Im 70, still working fulltime so I watch the cycling videos from my stationary bike. Im in Dallas, so it was lovely to do a ride from my birthplace to one of my favourite places. thanks for the trip
Wow that sunrise drone shot! This is tempting me out again when I’ve got time. I take the train up and cycle back😊The Bowling Basin is a lovely wee bit. I always think if you’re cycling with a young family you’re going to ultra careful alongside the Leven! As you say, you don’t mess with that! A lot of old factory buildings around. Cycling from Edinburgh along the canal I picked up 2 flats. Within minutes near Broxburn. I ended up catching the train back from Linlithgow due to the time.
That was a really excellent, relaxing video. I sold my bike a few months ago as where I live it requires riding on very busy, fast roads. I didn't want to put myself in front of inpatient drivers anymore. Watching this brought back great memories of doing long rides, just exploring and enjoying the journey.
Your videos are really good! As a cycle infrastructure geek I saw your most recent one about Glasgow's great new developments in my recommendations, which was fantastic - and this one was brilliant too. I love your style of filming and editing! Looking forward to watching your other videos 👍
Your video shots are definitely improving and the drone footage really gives perspective on the beautiful surroundings. Braver than me cycling on ice. Glad you stayed upright 👍
Nice look around your city, that track looks very picturesque and could imagine in summer would be very pretty. I can't believe how much ice you had on your brakes,to cold for me. Cheers from Australia
Great video I’ve rode that track many a time less smelly if you go through the gate lol great drone shots , I know how much effort goes into these videos as I do this with my bike and drone , spend more time stopping etc 👍
Love seeing the production quality just keep on improving on your channel. Have you ever seen the RUclips channel “fisherman’s life,” ? Your videos remind me of his videos, same nice vibe and form, like I’m along for a day out, and relaxing. Except yours is the cycling in Glasgow version! Which is great because I’m from Glasgow. Great shots of the city. I think maybe now all you need is a better microphone. But I understand technicalities of that could be complicated with cycling out doors. Keep doing what you’re doing! I look forward to seeing the city change with the seasons in your videos this year.
@@glasgowcycles I think you’d get some good ideas from him! His channel has millions of subscribers but it’s not doing that much different than what you’re doing. “Along for the ride,” type stuff. Cheers!
Thanks! was just looking at it again there and thinking about how cold my fingers where when flying the drone. That video was only possible with hand warmers inside my gloves. The sunrise was phenomenal that day.
Nice ride! The new bridge at Bowling looks interesting. Last time I was out that way it was still under construction - I need to head out west again! I'm enjoying your videos and seeing the infrastructure that Glasgow's putting in. Is there a paper cycling map for Glasgow such as the one's Spokes produces for Edinburgh and the Lothians?
I'm not sure about the paper cycling map. Last time I got one of those was at the European championships I think. Would be good to get something that's updated.

Nice wee nostalgia trip for me (a Renfrew boy) as I used to go fishing in the Clydebank canal way back when. Subbed 👍🏻
Great video loved the intro
Awesome early morning drone shots. Your a better man than I for cycle that path when you did. I have only managed it once on a frosty Nov day. 👍

Thank you. It’s definitely a lot more fun in the warmer months when your fingers don’t hurt setting up shots 😁

Only downside,nothing was open for a coffee😂
Coffee stops the best bit 😁

I underestimated how cold it was on friday as I headed up to Craigmaddie reservoir just at Milngavie.
it's so nice up there
Excellent footage, I’ve done that route a few times 😀
Many a gravel cyclist debates for hours about tyres and you just smashed it on ice and the frozen mud with slick conti's.
do you use a gopro.to record with
Yes a GoPro hero 9 it is very temperamental in the cold
