No joke, I was about to buy a chair from GTRacer until I watched this review. I paid $425 for a Vertagear PL6000 "Big Boy" chair on sale back at Christmas in 2018. The chair was advertised as a heavy-duty ergonomic chair and was rated for a 440 lb person. My initial impression was that it was very high quality, very adjustable and very comfortable to sit on for extended periods of time. Un fortunately, my experience was also very short lived. The gas strut failed literally on the first time I sat down on the chair. (Went straight to the floor and never worked after that) I lived with it like this way for a couple months but then the seat base adjustment mechanism cracked apart where the gas strut goes into the base. I contacted Vertagear and requested a replacement adjustment mechanism and gas strut. They required a ton of documentation... pictures of the failure, pictures of the serial number, copies of the sales receipt. They kept requesting more and more information and kept stalling and stalling! It took well over a year and numerous follow up emails and phone calls before they eventually sent me the replacement parts. The gas strut that they sent was much shorter than the original and had only about an inch of travel. It had to be set at the fully collapsed position to be at the correct height, so effectively it no longer had any usable seat height adjustment. After I installed the parts, within just a few months the seat adjustment mechanism broke again in exactly the same place and in the same way. I reported the failure and requested them to send another replacement seat base. To date, I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED the part. Once again, Vertagear has stalled and stalled, and keeps giving me excuses and putting me off. In nearly 4 years of ownership, I have only got about 4 - 5 months of actual use. The rest of the time, the chair's been sitting in a corner, broken and unusable. Very disappointing! Also, now I notice that Vertagear has reduced the weight rating of the PL6000 line from 440 lbs down to only 350 lb. (Over a 20 % reduction!) Apparently, it was never up to the advertised weight rating.

I have secretlab titan 2021/22 chair and it is very comfortable. When it came the right arm rest button for adjusting height was broken and I had no problem replacing it. The customer service for me was very good. Would recommend this chair if you can afford it.
I love how you compare the price ranges. I see this a lot with gaming PC hardware, but this is the first one I've seen for chairs. The Spider-Man one is cool, if I was a little kid. I decided to go with all-black. You are totally right about avoiding agressive wings on chairs. I find them really uncomfortable and am glad that I found one without them. I love the separate pillows because I am a foot and a half taller than my wife, so when she sits in my chair, her head and lower back are in totally different places than mine. I'm glad to find cloth chairs as leather (real or not) is so uncomfortable for me that I wind up putting a t-shirt on the back and a pillowcased cushion on the bottom which defeats the purpose of having a leather cover. My chair was $400 MSRP but I got it for just under $300 on black friday sale. I got an AKRacing Opal and it's like going from a base model Ford Focus to a Ford Fusion or something compared to my old sub-$100 chair that has been hurting my back and hips for years. I even tried one of those pillows made for people with damaged tailbones and even that didn't really make my hips feel any better. It isn't the fanciest chair on Earth, but it's a big upgrade for me.
I did plenty of research on chairs before I bought mine. Watched many review videos. I decided to go with the SecretLab Titan and Omega! Bought them both at the same time and almost 3 years later I would never look back! They still are like brand new! I spend a lot of time in my Titan chair (5-8 hrs sometimes) yet it shows no visible signs of failing materials. I would buy another one any day of the week! There is one problem with the armrest though. I'm on my second one. I do however put a lot of weight on the left armrest pad as I constantly lean onto it for support so that's my fault. They are on the expensive side but definitely worth the money! As far as being comfortable, I weigh 230lbs and I can chill in my chair for hours heisting on GTA5 without any discomfort. Happy shopping! Secret Lab is my hero!
Great video. I watch videos like this before spending 100-500$ if any companies are wondering. It is almost impossible to tell how a chair is going to feel unless just buying it from Amazon.
I've had my Titan weave for a few years now. It hasn't lost any padding and I have sat in this chair while working from home, gaming, doing school. Best chair I have ever owned.
This was the perfect video i needed to consider upgrading from my office chair ;-P I'm 73 in and 210lbs so thank you for the solid and down to earth review!
Love the video. I just bought a $200 chair myself...as a 220 5'11" broad shouldered man, the chair hated me...I just leaned back and the wheel broke off and I fell...hard. Fucked my back up and now am buying a titan chair. Great video!
Great info, very informative. Are the most expensive gaming chairs in the $500 dollar range? Are there more expensive classified gaming chairs out there?
The general end result seems to be that the chair gets better the pricier it is, which generally is a given, but the reflection that you need to make is to see what you’re willing to spend at the moment. A chair like that is definitely an investment. You buy a good quality one once, and you never have to buy it again. If you buy the cheap low quality one, then you might see yourself buying it again or having complications further down the line.
