The Hawaiian in SoCal: "It's kinda chilly now!" Love it!
What a lot of people from around the World don't know is the water in Cali is cold. Put on a wetsuit and it's no big deal. But tourists show up thinking the water will be warm and they are shocked because the water is cold. We have the opposite problem here in Florida where I live. The water is 86 - 88 degrees from May to November. Hawaii's water temps are usually in the 70s.
And the air temp this time of year is like 60 degrees

@9:10 that's a trestles and other harder to reach spots problem, anywhere else people usually have jugs of hot water and full on changing stations

I believe there are many other ways to get to those spots than this way... * you can park at San O and (12 min walk along beach to Trestles areas) * park at lot (near Carl's Jr) and walk (10 min walk) * there's another parking area (free) if you want to walk along train tracks (20 min) but this way may be illegal way (the other parking lots require a fee or if you live here you can buy annual pass)

Amazing how different our lives are by where we grow up. Those kids will all be great surfers and it costs not a penny to join or be in a “game.” Unlike hockey baseball or football you can play whenever you want as long as yah want and your parents won’t go broke yearly. Lol just awesome stuff

Would be cool if you'd engage the kids more...(think back to when you were a kid) as well as maybe people in and around the periphery of your sport and maybe, just maybe you might have other interests in the world at large to bring forth in your clips. I think it would add more dimension and more storytelling and make the vlogs more interesting to watch. Btw...jack...clean your sensor.

i just found your vlog, and started following you...you obviously need an editor.
but you are such a personable man, and good for the sport (as good as anyone can be in this SURFMART industry run by greedy kooks), that i suggest you get an editor that aspires to be as good as you are a surfer!! too much wasted opportunity to capture your professional life in a more fluid, and entertaining way. you are one of the biggest stars of surfing, and your life one of the most interesting to the surfing public at large.
