Nice, but I wonder why you didn't mention about Toni and Marlay....these two are cheap,spare parts are easily available....and the advantage about Toni is that these come available in 10 W and hence gets easily heated up and if you half wave rectify the input ac using a IN4007 diode,it lasts for a lifetime.

No, iron is big or small. Wattage depends on the components used in the board of the iron. A 10 Watt iron will be of same size as a 200 watt iron. What you see in local market is just fooling. Just send me a mail and you will get the right guidance.

Aluminium wire easily solder nahi pakadte. Alag prakaar ka flux use karna padataa hai. Copper wire enamelled ho to bhi solder nahi hoga. Remove the insulating enamel by using a blade or knife.
