LOVEBITES - Stand And Deliver lyrics & credits: Bet the time you got in this game ! Bet the time you got in this game ! You ready ? You ready ? Let the night go deeper than now ! Let the night go deeper than now ! You see ? You see ?
Scream until you break and rip out your heart Forget about everything that is just in your way Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down
This is it, take all in your hand This is it, take all in your hand You ready ? You ready ? This, for me, is never enough This, for me, is never enough You see ? You see ?
Feel the shade that lays deep down in your soul Already know the craziness hiding under that face
Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down Stand and deliver 'cause nothing's satisfying Stand and deliver and shoot'em down We will bring something new to this world Speeding it up and we won't end
Bet the time you got in this game ! Bet the time you got in this game ! You ready ? You ready ? Let the night go deeper than now ! Let the night go deeper than now ! You see ? You see ?
Scream until you break and rip out your heart Forget about everything that is just in your way

And you ain't seen NOTHING yet ! A a geriatric who's being listening to bands for over 50 years I can honestly say that Lovebites are one of the best bands I've ever heard and IMHO the best Metal band in the world today - bar none . Hopefully you'll take some time to do a deep dive into their music - it's worth it and the Wolfpack will , I'm sure , keep you on the right path with suggestions etc . As you listen to more of their stuff their musicianship and talents will blow you away - if they don't then you're not paying attention 🤣 . Just subscribed so I'm not sure yet what you guys have done - but if you'll take some advice from an old geezer - stick with JAPAN - so many superb bands and so much musical talent ENJOY !
Thanks for the sub Alastair; that’s awesome of you! Couldn’t agree more with you, this band is certainly up there with some of the most talent and versatility in what they bring, absolutely! We were blown away by how unique their sound really was! We’ve got a ton of suggestions so far and we will try our absolute best to get to them all 🤞🏻
You've discovered the Metal Queens. If you want to get blown away on what they can do live - Soldier Stands Solitarily Official Live Video from "Memorial For The Warrior Souls"
The big inspiration of LOVEBITES is a British Band IRON MAIDEN last weekend all went to the IRON MAIDEN show in TOKYO. You discovered the Queens of METAL . A lots of people said about ASAMI the singer ,she the female BRUCE DICKINSON.
@@IanBreton35 'The Future Past Tour' IRON MAIDEN (2024). Сoncerts in Japan: September 22, 2024 - 'Sky Hall Toyota' (Toyota, Aichi Prefecture). Miho attended two IRON MAIDEN concerts: September 26, at 'Tokyo Garden Theater' (Tokyo) September 28, at 'Pie Arena MM' (Yokohama City). After the concert, Miho and Akira Takasaki from LOUDNESS met Steve Harris and talked to him. Miho has known Steve well for about 6 years. September 25, 2024 Miho also attended the concert of BRITISH LION (Steve Harris' band) in Tokyo. Haruna, Midori, Asami, Miyako and Fami were also at the concert at 'Pie Arena MM' (Yokohama City), but on September 29th.
Lovebites is one of the best metal bands of all time (male or female). Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own and unique style. My next recommendations are “The hammer of wrath”, “Judgement day”, “Set the world on fire”, “MDO”, “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “Shadowmaker” (all live)
Great recommendations Martin! We’ll give them a try! We can definitely see they’ve taken inspiration from bands of the past which were some of the greatest bands of all time so they’re in the right road!
Welcome to the realm of the Wolfpack (Lovebites fans from around the world) ! These amazing ladies play a seamless and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads which makes their sound unique and contemporary. Note that this band is phenomenal LIVE ! For an awesome high-speed track that showcases these ladies' capabilities, check out "Soldier Stands Solitarily" LIVE : ruclips.net/video/30yWisiRBuM/видео.html . Enjoy your Lovebites journey !
It’s a great place to be! We felt every blend of their capabilities and what talent they bring to the table! Very unique as you say and can only imagine what they sound like live! Thanks for the comment and suggestion! We’ll make sure to have a look at it!
Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. They take their name 'Lovebites' from a song by Halestorm 'Love Bites (so do I)' In 2019 vocalist Asami joined Lizzy Hale and her band to sing it together when both bands were playing at a festival. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) This video is from shortly after Fami joined the band, and I think it's a way to introduce her and help her feel comfortable playing with the other members who had been playing together for several years at this point and are all about 10 years older. She seems to have settled in very well and during the European and UK tour they did last summer she seemed to be having a wonderful time. Last weekend they all went together to see Iron Maiden play in Japan ( as also did former bass and founder member Miho) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. If you enjoyed this song, here are a few recommendations for further listening Break The Wall, Soldier Stand Solitary, Golden Destination (there is a video that has footage from their 2019 tour of the UK with Dragon Force, including Herman Li as the 'missing sixth member of Lovebites' wearing a white dress) Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O., Holy War Scream For Me (live from 'Daughters of the Dawn' "OK Haruna, Give me the beat") For a masterclass in syncronised guitar shredding. Winds of Transylvania (written for a Japanese Anime series VLADLOVE) Frozen Serenade, Swan Song, with the Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Edge of the World, Epilogue. There are many more I could suggest, but this should give you an idea of their range. The Wolfpack will have more suggestions. I would suggest watching live performances wherever possible. The ladies really shine on stage. I saw Lovebites live in London twice during their recently concluded European tour. I have been a fan of Rock and Metal music right from the beginning seeing bands bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden when they were 'new', Lovebites are amongst the best I have ever seen in over 60 years 🤘🐺
Thanks so much for the breakdown of the band!! Interesting to hear about the transition between Miho and Fami, really glad they’ve settled in to the group well. It’s great to hear that there such a strong chemistry between the members that makes the band what they are. This song really blew us away, and we’re excited to check out more of their material so look forward to some more reaction videos for them! We’re going to keep our eyes peeled for another UK tour, as I think we have to go now! Thanks again for checking out this video, and for your recommendations 🙏🏻 👏🏻