This was a great video. It looks like you actually tested each and every chair in your review. I currently have an office type chair, it's comfortable enough but the hydraulic is shot. So I'm looking for a new gaming chair and your video helped a lot. I'll be looking at Secretlab for a chair in the future.
Thank you so much for the advice! I recently ordered the Titan Evo as someone 5’4” and 140lbs. It may sound like an odd choice, but I have Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome and it’s very uncomfortable to sit like a normal person and require a lot of room for mobility. I’ll see how it goes, and this is a grand upgrade from a literal wooden chair from the kitchen.
At first when I got the secret lab evo I was feeling uncomfortable af, but then I realise it corrected my seating posture and no longer getting back pain, now im used to the firmness can say it is def better than my previous dxracer.
The titan evo 2022? Im lookin at one of those not sure what size to get though im 170cm so small is recommended but not sure if i should take that or go up one to be cautious
I would love to get a really nice office chair, but honestly office chairs are often SO much more expensive than even secretlabs which was the high end of this video. I was looking at herman miller and it seemed like they were 200-700 more when bought new, which is INSANE
This is exactly what I needed to see as I’ve been searching for the perfect gamer chair that fits for me and this in depth breakdown of those chairs helps me to decide.
Wish I had this video last year. I bought a gaming chair for nearly $200 and its so uncomfy. Should of gone for an office chair. I'd love to see office chairs at different price points review.
@@FracnoTV I'm in the UK so I'm not exactly the best person to ask for specific products. From what I've personally looked at: The Amazon Brand Umi. Any SIHOO or Hbada office chairs would also be interesting. Your quality reviews is what keeps me coming back. It feels like (and I'm sure there is) so much research, testing and planning is put into your videos. It's what gives your opinion so much weight. Even if I can't get that specific product, I now know what to look out for the a UK/EU version.
Great take on ergonomics. For me all the high end ergonomic chairs are downright painful. I bought a fully loaded Herman Miller & couldn't use it. The flat seat & back of lower end gaming chairs are comfortable all day long for me.
At first I thought $500 was too much for a chair but I’ve decided I’m going to spend that much because it’s a long term investment. 50% of the time I work home and I game a lot so a $500 investment for comfort for years to come, comes out to like $10 a month over the course of 4years. And keeping me comfortable for those 4 years
Gaming chairs are bad. Get a office chair for that money and you’ll have a better quality and more comfortable chair. Except if you want it because of looks
Man I got a bad back and neck hurts when I don't sit just right when gaming. Can y'all help a brother out? If 500$ is what I need to spend then I'll do it but I don't wanna spend 500+ $ on a chair that I can't sit in
I had a dxracer chair (cost me around 400-500) and it was cool but I didn’t have any back support. It can’t with it but it just wasn’t aggressive enough so I just dealt with it for a year and a half. I recent got tired of it because my back and hips just started to hurt bad after a hour now. So I gave up and did a bunch of research and landed on a Herman Miller aeron chair fully loaded. Probably the greatest amount of money I ever spent to be honest. I’m beyond thankful and love what I’m on now vs what I was on.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to GN as bias bullshit before. They have a rather longstanding history and reputation of citing sources, being transparent, and being pro consumer with a length, proven track record.
Just got the SIDIZ T50 very comfortable for poster will be the replacement from the dell office chair I was using noticed the mesh is more comfortable then the padded one the chair also rolls on carpet easy appreciate the content just liked and subscribed:) there also on sale on Amazon for 359$
I am now or should have purchased a gaming chair years ago. I'm 49 but have been gaming since the Atari 2600. I don't want loud, I want comfort. Have you seen or tried the "X-Chair?" They start at 399.00 and go up to almost 2k. They also come with a 15-year warranty. Just wanted to see if anyone out there uses them for a primary gaming chair.
A+ video my man. Thanks for such a good review. Great editing and awesome chair choices. I hope you keep up the good work. I personally have the secret chair, upgraded from the dx racer.
Gotta mention one thing about the $100 chair, The new model you have in the video show me just how much they have cut costs. I have an older version of that same chair and its pretty different. The fake leather is very tight still even after 2 years on my model and the base although my model was made of plastic still holds up and came pre assembled. I guess either covid impacted them or they just went super cheap. Such a shame to see.
Herman Miller is the pinnacle of ergo chairs, depending on who you talk to. I just know they've been the top shop when it comes to chair design for decades.
