I decided to animate it!!
chapter 1 of deltarune.
(this is my interpretation of it, probably not canon)

You can do something similar at the beginning of Super Paper Mario. It ends the game right there, before you can even save for the first time, meaning you have to start the game all over again and sit through the opening cutscenes again after that.

This is actually a terrifying hypothetical and portrayed in a realistic way, as well as being beautifully animated. Well done!
I can imagine susie surviving for 5,10,30 years like this and fighting with the others lighteners
What's more shocking is while Ralsei got the easy way out via turning to stone Susie had to deal with it all like the Progress before facing the end for such a Small Animation it screams volumes of what ifs
This is super sad. It captures everyones reaction to giving up for the first time, before the saddest jingle plays.
Also i love the detail of when susie’s soul falls it turns blue. Showing its being effected by gravity. Just a tiny detail but i love it.

I think the blue is meant to represent how the darkness is too powerful for her soul and nearly took it over.

This was absolutely amazing, I aways thought Darkness Falls was a sad and melancholic song, but the inclusion of Susie going on to try to fight the titans really shows how near the end of the song it seems to get a slight bit more hopeful.
When the music changes to a piano version of the game over theme, I always imagined a blurry glimpse of Asriel coming back from college, stepping out of the car and waving at you happily, only for it to completely fade out and cut to the roaring as the music gets more dramatic

Finally a video that doesn't show the player/us as the bad guy, literally without the player/us the world would have been covered in darkness, same thing as undertale everyone blames the player/us of genocide run forgetting that player/us also did pacific run, anywho thanks for this great and awesome animation and keep the awesome work.
I mean, in the case of Undertale the genocide run was a decision that you have hours of time in order to decide to stop what you are doing. You are choosing to end the world purely out of boredom. It might be nice that you did the true pacifist ending but undoing that for the sake of doing geno makes that completely irrelevant.
@@deesnyder8201 I don't say that all players a good, but even if you did genocide it doesn't mean your evil, heck it can be justified as the monsters attacks you without hesitation and wants to kill you for your soul, so I don't monsters are innocent in this one.
@@shadowprotector4030 Within the context of Undertale, yes you are evil for resetting after pacifist so you can do genocide. You are literally committing mass murder and then proceed to destroy the world just because you wanted more game content. And no, geno can't be justified because most monsters take like 1-2 turns to spare and there is no lasting consequences for dying because you have access to determination and the ability to save and load. Monsters aren't always perfect and peaceful but none of them are evil and it is possible to reason with most of them easily.
@@deesnyder8201 no you aren't, you were just curious and literally there many reasons for it, maybe the player wants to find is there a way to bring back asriel or chara if they did genocide or there something important they missed, also not forgetting that an important part of story is hidden in genocide run, so no not really.
And yes it can be justified because those monsters literally trying to kill you, are you saying if someone tries to kill you, you will instead flirt with them and not fight back and I know you said most doesn't take much turn, but it is quite opposite it takes more then three turn for each monster for you to spare them and only get harder as you go further in the game, example the royal dogs fights and it is only in 12% of the game, none evil but they did do many evil things even to there own kind and still try to say to there self that they aren't evil, so in other words gaslight themselves.

You're proving my point that you are committing this atrocity just because you want more game content. That isn't a good reason lore-wise to murder 100 people and then destroy the world. I'm not saying you are literally an evil person irl if you do the genocide run or if you like the new content in the geno-run because thats stupid. I'm just saying that lore-wise what you are doing is incredibly heinous and can't be reasonably justified.

If I had infinite chances at life like Frisk does, yes I would try to deescalate the battle and keep people safe. Monsters aren't inherently evil and can be reasoned with if you take the little bit of effort it takes to just be nice to them instead of killing them.

Sure maybe mini-bosses/bosses may commonly take more than 3 turns to spare but most random encounters are incredibly easy. Final Froggit who is at the core can be spared in one turn for example.

Again, Monsters aren't perfect they still make mistakes sometimes. But none of them are irredeemable and all of them can be passively dealt with. There is a book in the snowdin library that says that monster souls are made of love (the good kind), hope, and compassion. They don't have the capacity to be irredeemably evil. And before you try to tell me that "that's just propaganda" or something along those lines, Flowey's entire backstory proves this book right. Once he lost his monster soul he lost pretty much all of his love and compassion and anytime he did anything kind it was more just out of boredom and wanting to see what would happen.

Imagine the snowgrave route, like, either:
1. Kris dies on the snowgrave berdly battle, berdly rushes over to comfort noelle, but suddenly, the roaring starts to occur, berdly and noelle grab a car and drive towards the castle, but the car stops working, they try running, finding susie and joining her.
2. Kris dies on the snowgrave spamton neo fight, spamton tried to grab kris's soul, but it broke. Spamton starts yelling, he lost his chance. The fountain starts growing, spamton grabs kris's corpse (he doesnt really know whats going on so he does the first thing he thinks of doing) tries to escape, but his neo body is starting to turn into stone, spamton jumps out of the neo body, and stares at the titans, crying, and soon turning into stone as well. Noelle's room starts breaking as well and so susie and noelle rush out and head towards the fountain, seeing kris's corpses and queen, ralsei and spamton turned into stone.
This shows how much Susie cares for Kris… (Btw keep up the good work!)
She don't. She start to care about him and ralsei only in end of chapter 1 and chapter 2

Kris is a they them pronouns and everyone’s knows that. Toby is tired of correcting people about Kris gender cause he stated in the game itself that it is they them. I love how the Roaring starts immediatly after Kris dies, even though (presumably) the Knight hasn't created any more Dark Fountains yet.
This deserves more views.

I would love a side game like this. In which Kris dies and the fountain gets out of control and Susie has to save everybody.
It'd just be an apocalypse until the player logs back on and everything continues as if nothing happened
This would be canonically true, and i like the detail that susie has a bravery soul, because of her personality trait.

These CHARacters…some represent loved ones in our hearts that we grow apart from and we reCONNECT to them in some way shape or form. Either from our senses, our memories, or even a place would just bring you back to a time when you were once pure…(of heart…) if you ever get a chance I highly recommend you play Undertale…if not I already judge you…not to mention people spend time…HOURS making these shorts [let alone the game…] …nevermind…kids like you wouldn’t understand.

The fact that Susie cares enough about Kris to pick them up like they were actually friends broke my heart. (But in the good way)
I suspect She DOES care, including the fate of the world, at least later on. Just feels the need to compensate her feeling of lack of control by projecting via selfishness and bullying.
At least that's my psychological profile on her, the exact reasons could vary.

I can see it now
A long shot of a dark staircase with manic laughter coming from the prison cell. The crazed Jester laughs as the world turns to stone. He had his fun, and now the true chaos has begun
The salesman screams for help as he slowly turns to stone. While the rest of the cyber citizens rush to the Queen for help, the salesman used this chaos to get to the suit, but it only partially worked. The lightner side of the creation kept the darkner alive, but frozen. He was unable to move, unable to scream, unable to call for help. He was left dangling there in the cold basement, all alone.
Ok but if this was the cutscene when you give up i would go wild