@@GLHFOfficialUK If you get the chance to see them play, do go, you will not be disappointed. It would be great if they did a tour with another band as in 2019 when they toured with Dragon Force so that they can play larger venues than this year. There are some clips on YT with both bands on stage together including one from Newcastle when they did a metal version of the Celine Dion song 'My Heart Will Go On' with Herman Li in a white dress as 'the missing sixth member of Lovebites'.
Great reaction ! I'm glad you discover the Lovebites; they will surprise you yet! Let me suggest you some songs I'm sure you enjoy: "Soldier stands solitarily" (LIVE 2023), maybe the greatest liveperformance of the band "Break the wall" (LIVE 2020), the most brutal thrash/speed metal song of the band "Judgement day" OMV 2023, title-track of the latest album, epic power metal with insane guitar solos "Set the world on fire"" (LIVE 2021) pure thrash metal with great guitar solos "THe hammer of wrath"" (LIVE 2023), epic singing with drums in great evidence "Holy war" (LIVE 2020), their most known song on the net, classic and perfect performance "Shadowmaker" OMV 2017, the first great success of the band, with wonderful guitar solos "We are the resurrection" (LIVE 2023, released a few weeks ago on their channel), memorable epic and fast power metal "Soul defender" OMV 2024, the latest song published a few days ago. "Frozen serenade" (LIVE 2021), emotional power ballad that shows the multi-instrumental skills of the band. "Edge of the world" (LIVE 2023), another superb ballad with an intense guitar solo by Miyako "Unchained" OMV 2024, one of the latest release of the band "Scream for me" (LIVE 2019) 14 guitar solos!!! "When destinies allign" OMV 2020, with crazy guitar solos and double guitar solo "The crusade" OMV 2017, a tribute to Iron Maiden These are just examples to begin, the Lovebites discography containes about 60 songs, and there isn't a bad song. The Lovebites formed in 2016 and have published 4 LP and 3 EP. The members you have seen are: ASAMI, singer, composer and Lyrics maker, called "The one and unique voice" HARUNA, drummer and founder of the group, an authentic drum-machine, called "little big engine" MIDORI, guitarist (the blonde) and composer, called "crazy shredder" MIYAKO, guitarist (the dark haired), pianist, main composer, the genius of the group, called "golden touch" FAMI, bass player, the youngest and very talented, called "shining fingers" Fami joined the band in 2022, after the former bassist MIHO (great bass player she also) left the band for personal reasons. I hope my informations are useful for you, and good trip in the amazing Lovebites' world
Wow thank you so much for the breakdown of the band! We were blown away by this song and can’t wait to check out some more 🙌🏻 It really seems like each member is an integral part to the bands overall sound and we LOVE it! 👏🏻 We’ll be sure to get another reaction up for them soon!
LOVEBITES They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans. They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM, heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal, hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique. 🐺🤘LOVEBITES 🤘🐺 the team of five thrashpower metal goddesses from Japan_Tokyo. You’ve just discovered one of the most talented metal bands in the world that most people have never heard of. I saw them in London in July and they then went on to appear at Hellfest along with Metallica. Set The World On Fire and Holy War are established classics along with the very thrashy ‘Hammer of Wrath. ‘Edge of the World’ is beautiful.
@@GLHFOfficialUK Lovebites breaks the mold of what a heavy metal band should look like - they dress in white instead of black and do not have any tattoos.
Lovebites history : Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in 2018 - Wacken Open Air in Germany 2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England 2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium 2019 - Download Festival in Spain. 2019 - Download Festival in UK. 2019 - Summer Sonic 2019 Festival in Japan In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Formed in 2016 by drummer Haruna and original bassist Miho after their former band Destrose broke up. Named after the Grammy winning song "Love Bites (So Do I) by Halestorm, lead singer Asami has joined Lzzy and the boys , at Download 2019, to perform that song. Miyako and Midori (blond pony tail) are IMO 2 of the best guitarists today. New bassist Fami is seen here, Miho left in 2021, Fami won the auditions and joined in Oct 2022. Some songs lean towards thrash, and some towards power metal, plus some ballads. This song is the 2nd single from their 4th album, Judgement Day, released early 2023, first album recorded with Fami. The bass parts were written before she joined, but she brought her style and energy. This song, and the title track first single, start with a bass intro, a 'here's our new bassist, this is what she can do' kind of intros. 4 albums, and now 4 EP's to date. Their music videos are great, especially this one as you get to see them in regular clothes and just having fun. But their live videos awesome, they dress like princesses and melt your face at the same time. Any of the already suggested songs would be great to check out.
@@GLHFOfficialUK Just a quick heads up. As reactors, some negative comments/feedback is par for the course. However, there's a notorious troll known to the community who goes around reaction channels specifically to look out for negative/controversial comments directed at the reactors or fans. He then pours fuel to the fire by posting a comment from one of his many YT accounts. In addition, he uses his many accounts to "upvote/like" his own comments as well as the original negative comments in order to create the illusion that the negative comments are "supported by a lot of other fans". This troll's insidious motive is to discourage reactors from reacting to certain bands like Lovebites. So don't be deceived by this one individual. I will not point out who that troll is who is in here, but I will point out who he is not. Note that GrayFox14 is NOT the troll and he is a genuine fan. Having said that, it's his original comment that the troll is exploiting by pouring fuel on it with his own post (the troll posted a new comment in here, not a reply).
@@GLHFOfficialUK Let’s go through the key theses made by this individual: 1. User GrayFox14 is a genuine fan. It’s important to emphasize this. 2. Hooligan behavior and attacks on reactors are considered normal in the Wolfpack community. 3. Some imaginary troll is to blame for everything, but not the cultists themselves. What do you think of this logic?
MetalRomance-e1v Well, if we think logically, it turns out that your community is well aware of some troll who is on the lookout for negative comments, simply because there are too many negative comments coming from you. Otherwise, he wouldn't be so well known to you.
@@MetalRomance-e1v That’s good to know; thank you! It seems we’ve had quite the stir on this video and can see some negativity has found its way here which is very unfortunate. We appreciate GrayFox is a genuine fan and has passion and a love of this band, which we also love. We won’t be deterred from making other videos on LOVEBITES as we genuinely enjoy their music. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know.