My first gaming chair was $120 but had the features and looks of the chairs in the $300 price range. It lasted me around 2 years and now I’m looking for an upgrade, and this video is excellent
I just ordered a Titan evo 2022 and I can't wait to try it out. I am a little worried about the firmness. I am coming from a pretty old DX Racer chair. When I first got the Dx Racer I remember that it was rather stiff/firm at first but after a week or so it broke in and was comfortable. I am hoping it is the same with the Titan evo 2022.
For a middle tier chair, at around 250, I think Dowinx competes well man fr. My wife has a 500 dollar chair and my dowinx feels just as good and looks amazing. One of the best if not the best chair at mid level price points for a gaming chair
When you sit in a lawn chair while gaming for years, or a regular dining room table wood chair with pillows for padding ... Any of these are huge steps up lol huggggggggeeee upgrades
I really love your video & I appreciate your honesty & detailed information especially for big guys like me & whatever I can do to help get companies to have you review their products I will do thank you again 💯🔥💯💪🏾
Awesome vid! Hopefully one day you could do a Hermanmiller vs secret lab chair to see if the extra money is really worth it. Seems like a no brainer but idk lol
The problem with gaming chairs is that the ones most people are realistically going to get are exclusively crap and by the time you get to the nice ones price becomes so high that even the good ones will have all around better non-gaming alternatives.
Anyone who sits in a cheap chair or a couch will soon realise (maybe not when they are 16) but as they grow older, their back will hate them for it. And they will need to upgrade to something along the lines of SecretLabs or better. Been gaming for my entire life, speaking from experience.
Yeah I had a DXRacer since 9th grade and I loved it and I didn’t understand why people saying it is bad. Then now as I got older the chair started beating me my back and legs were hurting. I ended up buying a new chair this year the XL Secret lab softweve and I couldn’t be happier the quality in this chair is crazy good! The only thing I’m upset about it is that they dropped the new line 2022 right after I got mine..
@@Applepro7 that happened to me as well, had dxracer king series for 3 years, the last year i developed back pain. Then bought the new secret lab titan evo and no longer have back issues, sometimes the smallest details causes big difference.
I can say I got a 100 gtracing gaming chair and it has up and down adjustable armrest and full recline and it wasn’t very hard to assemble but and I mean but the fake leather started ripping within a little under 2 years
great video, love the chapters and so much content. im looking for a gaming chair rn and this has been so helpful. my only gripe is the volume is lower then other videos on youtube and i had to crank my computer volume which is a little annoying and id really love to see the volume be normalized to whatever is normal on youtube. i dont wanna watch this video and forget my volume is cranked and kill my ears lol
My issue with my 2 recent purch gaming chairs (Rayspan 100 and DXRacer 2022 PC Gaming Chair_) is not even close enough seat cushioning barely more comf than when i used my dining chair).. MORE quality cushioning for my ass is very much a desire to have...me ass hurts, yo lol
I'm a bigger guy and I fought the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on a "gaming" chair for quite a while. During that time I purchased numerous inexpensive/cheaper options, only for them all to be rickety and unreliable junk, especially for many of their price points. About a year and a half ago I finally caved and ordered a Secret Lab Titan XL 2020 and I cannot express just how invaluable that extra couple hundred dollars has been. It's a night and day difference in all aspects. As they say... Buy cheap, buy twice.
Spent 150 on mine and it’s hella better than my lil wooden stool, I’m 6’1 and got a chair with a recline function, I stream sometimes for upward of 4-6 hours, this chair I don’t have to get up from back pain, I only get up to grab something I need so really you need to look at what you have, what you do and what suits your needs
The racing chair shape was made to give side support in high sideways G-Force scenarios. It is absolutely wrong at home, as you point out by saying it limits sitting positions. The wings are an anti feature
I agree with gaming chairs being not actually bad. I have owned an F tier GTRacing brand gaming chair for 4yrs now and it's been very good to me working at home for 4yrs now. I can sleep on it, sit for 15hrs, armis very adjustable, problem is it's squeaking already lol
Go to living spaces if you want a good chair. I spent 1-2 hours trying recliners and found a great chair for $600. If you can't afford 600; then consider buying a cheap chair and invest in pillows instead. I used to sit on those walmart camping chairs and just added couch pillows; thus making the chair great. Keep in mind I am a 280-300 pound individual.
3 years ago I bought this very agressive looking gaming chair for about 120 euros, it is right now at this moment causing a lot of discomfort when sitting for over 30 minutes. I've ordered a secretlab titan 2020 softweave yesterday because the discomfort and sometimes pain is driving me insane.
