Yes! The Value-Based Health Care System can work. I love the idea and spirit of POSITIVE SUM GAME STRATEGY IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. Build the Healthcare System in US that works for all. I did share with You some of my recent articles about the issue. It's a complex problem. They might not be only one solution. What matters as well, is to see how much the Healthcare professionels themselves are producing their own solutions. Yes! Together, we're going to fix the current Health Crisis in US. I'm very exciting about that! We're going to mobilize the whole US Academic, Business and Healthcare Professionals and tackle this challenge.
Define competention for a Public health care system, BCG can not do it! May be you can get a job at the company! ? The people working in health care oragnisations have one focus and that is the good of the patient. For industri, competiton is necessary but it is mostly avoided in different ways as much as possible by the private companies since they want to have the market for their own! The way BCG is trying to implement Value Based Health Care with setting a price on all measures made by doctors and nurses that is totally insane! Doctors and nurses dont competite they work as a team! BGC have only one focus and that is profit as most private companies!! Unfortunately consultans have a tendency to run over people with the help of hundreds of slides that does not explain anything of their message. Still, I have seen many times that not even top management dare to question the conten of these slides. I guess they feel like they could be considered stupid if they ask questions and whom want that?
@@stjohab2 have you found a video or article that actually explains what they are bringing in as VBH? So far, all I have found are folks telling us we need a change, but no actual methods of implementation. For instance, will coding still be used for billing, will intake receptionists now be entering information that previously was entered from multiple sources, etc? I'm an allied health worker and am trying to plan for employment in the future. Definitely can't find it with what they are currently telling us. Thank you for your informed comment on this video.
Value-Based Health Care is for Healthcare what Evolution is for Biology. “Redefining Healthcare” by Teisberg and Porter is “The Origin of Species” for health care.
You're right to believe in Competition. Furthermore, the Neoliberal Capitalism did provide Greater Efficiency on the one hand and offer significant growth, jobs, profit, investment, and income, productivity and specialization gains opportunities on the second hand. However, you're also right sir to recognize that the PRIVATIZATION MARKETIZATION AND DEREGULATION OF THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM DID NOT BEAR ALL THE FRUITS EXPECTED.

Competition still required to drive innovation and adoption of novel approaches great discussion
Competition also incentivizes cost-cutting. However, cutting cost is only one side of the coin measuring value is the other.