Nice reaction. Fantastic band. When they play live, they usually wear beautiful white dresses. If you want to see them in armour, check out the music video for When Destinies Align, and they wear black cloaks in the video for Judgement Day.
This may be the beginning of a long-lasting friendship. The reason: This band has been on the Metal pitch since 2016 and have between then and now created an uninterrupted string of flawless diamonds, one song more scintillating than the other. Lovebites is not just another band - for lovers of metal they are a way of life.
Absolutely agree and it will be, for sure! They’re flawless in what they do and can only imagine what their other songs bring to the metal world! Excited to check more out!
LOVEBITES are eltie musicians, comfortably in the top three metal bands on the planet in terms of musicianship (alongside Dream Theater and Symphony-X). It is criminal that they aren't better known. If they were playing this music in the 1980s, they would be as big as Metallica. They simply don't have a bad song in their catalogue, and have several songs that are legitimate masterpieces. They play a wide range of metal, all heavily inspired by the classic metal of the 1980s and early 1990s. Personally, I love it when they play thrash - and here is my favourite thrash song from them. "Break the Wall" (live) ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html As you will repeatedly hear in the comments, you need to see these women playing live to really appreciate the level of talent they possess.
@@VeljkoNikolic-is5px My comment clearly referred to the level of musicianship in the bands, not the specific sub-genre of metal they play. I don't understand how you could have possibly misunderstood.
I do not understand what you mean under musicianship. That two bands I hear of but never listened to them, they mean nothing to me. But LOVEBITES are comparable to me in HEAVY METAL. I only talk about that stile of music.
"Everyone here today knows that our songs are only complete when we play them live, right?" . These were the words of vocalist Asami to the audience on the first day of the revival concert, before playing this song. Stand and Deliver" is a song they wrote with the idea that once the restrictions imposed by COVID were relaxed, they would invite the audience to join in and enjoy the song together. If possible, please check out how this song will be completed in the actual live performance. LOVEBITES / Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'em Down) [Live Video from Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II] ruclips.net/video/cNi-OEjzMdA/видео.html
Welcome to LOVEBITES, my favorite band. This MV was also my first exposure to the band. this is just the tip of the iceberg, enjoy their other 60 masterpieces of metal!🤘🐺🤘
congratulations, you have just discovered the best band on the planet ! 😀 metal + grace + elegance + beauty + sympathy + great musicians + great songs = LOVEBITES !!!
Too many of their songs are my favourites to list. Here's a couple of "gentle" live ones for you to explore - Holy War ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html Set the World on Fire ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html
It is a strange video to start. This is more rock'n'roll that what they usually do, that's heavy metal. Also, they went with casual clothes instead of wearing their usual uniforms, that are more inspired in greek goddesses or brides vests. Hammer of Wrath or Holy War is usually what people use to get introduced to them, both great songs. This one too, don't take me wrong.
If lovebites say stand, you stand, and they deliver, I saw them in July in London, and they are one of the best bands you'll ever see live Asami The One And Only Voice is second to none both vocally and in stage presence Fami Shining Fingers is a prodigy on the Bass Haruna The Little Big Engine is the No.1 drummer out there today, simply awesome Midori The Crazy Shredder (blonde guitarist) is a speed demon shredder and along with ;,, Miyako The Golden Touch make up the best twin guitarists in the world today. Enjoy your journey and be ready to fall in to the wolves den 🤘🥁🎤🎸🎹🐺🇬🇧
Easily my favorite band ever, They are the ultimate test of the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" If you google images of this band, you may not believe that they are one of the most amazing metal bands today, But they are not here to be cute, they are here to be heavy, That is what they told us in a 2018 interview, And to for me, they have far surpassed all my expectations by many miles. They have composed 60+ incredible songs that vary in style and speed, but not in quality. Every song is an absolute amazing journey of a band that set out to change the world by reinvigorating metal heads around the world to the tunes of the greats. So many comparisons have been made, depending on who you ask or what song you are listening to, you will definitely hear stuff like, Maiden, Priest, Metallica, slayer, Megadeth, Angra and many more classical Metal influences in their music. But one thing is for sure, they have their own sound, and it is the Lovebites sound that makes them the best.
Thanks for comment Rich! They really do have their own sound, and because we hadn’t heard of them before, it took us by surprise (a very nice surprise 😂). They’re an epic band, heavy, and clearly setting the bar for other metal bands out there for damn sure! Great influence in the metal world! We’re excited to get more videos out from them!
Welcome to Lovebites. As good as this was, wait until you see them perform live. They are even more amazing when you see them do this on the stage in their white outfits. You probably didn't realize this but they all switched instruments and roles in the middle of the video, having fun and goofing off. When they perform this song live they get the audience to sing along to it. Also, get ready for lengthy guitar solos with Lovebites because Midori and Miyako are among the best. Next song - Set the World on Fire, live.
We’d love to see Lovebites live, I bet they put on an incredible show! How many other bands can say they can just switch instruments, not many! It just shows their pure talent! We can check out a live one for Set The World On Fire! Keep your eye out Chad!
@@GLHFOfficialUK The switching of instruments was a goofing off thing. Haruna, the drummer, went to guitar, but she doesn't know how to play guitar, and Asami also does not know how to play a guitar. They were just having fun. Miyako, the guitarist, switched to the drums which she actually has some basic skill with. Miyako is a multi-instrumentalist, having played piano since the age of 3, and also plays enough bass to write the bass lines to the demos she creates for the band.
Well done lads, greetings from Scotland, you have just experienced the most talented metal band around today, every one of them a virtuoso. I recently saw them at the Garage, Islington, London on the 1st of July, the capacity was only 600 people and I was at the front near Miyako(black hair). Despite being in very close proximity to the fans they were humble and friendly, interacting and joking with the crowd, their performance was absolutely fantastic. If you can manage it, amongst all the requests you will have, get your heads round one of their power metal showstoppers🤘> LOVEBITES / Rising [Official Live Video from "Memorial For The Warrior Souls"] > link if it helps > ruclips.net/video/EHcu-zES3-k/видео.html
We do love a good showstopper Saul! Thanks for the comment! They really are, they work in tandem so well. That’s amazing to hear that they’re clearly a humble and friendly band aswell, they seem it from what we’ve seen so far. In such a small venue aswell, I can only imagine the atmosphere would have been impeccable! We do have a lot of requests but we’ll be sure to check out as many as we possibly can, no doubt! Thanks again man! 🤘🏻
HI Saul, you must have been very near to me at the Garage. I was over that side too about 3rd row back in front of the speaker stack. I agree with what you say, they seem a lovely friendly bunch of people who really appreciate and care about their fans, I got a wave from Asami at one point 🤗 I was also at the New Cross Inn gig just over 2 weeks earlier and did the 'meet and greet' after the show. I had so many things I wanted to say to them about their music, but in the event I was reduced to a speechless idiot 🤣
@@tonym480 hahaha I must have been literally standing next to you. I just missed out on New Cross as it sold out before I could get a ticket. I'd seen them before at The Roadmenders in Northampton Nov 2019, my brother lives there and he had got tickets for Dragonforce who they were supporting, they blew me away and I've followed them ever since, I'm 72 years of age mate and seen some of the best in my time, these Metal Princesses are exceptional🤘
Well you do jokes with the name but you are now at the Lovebite's realm entrance , I think you can try but probably you are not ready, good luck. The Wolfpack is here!! 🤘🏻🐺
Part 1 (the list is too long to fit in one comment): Japan has had an active all-girl rock and metal scene since at least 1981. This is a starter list of all-female (or in eight cases, mixed gender) metal, punk, hard-rock and post-rock bands, with founding dates where I know them. It's alphabetical, except for the first three, which are at the top of the list for historical reasons. They set the table for the explosion of Japanese female hard-rock, punk and metal bands. Note: I have tried to pick clips that are high quality and are representative of the band's style. If you put the question out there, you are likely to get suggestions mainly for Aldious, Band-Maid, Babymetal, Lovebites, Nemophila, Unlucky Morpheus and Wagakki Band. (If you area long-time listener or reviewer you have undoubtedly heard many of these). You can’t go wrong with any of them, but find time to check out more of the bands on this list. They are all worth the time and deserve the love, and many will really surprise you. My personal favorites include Asterism, Bridear, Doll$Boxx/Gacharic Spin, existTtrace, Hagane, Hanabie, Mary’s Blood, Sokoninaru and Tricot. Ok, the list: Show-Ya (1981) The original female J-metal band, founded before Metallica-this is from their 24th (!) anniversary concert-and they are still touring. They have a strong Deep Purple vibe, and in my view they belong in any rock or music hall of fame. “I am the Storm” ruclips.net/video/oJ_5Gv3vFjQ/видео.html Shonen Knife (1981) The world’s first bubblegum punk band. They have done several world tours, and opened for Nirvana, who were big fans. They also perform as a Ramones tribute band called Osaka