  • In May I stayed for a couple of weeks with friends in Clarkdale, Arizona. I played a few small gigs (my first in the US) and performed at this open mic at The Spirit Room in the lovely (and spooky) hillside town of Jerome. On this Little Richard classic I was accompanied by the great percussionist/drummer (and multi-instrumentalist) Dave Rentz. It was a lot of fun!
Thank you Greg Jiede for the video!
If you'd like to learn this one or strum along with us, a song sheet containing the lyrics and chords I use can be viewed or downloaded from my songbook blog:

Thanks very much! I was only visiting Arizona from England for a couple of weeks. I had a great time around Jerome, Clarkdale, Cottonwood and Sedona, and a little bit of Phoenix. Looking forward to visiting again. 👍

I would love to hear you perform a Ray Smith song. My Uncle was James Webb. He was one of the "Rock & Roll Boys". The backup band for Ray Smith. Thanks for your songbook!

Wow, that’s amazing! I love Ray Smith’s music. Your uncle must be an interesting guy to talk to. I recorded this cover of a Ray Smith song a few years ago: ruclips.net/video/cZR5jCj5ahw/видео.htmlsi=ingieDCIDKTXhNqb