Congratulations on being the first person to attempt to convince me that corporations are not evil and that it’s just biased to think negatively about them
On another note, the closer it is designed or mirrored between a cross of a automotive seat and a Lazy Boy, the better it is. I noticed on the $400 and up, the upholstery is secured by hog rings, just like a real car seat. You get what you pay for.
Thanks dude, great video! Broad shoulders here, the aggressive racing style doesn't really fit my physique and the level of comfort I want from a chair, thanks for the info
office chairs always gave me issues and body hurt sitting long hours. Gaming chair, and long hours sitting and pain is barely there. Worth the money to get a good gaming chair.
just saw this after dropping 200 on a chair and i feel much better about my decision to go cheap in the beginning and really save up for the chair i want long term
I have the Omega but I just don't use either cushion. My lower back just doesn't bend in that much and I am too tall for the "neck pillow" to be in the right place. I did try the titan but it's not significantly taller and the arm rests are uncomfortably far apart. Really happy with the Omega but I wish there was a chair that considered tall & slim gamers.
I've gone through... maybe 20 videos trying to see if my want of a fox chair for $500 is valid (the Secret Labs chair). I found a Razer chair in the store then compared the tech sheets between Razer and Secret Labs, along with many videos. I think I will get it after I fix up my room ^^.
I don't get why they add those side bolsters to support you body because you are not driving on curvy road with these chairs. They are just uncomfortable and push your shoulders forward which makes upperback and shoulder pain on long run. Other problem is that these chairs are sized for very tiny persons or childs. I bough one few years ago but regret it now and realise that normal office chair is much better for your body

I love how you spend time explaining and giving your honest review I love you ❤️
@Fracno...Thanks to your review I have a great chair now.... Also Retired Military here... Thank you for your service
I love how every chair has been scratched to death by a cat LOL
It should be more precised the cats effects on chairs...
I just got the homall gaming recliner in today. Im gonna do the setup/1st impression tomorrow when i open her up
This was a great video. It looks like you actually tested each and every chair in your review. I currently have an office type chair, it's comfortable enough but the hydraulic is shot. So I'm looking for a new gaming chair and your video helped a lot. I'll be looking at Secretlab for a chair in the future.
Don't get a gaming chair. Going to a gaming chair from office chair is a huuuge downgrade.
Awesome video Fracno, was extremely informative.
This was a great video explaining about different gaming chairs. Really helped me decide what chair I wanted to get
At first when I got the secret lab evo I was feeling uncomfortable af, but then I realise it corrected my seating posture and no longer getting back pain, now im used to the firmness can say it is def better than my previous dxracer.
The titan evo 2022? Im lookin at one of those not sure what size to get though im 170cm so small is recommended but not sure if i should take that or go up one to be cautious
@@robertcatterall4677 get 1 up into the normal size,im 170 too and using normal
@@Wanted54321 cheers 🤙
@@robertcatterall4677 get the softweave btw, much better than the faux leather
I would love to get a really nice office chair, but honestly office chairs are often SO much more expensive than even secretlabs which was the high end of this video. I was looking at herman miller and it seemed like they were 200-700 more when bought new, which is INSANE
for real
This is the perfect video I was looking for. Thank you for existing! Subscribed
Fell asleep watching this and woke up to the last chair that I already thought was the best lol.
Which chairs would you like to see specifically?
@@FracnoTV I'm in the UK so I'm not exactly the best person to ask for specific products.
From what I've personally looked at: The Amazon Brand Umi. Any SIHOO or Hbada office chairs would also be interesting.
Your quality reviews is what keeps me coming back. It feels like (and I'm sure there is) so much research, testing and planning is put into your videos. It's what gives your opinion so much weight. Even if I can't get that specific product, I now know what to look out for the a UK/EU version.
I’ll check those out and I genuinely appreciate the kind words.
Love the Dream shirt, absolutely love them. Also always appreciate these type of videos
And keeping me comfortable for those 4 years
you wont regret it I love my secret lab
Gaming chairs are bad. Get a office chair for that money and you’ll have a better quality and more comfortable chair.
Except if you want it because of looks
@@timbonator1 thats a lie lmao
meanwhile Herman Miller: 2165$ for embody
Killer introduction. I like how you lay out the facts quick.
OMG thank you for the insight im 6'8 and ive been puzzling on the difference in these gaming chairs
Such a shame to see.
freeballing during a chair video review. This
is the hero we need.