Ramones. ruclips.net/video/w9LUlYzOiWs/видео.html Destrose (2005) This band was never stable, but has become almost mythic in metal history, because they spun off so many great bands, including Lovebites--you will recognize the drummer and bassist. Here are two clips-a lot of them get taken down so please let me know if either of these is dead: ruclips.net/video/JpyzVlPJC2g/видео.html ruclips.net/video/e-CH-FLS2kM/видео.html (This cuts off just after Narumi’s guitar solo-but they didn’t cut that, and it’s gorgeous.) Aldious (2008) Glamorous and kick-ass rockers. One of the first generation all-girl metal bands, along with Destrose. ruclips.net/video/sfkJT0rra-8/видео.html Asterism (2013) Power trio that will melt your face off. Guitarist Haruka Noma is off the charts talented and just turned 21. ruclips.net/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/видео.html Babymetal (2010) The flagship “Kawaii metal” band and the most well-known Japanese metal act outside of Japan. Combining “Kawaii” (cute) Japanese pop tropes over thunderous heavy metal backing from Kami Band. ruclips.net/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/видео.html Band-Maid (2013) OK, there are 160+ great songs by them. Easily the best known band on this list other than Babymetal, they are more hard rock and prog than metal. Did a 14 city US tour in 2022 that sold out 48 hours after being listed, and a 2023 global 10th anniversary tour. There is a ton of fan footage of that tour up on youtube, a lot of which is great stuff. Here is a live clip: ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html Bridear (2011) Heavy, technical, and their tiny bassist also growls. They are releasing a new album in June 2024 that is a real killer. This is from their original lineup: ruclips.net/video/LQIDqudG_DQ/видео.html Broken by the Scream (2016) Deathmetal idol group, mixed gender. Four female vocalists covering everything from guttural growls to cat screams to clean pop vocals, in front of a high-intensity band the plays a mix of thrash and speed metal. Some have likened them to Babymetal on PCP or meth. ruclips.net/video/PAaT4WuD_zI/видео.html Cyntia (2011) Second wave, hard, heavy, but with prog and symphonic touches. ruclips.net/video/FnhObh5i_3U/видео.html D-Drive (2009) Instrumental progressive metal and fusion; Mixed gender. Extraordinary, technical dual lead guitars featuring Yuki and Seiji) Here is a one of my favorites, a gorgeous, moody jazz-blues-prog fusion number: ruclips.net/video/m5G3nXJtSzQ/видео.html Disqualia (2015) Destrose spin-out, featuring Narumi, one of the best guitarists of this generation, and Hazuki, then an up-and-coming talent who is now the lead guitarist of Nemophila. ruclips.net/video/-M5zBKrTJRg/видео.html Doll$Boxx (2012) Wild mix of metal, electropop, and god-knows what else; a collaboration between Fuki, best-known as the co-founder of Unlucky Morpheus, and Gacharic Spin. ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html East of Eden (2023) Supergroup assembled by Ayasa, the fabulous violinist whose day job is with Morphonica, one of the BangDream projects. Guitar: Yuki from D-Drive; Drums: Mizuki from Lonesome Blue; Bass: Wakazaemon, from Marty Friedman’s band; Vocals: Minato Akane, from Predia) “Evolve” ruclips.net/video/gL2GQWhJaNQ/видео.html existTtrace (2003) Best-known female Visual Kei band. Progressive, technical, some death-metal and goth touches) They have kept their original lineup intact for 20 years and counting. ruclips.net/video/Oz1Lv8XGBF0/видео.html Fate Gear (2015) Super-group, one of the Destrose spinouts-continually changing lineup built around Mina (g) and (with occasional detours) Erica (b); I consider this video one of the best on this list: ruclips.net/video/tLQbsoKQN-0/видео.html Gacharic Spin (2009) Founded by two high school classmates, Hana (Dr, Vo, multiple instruments) and Koga (B) who had already been in other bands (and was previously a lingerie model). Everything from punk-pop to heavy metal and progressive; highly technical. Here is their first video, with original singer Armmy (d. 2015): ruclips.net/video/vfzIt20_xXg/видео.html Gallhammer (2003) Black/Death/Doom/Punk; this is from their 2007 UK/Europe tour; co-founder Vivien Slaughter is now making electronic ambient music(!) ruclips.net/video/2fTiyOO1nZE/видео.html Galmet (2006) Straight-up death metal, but in prom dresses. ruclips.net/video/PnvrOLeRt-I/видео.html Ganglion (2010) Metal with a hint of electronica: ruclips.net/video/q9j4t3Ms-Sg/видео.html Hagane (2018) Started with Sakura posting blistering metal guitar covers on youtube while in high-school, and the rest of the girls finding her; full lineup came together in 2019. They broke up in 2023 but have reformed with a new lineup, still built around Sakura, and now featuring the wild and crazy Junna on drums. Here, Sakura does a magical solo using a Phrygian scale at warp speed: ruclips.net/video/k8NTRJ_yTxY/видео.html Hanabie (2019) Kawaii death metal, deathcore, thrash (they jokingly call it “Harajuku-core, after a district in Tokyo famous for exuberant youth culture). Technical. Most frequent comment is “That’s nuts.” One of the bands to watch over the next few years, they played three North American festivals in 2023 and are continuing to tour. ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html Kakumei (2013--see Trident, below) Koiai/Lisa-X Band (2013) Prodigy guitarist Lisa-X and a rotating cast of fellow bandmembers, often including Hazuki (of Disqualia and Nemophila). Lisa-X formed her first band in 2013 at the age of eight. She has done collaborations with a host of top musicians including Polyphia, Saki, Yuki (of D-Drive) and Billy Sheehan. ruclips.net/video/mN_oLqTka6M/видео.html After original vocalist Rina left the band, they rebranded as Koiai. Lonesome Blue (2021) Progressive rock, pop-metal fusion. This was Narumi’s (see below) long-awaited new band; unfortunately, she parted ways with them after only one album. This song is a wild fusion of classic Disco with Metal: ruclips.net/video/aEdyEEnMTy8/видео.html Lovebites (2016) Modern Power, Speed, Thrash and Heavy Metal. Already making a global splash, melodic but brain-meltingly technical. Here is their most famous official MV-it’s even better than Shadowmaker IMO: “When Destinies Align” ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
Actually guys in regard to pronunciation, as it's written LOVEBITES as opposed to Lovebites, the correct pronunciation is actually to shout it. Absolutely F**king amazing band! I saw them in London about 2 months or so back, brilliant show but at a tiny venue. At the start and end everyone one was shouting "LOVEBITES LOVEBITES" which is when I realised my pronunciation error. LOVEBITES LOVEBITES!!!!
Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs. The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames) Asami on vocals (the one and only voice): She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch): She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd Midori on guitars (crazy shredder): Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete Haruna on drums (little big engine): Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers): Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger): We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3
Great reaction 🤟 lovebites go hard , holy wars, hammer of wrath, set the world on fire then they slow it down with swan song and frozen serenade they are brilliantly amazing artist 🤟
If you want to understand the SECRET of the UNIVERSE, LOVEBITES is the CLUE. The Universe is made of only 3 things : ENERGY, VIBRATION, FREQUENCY. Lovebites music compositions are same as the Universe - they are ENERGY VIBRATING at different MELODY HARMONICS of FREQUENCIES....
Once you get to know Lovebites better, who everyone are and what they do, then this very video is fun to look at again. They are doing so much fun stuff in this video that is impossible to know if this is the first time listening to them. I shall not spoil it foryou and tell what. Just look at it again when you know the ladies better.
Welcome to the Wolfpack! You have definitely encountered one of the greatest bands in the world. Every single one of these ladies are supremely talented, and I envy you guys on your discovery because now you get to listen to all their stuff for the first time :-) They do a lot of genres, power, metal thrash, metal even epic ballad, type metal. They even have a couple songs that remind me of 80s metal with a keytar and everything :-) (Spellbound) As we’re on stage, live is where they shine. If you think they’re good in this video wait you hear them live. And they don’t wear exactly armor, they do have battle uniforms that you will see as soon as you start watching. :-) I highly recommend soldier, stand, solitarily, we united, and then if you want to stretch a bit try frozen serenade, and swan song with the Chopin intro
I can imagine! Discovering these for the first time is a hell of a ride! Lovebites have clearly taken inspiration from different genres, especially from the 80s, the power vocals and thrash create an incredible tune, plus can’t be easy to pull off! We’ll check out your suggestions Ani! Thank you!
Lovebites combine thrash, power, speed and heavy metal, with elements of the 80's and details of today. I cannot describe how awesome they are. Check them live. You will be blown away.
no -you guys were right - it IS pronounced love bit-ez. just kidding ! you have to see more from this band to see how truly amazing they are. you can not pigeon hole them as every song is way different. they can do it all
Rock/Metal is not dead yet..It just lives in Japan nowadays..Tens of amazing All Female Bands..Band-Maid, Nemophila, Hagane, Bridear, Gacharic Spin, East Of Eden, Hades, Trident, Fate Gear for starters 🤘🔥❤️
Nice one!! You've discovered the finest power/thrash band on the planet. The talent in this band is unparalleled. The Wolfpack will give you many suggestions. There are no bad songs. Maximum the Hormone just released a new video for Shimi. Will blow you away. Please react if you can.
I think this song is more NWOBM than Thrash. Early 80's metal from the likes of Diamond Head, Iron Maiden and Motörhead...Lovebites are the saviors of Heavy Metal...and they do so much more than this!
Congratulations, you are well on your way to disappearing into the Japanese metal rabbit-hole. There are only 60+ more Lovebites songs to go, and dozens of other incredibly good bands.
@@GLHFOfficialUK I will post them in the main comments. I don't expect you to get to even a small fraction of them, but it will give you a sense of the scene and some suggestions you might not get otherwise.

