I think this is Patsy's second attempt to eat something since the early 70s, she had tried to eat a chip when her sister came to Eddy's house 😆😆🤣🤣🤣 since only liquid meals for Patsy 😆
I loved the way that Patsy was a character that for most of the time was selfish, shallow, callow and someone contemptible...but now and then, was revealed as a rather tragic and sad person that we could feel very sorry for. Her personality was just for show - like here. She pretends she doesn;t understand Christmas and doesn't want to eat anything but she realised that she's at a table where everyone is enjoying themselves and the company...except her. She's in a room full of people, and yet all alone. The "Mrs M...just a little for me...please" is very sad.
I still remember that one bit where it shows her after she's briefly gone clean, she's incredibly happy and full of energy... and Eddie instantly reintroduces her to booze and drugs :P
OMW!! This woman totally does me in!! She's so OTT that you want to be her when you grow up - no matter how old you are!! I just loved the "giving of the gifts"!! A friend with weed, is a friend indeed!!
French Classes from LogicLanguageLearning I enjoyed his fascination with electrical and heating systems, as I’m fascinated with the former, myself. But Saffron’s husband was obviously white in the future scene of “The End” episode, as both her children were as white as she. And the son was the elder child. The husband in these episodes did come off as gratuitous “diversity” pandering, being black. And it was a continuity error, too. The same way they made Serge gay and even Marshall “questioning” and eventually having a sex change. I enjoyed the reboot episodes, but the first three seasons were by far the best
The "mrs M...just a little...for me please" refers as much to the enjoyment and company everyone else has as much as it does to the food. Underneath her tough personality, there's a rather tragic and very lonely person. She has to pretend to everyone, including herself, that she neither needs nor wants the sort of family bonds that even Eddy has with Mrs M and Saffy. But here she's in a roomful of people enjoying the food, the company of each other, and Christmas yet Patsy is essentially left out in the cold. Patsy has nothing in her life except the false glitter and glamour, no wonder she fills the void with drugs and booze. For all that it is a comedy, the show is superbly written if you want to take the time to look beyond the laughs.
"A Class Act" a comedy drama is good, her character is a self obsessed suddenly poor socialite almost accidentally solving crimes. "Sensitive Skin" is an extraordinary performance where her silences say more than pages if dialogue could. She plays a woman if a certain age re-evaluating her life and her relationship to her husband. It's slow, thoughtful and haunting. She had a small role in "Jam and Jerusalem" as a delapidated member of a towns women's guild who travels around on a tricycle that's permanently in the wrong gear.
I swear this is the best show that has ever been made.
Even after years the episodes don't degrade.
to what?
Just like I Love Lucy!! ❤️
@Betty Pickle,
Absolutely brilliant. Those were the times.
You know they had to do a close-up of Patsy while chewing, because the entire table must have been laughing off camera! Great show!
Think that they had to reshoot the scene several times because nobody could stop cracking up.
Patsy is an amazing character and Joanna Lumley plays her so well.
She fought the instinct to snort it.

Yeah the New Year’s Eve episode from the 90s.
Pats is always a classic 😆
Patsy hasn’t eaten since 1974!!!
LMAO "Well There was that crisp..."
She ate 1 potato chip in the 90s
Except for that “crisp” at Christmas
@@Alusnovalotus New years
She.... Is feeling a little PECKISH!

It's just a showlol
@@joycemansfield1108 but it's well written pathos!
100% accurate
@@joycemansfield1108 it's pretty compelling, watching as someone who's struggled with disordered eating
I still remember that one bit where it shows her after she's briefly gone clean, she's incredibly happy and full of energy... and Eddie instantly reintroduces her to booze and drugs :P
Patsy is my spirit animal!
A friend with weed is a friend indeed. Happy holidays!
Brian OSullivan there are two things genuine friends and all round good dude’s say
“ I have weed”
And
“Relax, the pizza dude is coming”
AGREED! LOL!!!!!
Cheers, sweetie, thanks a lot...🎄
Hahahaha
It’s the way Eddie takes patsy’s plate and then passes it down the table that makes me howl.

