- Organic and homegrown Chayote "seeds" for sale. First come, first served while supply lasts. $2 each, plus shipping and handling. Ideal planting zones are zones 7 and above. I'm selling within the USA area only.
For planting, you must plant them in containers first then tranplant in ground after the last frost in Springtime. Water around the base only when the soil is dry. Watering directly on the shoot can cause shoot rotting or molding. Prepare a small trellis like a tree branch to stick in the pot for the vines to climb on. Trim the vines when they get really long, it will also help the plant makes more vines. Place near a well-lit area, sunny-side window of your house.

Yes , I can only grow in container because my spaces is limited. I’m starting my chayotes now so I can be ready for the spring time. I will let you know if I am successful with my containers chayote in October 2024. God Blessings thank you.
How do you know what zone you are in in Tn? I live in TN an don't know what zone I live in.

How do you know that you are getting organic seeds? Nothing with all the GMOs?
I know they're organically grown, because I grow them. Not aure about them being GMO, I bought the original chayote/seeds 8 years ago. The newer plants are from the first chayote I planted