Others that come to mind are BRATS (cofounded by one of the members of Ladybaby), Drop’s, Stereopony, Scandal (still touring globally), and Princess Princess, which all tend more in the pop direction. On the metal side, there are the Bang-Dream projects, which are live groups based on Manga series (there are 9 bands so far in Bang-Dream). And of course, there are other female-fronted Kawaii-metal groups like Ladybaby and Ironbunny, to name the two best-known after Babymetal. I have found listings of over 600 such bands dating back to 1980. The ones listed above are my picks as the most interesting for reasons of quality, longevity or historical impact. If you find others you think belong on this list, please let me know. And if you find a dead link, also please let me know so I can fix the list. Thank you!
what i find interesting that the LoveBites recommendation came from an Hanabie reaction, out side of Gender and country of origin, these 2 bands have nothing in common, sonically, musically, or stylistically, so IMO very little crossover, so i was curious, and i checked, there was a Hanabie reaction 3 days ago, around 40 comments, almost all of those, revolved around how to say the bands name, no other band recommendations, on the other hand, there was a reaction 8 months ago, 70ish comments, most were how to say the band name again, but it was there you would find band recommendations, and it was typical, LoveBites, Band Maid, and Nemophila.
That’s right! We want to try and reach as many recommendations as we can, no matter if there’s any correlation between the bands genre. We have a range of reaction videos, some recommendations, some newer songs that we’ve decided we wanted to show one another. I also agree, there isn’t much crossover at all. Lovebites and Hanabie. make very different music, but both are incredible in their own rights!
“very little crossover” Probably, but personally I like both bands. For Lovebites it’s a bit more about the instrumental performance, while for Hanabie it’s a bit more about the dynamic songwriting (different parts that fit) with contrasting vocal styles (between the two singers).
The crossover is this. For many who haven't discovered the Japanese metal rabbit hole yet, or only recently discovered it, the relationship is that these are all bands that the reactor has likely not heard yet and that many of us will have discovered in close proximity to each other as well. So if you like introducing reactors to new bands, the same rabbit hole is a really good bet., Then there is the fact that the Japanese metal scene has such a high percentage of women or women fronted metal bands compared to the west (there are lots, but as a percent not as many) Also there is some thematic overlap with many of the Japanese mostly women metal bands / rock bands. It's that the metal they make is much much happier feeling than a lot of the metal out there. There was a RUclipsr who released a video about what the appeal to so many of these Japanese women metal bands is. There were a lot of reasons given, but one of the most consistent is how fun, upbeat and positive the vibe of the bands are. And you do seem to get a really high percent of these bands having a lot of technical skill. Again so do a lot of Western bands. But it seems most of the Japanese bands can just shred like nothing, have members who can play piano brilliantly and so on. And finally, not as much in LOVEBITES case, but for many of the bands they mix genres in a way you get far less of in popular Western metal. All of that said, they often are still very different, different subgenres of metal, different vocal style etc. But there is clear overlap beyond just being Japanese and women. Maybe some of the aspects that overlap are caused in part by being Japanese or women however.
After watching the video I understand why you have so few followers. Talking so much during a song is totally out of the format and it rarely works unless you really have something intelligent to say... and this is not the case. If after 400 videos you don't understand it, you never will.
A bold assumption based on the fact that less than 12 of those are reaction videos and are some of our most successful 😂 if it was 400 reaction videos, I’d agree however, I don’t. Thanks for the boost though 😮💨
Welcome to Japan. They have loved Rock and Metal from the very beginning. Now you have about 50 years of material from Japan to mess with whenever you want to.
Sorry, but this is not a reaction. This is a parody of a reaction! And also a manifestation of disrespect to LOVEBITES and HANABIE. Some of the music went past your ears. You were constantly distracted by conversations among yourselves, laughed and grimaced instead of carefully watching and listening to an unfamiliar band performing an unfamiliar song. If you are incapable of taking serious music seriously, then maybe you should do reactions to comedy films ?!?! Then your laughter and grimacing will be more appropriate. If the song 'Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)' is power metal for you, then MOTöRHEAD is a power metal band. Poor Lemmy, he thought all his life that he played heavy metal. P.S. Maybe this will be funny to you too, but in 2018 LOVEBITES were voted 'Best New Band' among metal bands (in the world). And received an Award in London - the Golden Gods from Metal Hammer. Nothing personal.
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy our format of reaction between each other, but that’s how we do our music reactions, if it’s not for you that’s fine. But please don’t make it sound like we didn’t enjoy this song, we LOVED it. And I think describing the vocals as power metal is a completely valid point but it’s fine for you to disagree.
yes, i noticed that to when i was watching this reaction, if they want to comment, they should pause, and comment, then back up a few seconds, and continue.
“If Stand and Deliver is power metal to you…” Asami’s vocals are the power metal aspect of this song. Maybe she can change her vocals or something, but you can’t expect people not to pick up on it.
@@SomethingToDo360 I recommend you listen to MOTöRHEAD songs. If Asami's voice is replaced with Lemmy's voice, then all MOTöRHEAD fans will say that 'Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)' is a classic MOTöRHEAD song.
It’s a shame you feel that way Pilgrim, our reactions are merely based on what we see with discussion about what we’re hearing, that’s all. We’re friends after all and our reactions are always going to bounce off one another, whether that’s about the song, or how the other is reacting. We appreciate you’re entitled to your opinion, however.
@@GLHFOfficialUK the thing is that about 50% of the time you weren't listening to the song. you were chatting with each other and not looking at the screen.
I would disagree with it being ‘chatting’, more discussing what we’re listening to, as you would expect from a reaction video. Reacting isn’t all jumping and shouting, it can be any exchange with regards to what we’re listening to. We appreciate the comment regardless 👊🏻
@@GLHFOfficialUK to discuss something, you first need to hear and see what you want to discuss. you were chatting while the song was playing. your attention was focused on each other, not on the song. it is impossible to fully listen to music and talk to someone at the same time. it is a pity that you do not understand this. but that is your problems