I'll never understand how she manages not to burst out laughing. 😂❤ Great actress, love her.
Oh Patsy... You should have had a sprout too! 😂
Crazy part about this is no one sees Staff's face and Eddy's looking at her like "Do you really want to try this again?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love Eddy's face but it was a mistake not to show Saffy's reaction.
joanna lumley is so damn brilliant
And so beautiful, even now in 2022.
I still remember her as Purdey!
I loved this show and watched every episode when it appeared on BBC-America and PBS, and this has to be one of my favorite scenes.
Imagine Patsy in New York bumping into Karen Walker.... 😏🤩🤩
Epic!
The world would explode
The look everyone gives when Patsy asks for turkey kills me every single time
I miss them so much 😢
Unless you're actually a party animal Patsy and Edina would be awful to know personally.. funny as hell from a distance on TV!
It was inevitable, Kate Moss is turning into Patsy Stone.
I love British TV.
I just wished they bring this shie back out! This was sooooo funny! Miss em. Patsy and edina were the best especially together.
Absolutely love this show still.
I miss this show!!!
Joanna Lumley is a goddamn national treasure.
If I want a good laugh .. I check out these Ab Fab segments!!! thanks for posting
Patsy Stone eating solid food is the funniest thing ever.
Patsy is the best.
i love her.
Does anyone remember when Eddy & Pasty were sitting at the bar drinking and she recycled her own wine thru her colonoscopy bag?
Nooooo. I wanna see that. Lol
OMG Yess that was so gross and hilarious!!
That is one of the best scenes on this show. It's so absolutely grotesque and mad, I love it.
O, I missed that one! I would have DIED!
Ass teeth????? Great idea for stuffing the bird!
It looks just like princess Anne 👑👸😂
🧼
I love this show, look it over and over!! ❤❤❤😂😂😂
Mike became a priest after graduating from University.
Brilliant comedy!
Talented actors. Loved this show :)
Those faces!!
Bloody brilliant
I dunno. She seemed pretty handy with her utensils.
Love them ❤️
I love them! Twisted Banger Sisters
I recognised a M&S turkey slice on her plate 😂
0:58 best moment lol
WAAAAAA 😮 patsy eating 😮
😊
Christmas food things
Omg bahahahaaaaa
the African son in law was the least amusing character in history
I don't mean in a WOKE race way. I just mean he was shit haha

The late, great Felix Dexter.
I want Christmas cracker hats!
LMFGAO!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha LOL💜😘😚🤗☀️💜
This is me and my mom now.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The thing is ..
Christopher Ryan!!! :)
she sure is funny
Patsy and Eddie, two-person cult?
I wonder what that was June Whitfield put on the plate, because Joanna Lumley is a vegetarian in real life.
Probably a quorn meat free turkey slice
Hey joints are good 🎁 presents
Recently looking for this comedy. What is it about Patsy eating ?
To bad it's not on britbox Canada
😂😂😂❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kirk Matunis from Highlander
Actually the line is...
Uni-bloody- versity
i'd prefer Baha California.
She is still stuffing for air.

Ok loved this show but I never understood why pats couldn't eat
It's not that she couldn't eat - it's she didn't eat, being fueled by narcotics and booze instead.
@@Rivkid76 but the two times I saw her eat she likes chokes I thought maybe I missed that tidbit of info LOL thanks
She hasn’t eaten since 1974!!!! 😂
Stomach bypass...
She always said she was having "liquid lunch" which was always a glass of something.. she hardly ever ate solid foods lmao
I love about fab
Saffy's husband was such an unfunny character.
I just wish that she'd have played more than Patsy, I honestly don't believe that her acting skills are purely restricted to Patsy.
You need to watch _Sapphire and Steel_ and _The New Avengers_ :)
She has been in many programmes and even some films
She was in an episode of Are You Being Served? And also she played a character in the film Shirley Valentine.

She was even once considered to be becoming first female Doctor Who
Is this a parody of Amber and Johnny's xmas' I wonder?
