I was at this show!!! 105 degrees, they were dumping water on the crowd from helicopters...fireworks display unbelievable. It was the closest to being in Heaven on Earth for 2 hours that night!
FINALLY!! I have been waiting forever for someone... anyone... to react to this video. I've suggested it to so many reactors and nothing til now. I don't think any other KISS video shows the relationship between fan and band like this one. Great one!!
When the tickets, I stayed home from work and kept hitting until they were available! KISS was the first concert that I saw... I was 8 years old in 1976. I have seen them live 30is times.
The final concert at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Over 30 years later, again, KISS closed another historic venue in Detroit. This time it was Cobo Hall where KISS recorded the Alive album in 1975. Michigan, Detroit Rock City, has had a huge connection to KISS. The band is not from there but they sure embraced it like their second home. Unfortunately this reunion lasted only a little over 3 years and sadly Ace Frehley never did a live show again, with KISS, after January of 2000. 😢
I was there! Alice in Chains opened. A.I.C. were the loudest band I ever heard! Tiger stadium was booming! Main floor infield got rushed as soon as lights went down before Kiss started. Aside from the usual "funny cigarettes I snuck in a camera to this show, which was before we all had good cell phones with cameras.🤘😎
Saw KISS twice in the 70’s .. Anaheim Stadium where Ted Nugent & Bob Seger opened the show .. Fabulous Forum where Peter Frampton & Cheap Trick opened for them!! Both shows were spectacular!! Love the original line-up! DETROIT ROCK CITY is a great song or maybe do Ace Frehley’s NEW YORK GROOVE from his solo album! Thank you!!
@@debramoore7513 those were the days of my favorite concerts . Deep purple, rainbow, UFO triumph, Judas priest acdc, Styx ,van halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ronnie James Dio, etc.
@@jerrywoods4066 You are so lucky to have seen these bands live! 😄 Wow!! 🤘🤘 I went to a Motown Tribute Concert years ago, with a friend who was a musician. Some of the best artists from Motown were there! Man, those were the days, right?? Oh here’s a “it’s a small world” moment! A few yrs ago, I had a hair Appt at the hairdresser’s home! She turned out to be Ace Frehley’s sister from KISS, hairdresser to the rock stars! Now we’re good friends! Btw, thanks for chatting!! ⭐️
@@debramoore7513 I've met Paul Stanley, gene Simmons, Sammy Hager, Micheal Anthony, b.b. king , Stanley Clarke, Ted Nugent, Angus young , Ian Gillan, don airey , Stevie Morse. Maybe a couple more .
I never saw them live in the '70s height of Kiss, so when the reunion tour was announced after the MTV unplugged sessions, it was on! I saw them in early '97 and they were great. The band was in shape....both physically and musically. It was like a time warp back to '76. They did it right. I still have the Spin magazine release of each member's face on the cover. Just like their solo records, but now from the '90s. That was the most anticipated tour of the last decade at least.
You must check out their performance at Madison Square Garden 7-27-96 of the reunion tour. They seemed more in-synch, excited, and blew down the place. Start to finish a perfect concert..
A bunch of us flew out of New York to the opening night at Tiger Stadium fir the reunion tour. It was a great weekend. We got to see Smashing Pumpkins at the arena the next night.
Very much enjoy your reactions fun fact that a few years later this stadium would be demolished for a brand new Baseball stadium which now the Detroit Tigers play at now.
Back in the 80's went to tons of concerts here in Ohio. Used to take in bottle of Jack, beer, smoke.and even a bong too an Ozzy concert. Security wasn't anything compared to the crap you deal with today. For the most part you showed up, walked in. No metal detectors or anything like that. I mean some got really stupid and tried to bring in big shit that you could obviously see. It was a different time.
Sneaking alcohol into a cricket stadium. You cut a hole into a watermelon, pour a couple of bottles of vodka into it, replace the skin plug so the melon looks whole again, then all's good. It's just a melon for when you get hungry or thirsty watching the game. All the watermelon is now alcoholic. Security knows what you're doing, but don't care. They know how expensive buying beers are at the game, and basically give you the green light lol. It's an Ausie tradition
Best thing I bring to all concerts: a bra I sewed that can be filled up with whatever liquid I want :D Finally that one mastectomy scar is paying off...usually I put beer or water in the side with more storage space and hard liquor in the one with less. Nothing like suddenly extending a straw and drinking your boobs to get a laugh out of everyone else lol They don't dare touch boobs for real on the checks and the one time someone pointed out that one is softer than the other I just told her to fuck off and that it's not my fault I only have one that's normal enough for her. The thing works like a charm if you want festival frontrow and not get dehydrated completely.
Ace Frehley and Peter Criss were the sound of KISS, imo. It was loose and ragged but in a cool way, like the Stones or the Faces, that kind of Rock. But as soon as Gene and Paul got the replacements in, it changed too much; now KISS just sounds like any rock band. It's pedestrian. It actually worked with Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent in 1982, the band sounded badass. But today, with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer, it's just tame.
you have to remember that we had waited nearly 20 years for that reunion tour...it was nuts

The real Space Ace Frehley!! Accept no substitutions!!
Awesome concert video 🤘😆🤘👍😎👌
Saw KISS in the 70s twice. We used to snuck in liquor, 1/4 pounds, & all sorts of goodies. But back then, it was easy.

The All Night Lights 36Crazyfists
I have worn makeup for a concert
Big bags of illegal substances, but that was years ago lmao
I didn't stand all the way in the front with a very recognizable humongous KISS banner and a crazy outfit. I was not at this show.