You ready ?
You ready ?
Let the night go deeper than now !

You see ?
You see ?
Scream until you break and rip out your heart
Forget about everything that is just in your way
Stand and deliver
'cause nothing's satisfying
Stand and deliver
and shoot'em down
Stand and deliver
'cause nothing's satisfying
Stand and deliver
and shoot'em down
This is it, take all in your hand
This is it, take all in your hand
You ready ?
You ready ?
This, for me, is never enough
This, for me, is never enough
You see ?
You see ?
Feel the shade that lays deep down in your soul
Already know the craziness hiding under that face
Stand and deliver
'cause nothing's satisfying
Stand and deliver
and shoot'em down
Stand and deliver
'cause nothing's satisfying
Stand and deliver
and shoot'em down
We will bring something new to this world
Speeding it up and we won't end
Bet the time you got in this game !

Just subscribed so I'm not sure yet what you guys have done - but if you'll take some advice from an old geezer - stick with JAPAN - so many superb bands and so much musical talent
ENJOY !
Consider it on the list! 🫡 thanks so much! Very excited to check out more of their discography
@@GLHFOfficialUK SSS is their best song IMO - every band member pushed the limits of their abilities in it. The best power metal song of all time IMO.
@@ChadTheDragonLord You can't headbang fast enough to keep up with this song. It breaks the song barrier.
You can absolutely hear the Maiden influence 👏🏻 her vocals are powerful! 🤯
If you weren’t expecting this just wait until you start to dip into their live stuff.
the Iron maiden concert wasn't in Tokyo. it was in Yokohama. but they all went to see it.

@@GLHFOfficialUK Actually, the MV for Shadowmaker is a classic. Its insane. So, for that song, I should do the MV first.
Welcome to the realm of the Wolfpack (Lovebites fans from around the world) !
Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string)
This video is from shortly after Fami joined the band, and I think it's a way to introduce her and help her feel comfortable playing with the other members who had been playing together for several years at this point and are all about 10 years older. She seems to have settled in very well and during the European and UK tour they did last summer she seemed to be having a wonderful time. Last weekend they all went together to see Iron Maiden play in Japan ( as also did former bass and founder member Miho)
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano.
If you enjoyed this song, here are a few recommendations for further listening
Break The Wall,
Soldier Stand Solitary,
Golden Destination (there is a video that has footage from their 2019 tour of the UK with Dragon Force, including Herman Li as the 'missing sixth member of Lovebites' wearing a white dress)
Thunder Vengeance,
M.D.O.,
Holy War
Scream For Me (live from 'Daughters of the Dawn' "OK Haruna, Give me the beat") For a masterclass in syncronised guitar shredding.
Winds of Transylvania (written for a Japanese Anime series VLADLOVE)
Frozen Serenade,
Swan Song, with the Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako,
Edge of the World,
Epilogue.
Let me suggest you some songs I'm sure you enjoy:
"Soldier stands solitarily" (LIVE 2023), maybe the greatest liveperformance of the band
"Break the wall" (LIVE 2020), the most brutal thrash/speed metal song of the band
"Judgement day" OMV 2023, title-track of the latest album, epic power metal with insane guitar solos
"Set the world on fire"" (LIVE 2021) pure thrash metal with great guitar solos
"THe hammer of wrath"" (LIVE 2023), epic singing with drums in great evidence
"Holy war" (LIVE 2020), their most known song on the net, classic and perfect performance
"Shadowmaker" OMV 2017, the first great success of the band, with wonderful guitar solos
"We are the resurrection" (LIVE 2023, released a few weeks ago on their channel), memorable epic and fast power metal
"Soul defender" OMV 2024, the latest song published a few days ago.
"Frozen serenade" (LIVE 2021), emotional power ballad that shows the multi-instrumental skills of the band.
"Edge of the world" (LIVE 2023), another superb ballad with an intense guitar solo by Miyako
"Unchained" OMV 2024, one of the latest release of the band
"Scream for me" (LIVE 2019) 14 guitar solos!!!
"When destinies allign" OMV 2020, with crazy guitar solos and double guitar solo
"The crusade" OMV 2017, a tribute to Iron Maiden
These are just examples to begin, the Lovebites discography containes about 60 songs, and there isn't a bad song.
The Lovebites formed in 2016 and have published 4 LP and 3 EP. The members you have seen are:
ASAMI, singer, composer and Lyrics maker, called "The one and unique voice"
HARUNA, drummer and founder of the group, an authentic drum-machine, called "little big engine"
MIDORI, guitarist (the blonde) and composer, called "crazy shredder"
MIYAKO, guitarist (the dark haired), pianist, main composer, the genius of the group, called "golden touch"
FAMI, bass player, the youngest and very talented, called "shining fingers"
Fami joined the band in 2022, after the former bassist MIHO (great bass player she also) left the band for personal reasons.
I hope my informations are useful for you, and good trip in the amazing Lovebites' world
Wow thank you so much for the breakdown of the band! We were blown away by this song and can’t wait to check out some more 🙌🏻
It really seems like each member is an integral part to the bands overall sound and we LOVE it! 👏🏻
We’ll be sure to get another reaction up for them soon!

