I'm so happy I found this video again! I saw it, part 1 and 2, some time ago, I saw how this young man transforms a humble wodden house into a wonderful, comfortable home, it's great to be able to see all that again!
Best house in China! I love that he sympathetically restored it and kept items from the Grandfathers, yet made it modern and comfortable. 10/10. His little daughter should do modelling or acting.
This by far is the best renovation I've watched and this guy is good!! He's really put time and effort to this restoration project for him and family, well done and I hope to see more like this..🙏🙏

I just watched it and I love the bamboos arrangement for the attic.. OMG I will do it in my new room at my farmhouse.. Love it..I can cover it with a thicker curtains to prevent mosquito coming in.

As a Brit. I have always been curious about traditional Chinese housing. Although I appreciate the necessity of keeping the house cool in summer, that house looks as though it will be freezing in winter, with little to no insulation upstairs. All that said, it is wonderful to see these old properties being restored.

The roof needs a waterproof cover over new wood then the tiles! Underneath the roof you need insulation. Dear God, I hope they do it correctly in order to save wood, effort, manpower, and supplies.😢
1:01:10 Roof has huge gaps... Enough for rodents, bats, animal feces, an rain to fet through and damage their lower ceilings. In other Chinese videos the guys stopped each gap with wood and cement.😢 The wiring needs to be updated, reorganized, and covered... I also would not run my Septic Line right next to my Water Line for obvious reasons- a broken Septic Line could potentially contaminate the Water Line with feces and waste.😢 The sanding of wood was done very well!

In filling it up, you change his intention for the home. Hope you reconsider. You need to modernise the fish pond with filtration system.