Herman Miller is the pinnacle of ergo chairs, depending on who you talk to. I just know they've been the top shop when it comes to chair design for decades.
would love to see you also include in your comparison NobleChairs! great video, such in depth analysis. thank you.
My first gaming chair was $120 but had the features and looks of the chairs in the $300 price range. It lasted me around 2 years and now I’m looking for an upgrade, and this video is excellent
What gaming chair was it im looking for a beginner one
I just ordered a Titan evo 2022 and I can't wait to try it out. I am a little worried about the firmness. I am coming from a pretty old DX Racer chair. When I first got the Dx Racer I remember that it was rather stiff/firm at first but after a week or so it broke in and was comfortable. I am hoping it is the same with the Titan evo 2022.
For a middle tier chair, at around 250,
I think Dowinx competes well man fr.
My wife has a 500 dollar chair and my dowinx feels just as good and looks amazing. One of the best if not the best chair at mid level price points for a gaming chair
I heard it squeaks alot. It's what's keeping me from getting one. Been looking at a $300 gtracing chair recently tho...
Great video and very helpful best of luck in your YT career bro.
When you sit in a lawn chair while gaming for years, or a regular dining room table wood chair with pillows for padding ...
Any of these are huge steps up lol huggggggggeeee upgrades
I have the Secretlab Cyberpunk 2077 chair. Absolutely love it.
Great review! I have been researching chairs for awhile and this was really helpful. Thank you!
This is a great video! Great job man, I can tell you put a lot of time into this. Respect
True
i have some old cheap office chair that is orange, i added pillows for better cushioning and covered the back and seatg with blankets lol
@@Applepro7 what good chair can I buy on Amazon cheap
@@xboxgamerz22 I don’t know dont cheap out on a chair
@@Applepro7 that happened to me as well, had dxracer king series for 3 years, the last year i developed back pain. Then bought the new secret lab titan evo and no longer have back issues, sometimes the smallest details causes big difference.
Great video , I'm so boring to discuss with people who think low price office chair better than top tier gaming chair
I can say I got a 100 gtracing gaming chair and it has up and down adjustable armrest and full recline and it wasn’t very hard to assemble but and I mean but the fake leather started ripping within a little under 2 years
I’ve been using a gaming chair for work and gaming and I love it 👍
great video, love the chapters and so much content. im looking for a gaming chair rn and this has been so helpful. my only gripe is the volume is lower then other videos on youtube and i had to crank my computer volume which is a little annoying and id really love to see the volume be normalized to whatever is normal on youtube. i dont wanna watch this video and forget my volume is cranked and kill my ears lol
Very well explained! thanks for this post.
Same with the Titan :/
Man, your cat is a Savage! 😂 Great review video tho! I’ll give it a 5/5.
I've ordered a secretlab titan 2020 softweave yesterday because the discomfort and sometimes pain is driving me insane.
what do you think about the secretlab chair ? :)
Right tool for the right job mentality. I like it.
Great video! You’re always coming up with smart video ideas, keep it up!
I have a white and black s racer no complaints
Congratulations on being the first person to attempt to convince me that corporations are not evil and that it’s just biased to think negatively about them
Thank you for the amazing breakdown
On another note, the closer it is designed or mirrored between a cross of a automotive seat and a Lazy Boy, the better it is. I noticed on the $400 and up, the upholstery is secured by hog rings, just like a real car seat. You get what you pay for.
Thanks dude, great video! Broad shoulders here, the aggressive racing style doesn't really fit my physique and the level of comfort I want from a chair, thanks for the info
Just ordered the Secret Labs new 2022 Titan Evo, should be here Friday. Best part is .....it cost $0, got it with my cc rewards.
Your cat Has to be using that secret lab chair as a toy
Very detailed and well made video! Thanks!
office chairs always gave me issues and body hurt sitting long hours. Gaming chair, and long hours sitting and pain is barely there. Worth the money to get a good gaming chair.
I just got a gaming chair mostly for the fact that you could just relax in it and recline etc.
Drunk gaming . The secret lab chair does the trick damn thing is a bed when blasted. Wake up and realize I passed out kid game half the time 😂😂
just saw this after dropping 200 on a chair and i feel much better about my decision to go cheap in the beginning and really save up for the chair i want long term
Thanks. Straight and to the point.
Very useful thanks. Spend more to get more. Make sense! Thanks, from a heavy old time gamer!
Brilliant! Comprehensive but concise. Thoughts on Anda Seat and GTracing?
The Wine Red Dowinx or white gold looks amazing man for only 240esh it's amazing rs
Any gaming chair is better than the one i was using/an office chair i found in the dump which gave me chronic back pain.