They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal, hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk.

"WE ARE LOVEBITES AND WE PLAY HEAVYYYY METAAAAL!!!"
Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.
Best metal band today. They are elite in all aspects. 2 of the best guitarists I've heard ever.
Absolutely, so many aspects to their music and all of them mastered perfectly! They’ve definitely got a fan in us!
If you check out any of their live performance videos, you won't see any suits of armour, just white dresses!
We’ll definitely be checking out some of their live shows! Still sounds awesome 👏🏻
@@GLHFOfficialUK Lovebites breaks the mold of what a heavy metal band should look like - they dress in white instead of black and do not have any tattoos.
Lovebites history :
Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in
2018 - Wacken Open Air in Germany
2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England
2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium
2019 - Download Festival in Spain.
2019 - Download Festival in UK.
2019 - Summer Sonic 2019 Festival in Japan
In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

2024 - Concert tour Europe
2024 - Rock Imperium Festival in Spain
2024 - Hellfest in France
2024 - Resurrection Fest in Spain

Nickname:
Asami: vocal - "The One and Only Voice"
Miyako: black air - guitar "The Golden Touch"
Haruna: drums "Little Big Engine"
Fami: bass "shining finger"
Midori: blond air - guitar - "Crazy Shredder"
Next LOVEBITES song: “Break the Wall” Live! 🤘

@@GLHFOfficialUK Let’s go through the key theses made by this individual:

Thanks so much for the kind words, we glad you enjoyed! We’ll be sure to check out as many as we can! 🤘🏻
🤘🏽LOVEBITESRULES🤘🏽
LOVEBITES are eltie musicians, comfortably in the top three metal bands on the planet in terms of musicianship (alongside Dream Theater and Symphony-X). It is criminal that they aren't better known. If they were playing this music in the 1980s, they would be as big as Metallica. They simply don't have a bad song in their catalogue, and have several songs that are legitimate masterpieces. They play a wide range of metal, all heavily inspired by the classic metal of the 1980s and early 1990s. Personally, I love it when they play thrash - and here is my favourite thrash song from them. "Break the Wall" (live) ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html
As you will repeatedly hear in the comments, you need to see these women playing live to really appreciate the level of talent they possess.
Bands that you mention are progressive bands, LOVEBITES are METAL BAND, not comparable with bands you mention. I do not mean of METALLICA.

Welcome to LOVEBITES, my favorite band. This MV was also my first exposure to the band. this is just the tip of the iceberg, enjoy their other 60 masterpieces of metal!🤘🐺🤘
congratulations, you have just discovered the best band on the planet ! 😀
metal + grace + elegance + beauty + sympathy + great musicians + great songs = LOVEBITES !!!
Too many of their songs are my favourites to list. Here's a couple of "gentle" live ones for you to explore -
Holy War ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html
Set the World on Fire ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html
Awesome, thanks Marks! We’re down for absolutely anything so any suggestions are perfect. We’ll be sure look at whatever recommendations we get! 👊🏻
If lovebites say stand, you stand, and they deliver, I saw them in July in London, and they are one of the best bands you'll ever see live
Asami The One And Only Voice is second to none both vocally and in stage presence
Fami Shining Fingers is a prodigy on the Bass
Haruna The Little Big Engine is the No.1 drummer out there today, simply awesome
Midori The Crazy Shredder (blonde guitarist) is a speed demon shredder and along with ;,,
Miyako The Golden Touch make up the best twin guitarists in the world today.
Lovebites deliver Power Metal, Thrash Metal, Sick Ballads and more, try to find a bad lovebites song & get ready for the live performances!!!!
thank you. 😊
lovebites found you!
welcomes to the old-school metal!
They did! 🙌🏻
They are new Heavy Metal Band.
Part 1 (the list is too long to fit in one comment):
Japan has had an active all-girl rock and metal scene since at least 1981.
Ok, the list:
Show-Ya (1981) The original female J-metal band, founded before Metallica-this is from their 24th (!) anniversary concert-and they are still touring. They have a strong Deep Purple vibe, and in my view they belong in any rock or music hall of fame. “I am the Storm” ruclips.net/video/oJ_5Gv3vFjQ/видео.html
Shonen Knife (1981) The world’s first bubblegum punk band. They have done several world tours, and opened for Nirvana, who were big fans. They also perform as a Ramones tribute band called Osaka Ramones. ruclips.net/video/w9LUlYzOiWs/видео.html
Destrose (2005) This band was never stable, but has become almost mythic in metal history, because they spun off so many great bands, including Lovebites--you will recognize the drummer and bassist. Here are two clips-a lot of them get taken down so please let me know if either of these is dead:
ruclips.net/video/JpyzVlPJC2g/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/e-CH-FLS2kM/видео.html
(This cuts off just after Narumi’s guitar solo-but they didn’t cut that, and it’s gorgeous.)
Aldious (2008) Glamorous and kick-ass rockers. One of the first generation all-girl metal bands, along with Destrose. ruclips.net/video/sfkJT0rra-8/видео.html
Asterism (2013) Power trio that will melt your face off. Guitarist Haruka Noma is off the charts talented and just turned 21. ruclips.net/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/видео.html
Babymetal (2010) The flagship “Kawaii metal” band and the most well-known Japanese metal act outside of Japan. Combining “Kawaii” (cute) Japanese pop tropes over thunderous heavy metal backing from Kami Band. ruclips.net/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/видео.html
Band-Maid (2013) OK, there are 160+ great songs by them. Here is a live clip: ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html
Bridear (2011) Heavy, technical, and their tiny bassist also growls. They are releasing a new album in June 2024 that is a real killer. This is from their original lineup: ruclips.net/video/LQIDqudG_DQ/видео.html
Broken by the Scream (2016) Deathmetal idol group, mixed gender. Four female vocalists covering everything from guttural growls to cat screams to clean pop vocals, in front of a high-intensity band the plays a mix of thrash and speed metal. Some have likened them to Babymetal on PCP or meth. ruclips.net/video/PAaT4WuD_zI/видео.html
Cyntia (2011) Second wave, hard, heavy, but with prog and symphonic touches.
ruclips.net/video/FnhObh5i_3U/видео.html
D-Drive (2009) Instrumental progressive metal and fusion; Mixed gender. Extraordinary, technical dual lead guitars featuring Yuki and Seiji) Here is a one of my favorites, a gorgeous, moody jazz-blues-prog fusion number: ruclips.net/video/m5G3nXJtSzQ/видео.html
Disqualia (2015) Destrose spin-out, featuring Narumi, one of the best guitarists of this generation, and Hazuki, then an up-and-coming talent who is now the lead guitarist of Nemophila. ruclips.net/video/-M5zBKrTJRg/видео.html
Doll$Boxx (2012) Wild mix of metal, electropop, and god-knows what else; a collaboration between Fuki, best-known as the co-founder of Unlucky Morpheus, and Gacharic Spin. ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html
East of Eden (2023) Supergroup assembled by Ayasa, the fabulous violinist whose day job is with Morphonica, one of the BangDream projects.
@@taihavard Next time we’ll make sure we’re shouting it, don’t you worry! LOVEBITES 🤘🏻
Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥
Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna.
The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames)
Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3
Great reaction 🤟 lovebites go hard , holy wars, hammer of wrath, set the world on fire then they slow it down with swan song and frozen serenade they are brilliantly amazing artist 🤟
🤘🏻Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the video! We’ll be sure to give your suggestions a go! 🫡
You guys liked this and there are a lot of LOVEBITES songs/videos to have fun with. Good luck for your journey with LOVEBITES.
Every single one of these ladies are supremely talented, and I envy you guys on your discovery because now you get to listen to all their stuff for the first time :-)
They do a lot of genres, power, metal thrash, metal even epic ballad, type metal. They even have a couple songs that remind me of 80s metal with a keytar and everything :-) (Spellbound)
As we’re on stage, live is where they shine. If you think they’re good in this video wait you hear them live. And they don’t wear exactly armor, they do have battle uniforms that you will see as soon as you start watching. :-)
I highly recommend soldier, stand, solitarily, we united, and then if you want to stretch a bit try frozen serenade, and swan song with the Chopin intro
I can imagine! Discovering these for the first time is a hell of a ride! Lovebites have clearly taken inspiration from different genres, especially from the 80s, the power vocals and thrash create an incredible tune, plus can’t be easy to pull off! We’ll check out your suggestions Ani! Thank you!
Love Lovebites 🐺🤘🏴
Lovebites combine thrash, power, speed and heavy metal, with elements of the 80's and details of today. I cannot describe how awesome they are. Check them live. You will be blown away.

