    Thanks for the video. Is it better to have the pressure relief valve just after the pump or where you got it in your diagram? Or doesnt matter at all?
    What kind of threadlock did you use for the hydraulics? Any suggestions? Ah the Answer is in the Description :).

    • @sebbe23
      @sebbe23  Год назад +1

      I usually try to assamble the hydraulic system exactly how it is shown in the diagram, to have a constant flow of hydraulic fluid throughout the whole system. However I've also seen and built machines that have the PRV directly at the pump. Those also ran fine. BTW this would also be the case if you are using a pump with integrated PRV. So I don't have a real proof that one ore the other runs better. In the end other aspects like programming, mixing and the physical layout of tank, pump and hoses will play a much bigger role on the performance of the system
      Threadlock: Loctite 542 - as you have already seen in the description ;-)

    Very helpful. Although you didn’t include the radiator as mentioned it would of been nice to see.

    • @sebbe23
      @sebbe23  10 месяцев назад +1

      You might include it in the low-pressure line between filter and tank (or maybe prv and tank). It depends a bit why your oil is too hot in the first place. If it's too hot because of the pump pushing too much oil through the prv in idle, you should considre fixing this first - lower idle rpm. Generelly, I don't think a radiator is really neccessary for most models. Usually the oil becomes too hot due to wrong hydraulic setup or (mainly) wrong programming, which can be easily corrected. If you just like to have a radiaor in your system, just add it like mentioned ;-)

      @witneydiggersrc3251 10 месяцев назад

      @@sebbe23 thank you. It was such an interesting video and many questions spring to mind relating to the hydraulics. I don’t have a radiator, and the model uses a combined tank and pump . Im not sure how you would check the temperature or know what a reasonable temperature would be. 🤔. Having had hoses expand recently I guess something isn’t quite right🙈.

    • @sebbe23
      @sebbe23  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@witneydiggersrc3251 with this all included units it's sometimes quite hard to really improve it. That's why I try to use seperate pump, thank, prv etc. If it's hot to the touch then it is too hot. If the hose burts then it underlines that its too hot or the pressure is too high (or both). Try lowering the idle rpm and try lowering the pressure. Often much less is needed then one thinks. This will be addressed in the nex episode that will hopefully come out in some time 👍 cheers

    Welche Größe bzw. Stärke sollten Motor, Pumpe, Ventile und Schläuche bei einem 1:8er RC-Modell haben?

    • @sebbe23
      @sebbe23  Месяц назад

      @ErichPeschka hängt ganz vom Modell ab. Ich habe bisher nur 1:14,5 gebaut. Habe 1:8er gesehen, die identische Technik nutzen wie im Video genzeigt, aber auch welche die kleine Industrie-Komponenten benutzen. Es kommt ganz darauf an, welchen Druck du fahren möchtest und wieviel Volumenstrom du brauchst.

    Hi
    I'm wondering if I'm using hose 4x2 is big difference between 4x2.5??
    My hose 4x2 withstand pressure up to 60 bar

    • @sebbe23
      @sebbe23  Год назад +2

      Very good question, thank you! If you take a look at the actual cross section, a hose with 2,5mm inner diameter has a 56% bigger (!) cross sections compared to a 2mm hose ( PI*R²: 3,14 * (2/2)² = 3,1mm² vs 3,14 * (2,5/2)² = 4,9mm²). Also the max pressure is usually stated at room temp (20°C). With hot oil (e.g. 60°C) the strenght can reduce significantly! So better don't take for granted that you can use that hose at 60bar all the time! Also, from my point of view, you don't need that high pressure in a model. I'll discuss this topic in detail in the next (8th) episode.

  • @darecki704pl

    Hi
    what size of hose should be at the outlet of the pressure relief valve ??
    4x2.5 or 6x4 ??

    • @sebbe23
      @sebbe23  Год назад +1

      since there should be no pressure, you should be able to use what you like. However, if the programming of the model is done right there souldn't be much oil going through the PRV, so a bigger diameter will not benefit. I use 4x2.5 for all standard connections (except for tank pump)
