before. Now maybe I will! Love the globes! Look at you not even taping at the ceiling. What skill! Great work!

💓My mum turned her up lights to down lights💓By removing the Center part (unscrew or un clipping it) turn it over💓
Yeap! Just a little ingenuity is all it takes.
Great job!
Thanks Dana Dana!!!
Beautiful
😯Amazing Art!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Big thumbs up and Big Subscribed. 🙃💕💖💐
I have the opposite problem: I bought 2 modern style/minimalist frosted white wall sconces that look great with the lights on, but when the lights are off, they look TOO white--like I cut a piece of PVC pipe in half and hung on the wall! Lol! I'm searching for a way to add a translucent color to tone them down. Any ideas? I'm a little nervous about painting them, as I don’t want a blotchy look. Would some kind of stain work on the white frost coating?
Run them through your dishwasher first. For me, this got 80% of the yellow off. This greatly reduced the amount of scrubbing. After the dishwasher, I used acetone, but I would think that any paint remover would work.
Shut up! My weekend project! Can’t wait, i never knew
Go Ginger Go! I love this project!!
Enjoy 😊
You had a happy Halloween this year
👏👏👏 V e r y n i c e 👏👏👏
I removed the film by accident by scrubbing them with Dawn and a green scrub pad.
Brilliant
thank you so much you save a lot money to me xoxo
How can I see the finished product, last chandelier that you changed to candles? I want to see it gold.
What paint would you recommend if we wanted to paint the light fixture that you used the gel stripper on ? And what sealer would you recommend
Beautiful 👀😻 🙈🙉
Omg thank u !!
After cleaning the glass shades with the Critristrip, did you leave them completely clear or paint/frost them? If so, what did you use and how's it holding up with use/heat? I want to paint the glass light shades on our current chandelier but I'm not sure what paint will withstand the heat/use and adhere well to the glass. Thanks so much!
Hi Jennika! They are holding up just fine. I did not paint them. The frost does not go away just all of the weird crackling effect on the outside. If you paint them, paint them on the outside with craft paint and spray with a clear acrylic.
What type of stripper do you use… the same you would use on furniture..
What did you do with metallic craft paint?
Wow
What is that you're taking off the globes
It is a high temp paint. It gets yellower and yellower over time.
👍❤
