We will go over the basic structure of a simple sentence in French, as well as articles and determiners, noun gender, singular and plural, and the importance of mastering conjugation, including tenses and modes.

Many years ago I dated a French girl from Montpellier,I didn't speak french very well at the time,But being Italian I understood a lot because the familiarity whit the language,I personally find the French language very beutiful..what a beutiful memories

Cet hiver, je travaille sur des classiques du cinéma français : Jean Renoir, Jean Gremillon, Jacques Tati, Cocteau et Eric Rohmer. J'avoue que j'ai encore besoin d'utiliser des sous-titres. Mais plus j'entends, plus j'apprends. Et j'ai découvert votre chaîne. En avant!

J'apprends le français par moi-même depuis cinq mois et j'apprends chaque jour de nouveaux mots et de nouvelles règles de grammaire. Ce n'est pas facile, mais beaucoup ressemblent à l'anglais et au polonais. Vos vidéos ont organisé mes connaissances. MERCI

I studied French for 8 years in school, but since I don't have money to travel to France, and in my little Italian town there arent french people I cant speak to and see if I'm making errors, I didn't speak or writing in french for about five years now. So this video really helped me relearn the basics! Mercii

Thank you for this beginners' guide ^--^ Sometimes I think that for English natives it is easier to master the gender, 'cause they don't have it so no confusion... but for those who have it in our own language it can become a real pain XD For example my first language is Russian and we have 3 genders, and too often in French and Russian they are opposite, lol...hard to sort it in your head ^^'
Oh la la ! Je n'avais pas pensé à ça 😅 tu sais... Tu as une chance sur deux de trouver le bon genre, ce qui est assez élevé 😂
However there must be some kind of pattern. Psychological, sociological, historical factors that determine genders in each language. Altough memorizing genders is probably less time consuming than reaching such deep understanding of those factors. Unless even those factors are more interwined and interdipendent than the modern western mind tend to think, in which case it could be faster. The myth of the tower of Babel comes to mind.
@@Alexander-fc6sg there is indeed a pattern in Russian. In French, on the other hand, I fail to find one, and my francophone friend confirms that there is no any universal approach to guess the gender in French. Memorising is the way... There are some groups of nouns which are mostly of the same gender, but again - French is the language of exceptions :)
I was referring to a psychological pattern, what makes the French mind consider things male or female, not rules of words endings.

Mes profs du français disaient: L'adjectif and le mot modifié doivent s'accorder en nombre et en genre. Ils répétaient çela bien souvent. Après plus de cinquante ans, je m'en souviens.