no -you guys were right - it IS pronounced love bit-ez. just kidding ! you have to see more from this band to see how truly amazing they are. you can not pigeon hole them as every song is way different. they can do it all
I’m surprised we’ve not been told we’re wrong yet! 😂😂 There seems to be a ton more we can rabbit-hole into so plenty more to come!

ASAMI could sing what ever style she wants. And she is also a GREAT PERSON and LEADER.🥰😍😘
I think this song is more NWOBM than Thrash. Early 80's metal from the likes of Diamond Head, Iron Maiden and Motörhead...Lovebites are the saviors of Heavy Metal...and they do so much more than this!
You have to check out their live shows, they are amazing live!

Congratulations, you are well on your way to disappearing into the Japanese metal rabbit-hole. There are only 60+ more Lovebites songs to go, and dozens of other incredibly good bands.

Part 2:
Mardelas (2014) Another spin-off from Destrose; mixed male/female; leader Marina Hebiishi has one of the best voices in metal ruclips.net/video/Wd8P7wTnWJs/видео.html
Mary's Blood (2008) The first major Destrose spin-out; Jedi-level lineup. Here, in their most famous video, Saki murders her guitar without breaking any nails: “Marionette” ruclips.net/video/MLM2unV0kwU/видео.html
Maximum the Hormone (1998) Crazy, chaotic mashups of deathcore, nu-metal, pop and high-speed rapping. Co-founder Nao (drums) is the female member of the band. Mutant Monster (2008) Punk-pop, really good at it. Unfortunately, they have not been active in some time.

Narumi (solo) Prog-rock and fusion compositions-a change of pace from a master guitarist who was once the star lead for Destrose. She was later part of Lonesome Blue, but recently left. I’m sure she will turn up with another band. ruclips.net/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/видео.html
Nemophila: (2019) Supergroup ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam. They were founded as a five-piece with dual leads, the other guitarist being former Mary’s Blood shred-master Saki. I’ve seen them live and they are just explosive. Saki left in early 2024. ruclips.net/video/lh-dVLKP314/видео.html
54 Nude Honeys (1992) Early Japanese punk-they toured the UK and Europe, and reports are that their crowds were as crazy as the crowds at Sex Pistols concerts. ruclips.net/video/jHnJSoGN5Mk/видео.html

Paranoid Void (2013) Extremely technical prog and math rock, founded by three high-school classmates, maybe the most mind-bending band on this list.) “Ukiyo” ruclips.net/video/LIP0uf6Lpco/видео.html

Telecide (2016) Metalcore, aggressive and melodic at the same time. Disbanded; Natsumi, their drummer, is now the drummer for Bridear ruclips.net/video/keq-7ZCluFc/видео.html
Tricot (2010) Post-progressive math-rock, highly technical with crazy time signatures and polyrhythms ruclips.net/video/P_B_GalsJrE/видео.html
Trident (formerly Kakumei, renamed in 2020 with some personnel changes). Evolved from pop-punk to thrashier hard rock; several lineup changes but the bassist and lead singer have been constants) ruclips.net/video/9k9txMouU34/видео.html
Unlucky Morpheus (2008) Female leads Fuki (vo) and Jill (violin). This band is a deep well unto itself, they cross many subgenres of metal; Fuki and Jill also do other projects and Fuki is lead for at least two other bands including Doll$Boxx, above. ruclips.net/video/PTuWOWF_0r8/видео.html
Wagakki Band (2012) Folk-Metal fusion band, all jedi-level musicians, half of them play traditional Japanese instruments and the other half play standard metal instruments. They announced in Jan. 2024 that they will go inactive at the end of the year. This song was originally written for a virtual (AI) singer, referred to as a Vocaloid:

There are many more.
“very little crossover”
Probably, but personally I like both bands.
So if you like introducing reactors to new bands, the same rabbit hole is a really good bet.,
Then there is the fact that the Japanese metal scene has such a high percentage of women or women fronted metal bands compared to the west (there are lots, but as a percent not as many)
Also there is some thematic overlap with many of the Japanese mostly women metal bands / rock bands.
LOVEBITES is my all time favourite band, but as of right now, Hanabie sit at the number 2 spot. But as you say, they are VERY different bands.
@@1970Phoenix “Hanabie sit at the number 2 spot”
For me it is:
1. Lovebites
2. Koiai
3. Hanabie
All very different from each other.
Nemophila is way closer to Hanabie , try Nemophila - "Rise" or "Zen"
“If Stand and Deliver is power metal to you…”
Asami’s vocals are the power metal aspect of this song.
@@jerryajc I got the impression that these guys are just not ready to take good music seriously.🤔
👎for such a reaction. you reacted to each other, and not to the song
I disagree that the reactors were just reacting to one another
@@GLHFOfficialUK to discuss something, you first need to hear and see what you want to discuss. you were chatting while the song was playing. your attention was focused on each other, not on the song. it is impossible to fully listen to music and talk to someone at the same time. it is a pity that you do not understand this. but that is your problems
