  • Our Coleman Saluspa inflatable hot tub had an E02 error. After trying everything else I ordered a new impeller and went for it. Seems to have succeeded!
I couldn't find a video that showed this version of the "egg" heater and pump being disassembled so I filmed myself putting it back together. Just do it in reverse for taking it apart ;)
This is the slightly squared off version of the airjet pump and heater.
    Hope it helps you!
Fingers crossed it doesn't leak or anything!

this is by far the best video I have seen for the updated saluspas and how to replace the impeller. THANK YOU!!! oh. And it’s super easy to unplug the control panel. Just snip the plastic zip tie unplugged, and then plug back in. Helps get that thing out of the way!!!

Very good video, thanks for taking the time to save us all time and money. I’m going to go get a long screwdriver tomorrow and open mine up and order a new impeller. Incidentally those black thingy’s are called grommets, I love that you didn’t know what anything was called yet you still managed to fix it. Respect!

This is our third year with our Saluspa. In opening up the hot tub on Sunday (Nov 12th) we got the E02 error. I tested water flow in and out, and tried so many things (we ordered this part kit from amazon hoping it would fix the issue) ~ the propeller change did it (2 days late for $20 US). In reviewing the egg, it was very clean and I was skeptical it was the propeller. I replaced it along with the rod, washers, and plastic pieces in hopes it would fix it. The only damage I found was in the original plastic nut holding the propeller in place - maybe it was that little plastic piece causing the propeller not to center correctly. Anyway, thank you for your video. Our hot tub is now heating up and filtering. Thank you from VA.

I had trouble reaching high water temperature all week until I realized that you should not power the Saluspa with an extension cord. My A.C. voltage was down to only 105V with my extension chord.

I'm lost on the extension cord issue.....I assume most of use them as there isn't always power a few feet away. Thanks. I'm replacing my impeller now but then I saw this comment.

@@shelleyshearer7264 I had a 50ft 10A cable which was clearly not allowed. I only just noticed the label saying NO EXTENSION CHORD! My eyesight is not so good. The tub was having trouble reaching 102degF. Last year it worked fine but not this season. Anyway, I am just testing it tonight without any extension chord. If it works, I will report back. I saw some 25ft 12awg heavy duty extension cord which might still just work, but you really need to see 110V to 120V AC at the hot tub AC connector for the hot tub to work properly as intended.

@@shelleyshearer7264 Update: Without the extension chord our hot tub reached 102F in 12hours. However, it has worked sporadically with the extension cord also. If it fails again I will report back. For now I am calling it good.

@@shelleyshearer7264 It run all day at 100F even though I set it to 102F. Now it tonight it is down to 97F. So its back to not working again. Not sure what to try next.

Great video. I know you had the e02 error but would your pump just kind of hum for a few seconds and then display e02?
My pump just hums as soon as I press the heat button and then quits.

I ordered this one: Aosnom Water Pump Repair Kit for Bestway Coleman SaluSpa Lay-Z-Spa w/Impeller & Shafts
But there seem to be several out there that would work.

@AdventureDorks thanks! I did order one but actually discovered after replacing the filter that it has fixed the problem. The filter didn't look too dirty though.. let's see how long it lasts. Flow seems to be nice and strong for now.

Yes! I have to admit that I didn't screw the pump screws tight enough so it leaked profusely - but after I tightened it all up, it's been working perfectly for weeks!
