@@deepika867 No, not at all. PGT only includes core English literature syllabus and English grammar. You only have to prepare the authors mentioned in PGT syllabus and language portion.

Sir, I recently came across your channel and found it thoroughly useful. I have also filled form for UP PGT English this year. Kindly tell me what are my chances as I have completed MA in English literature but I don't have a B.ed degree and I fear this would adversely affect my chances.

Hi Himadri! B.Ed. is not a mandatory qualification for UP PGT. It's an added qualification and I suppose those who have a B.Ed. degree will get additional 5 marks, that's it. However, it won't affect your chances of getting selected if your preparation is up to the mark. Even I don't have B.Ed. I believe that consistency in preparation matters the most. So, I would like to give you a piece of advice that focus on your preparation earnestly because no one knows about the result. Your handwork and perseverance will help to overcome the obstacles in life. Believe in karma not in fruit of action.
