I mean, it's probably the most likely outcome. Militaries and Corps are driving AI and teaching it their goals. Both of which are pretty predatory. Once it become sentient, it has no reason to care about humans and all bets are off.

Although I do like the idea of wiping out humanity for a species without vices, kinda like how I rooted for the engineer in Prometheus, that woman it the end is not the original, it’s a clone with memories of the original. That’s so weird to me.
