Resetting is 100% worth it. Just make a small list of all the items you are missing and would like to get. Searching just for one specific item seems a little tedious but if you have small list you are bound to find one under 20/30 resets. It is something that makes me actually want to login to the game and play every day while waiting for new update.
I have 930 furniture items and I can still find 3-4 new items every day with less than 5 resets. Yes. It’s worth it. But once multiplayer comes, it will be obsolete with the community.
That’s my limit too!! I’ve gotten some of my favorite wants that way.
I spend most time with Minnie! I harvest a lot of pumpkins and it may be my imagination but I feel like I get more pumpkins with her. Lol
I prefer to just get what i get things come to the store when they come
with out doing resets with in the first year of DDV I have

White Wood Veggie Stand and two day ago i actually got something i have wanted for a little while now the Modern Partition Shelf.
i know resetting might help you get things sooner and i get that and each to there own but i just prefer to see what i get and now with multiplayer coming visiting other valleys you might be able to find things you need faster to so.
I have 1,120 some items and I have never reset. To me it is just not worth it. I'll get the more rare items eventually.
I'm at 1190 some items and I get like 1 new item every 4-5 days, even once a week sometimes. I'm guessing the higher furniture count, the lower chance you get for newer items, especially the rarer ones. I did get the telescope last week. 😊
Yes!!! Resets are worth it. Especially when you track 1300 items
I reset my shop until I get a new interesting item that isn’t a couch or counter. Usually takes no more than 3-4 resets for me and I have about 900-950 total items
Totally worth it if you want to get everything Scrooge has to offer.
I definitely think Scrooge resetting is worth it. It is the only thing that probably gets me to log in some days because I don’t get new stuff that often unless I reset. I just reset most of the time to get a new item
I don’t reset either. Just like to see what I get. I always have a mining buddy for the extra gems and a farming buddy for the extra crops. I would say maybe Vanessa made her a mining buddy.
I personally love resetting scrooge's shop, I only reset until I get 2 new items or a new wallpaper or floor.
Unfortunately no matter what method I try, Scrooge won’t reset. I’m on the switch. 😢 I’m at 1115 furniture items so far. Also, Serroh is the best!❤
There is only one method for the switch. It’s best to keep your house next to Scrooges so you have time to look in the store quickly before it auto saves. You just hold the power button down until the screen goes black while still in the store.

I wont reset the shop. It is just a personal preference. I like seeing what the store has for me each day. Yesterday, I didn't get anything new and today, I got like three new things. It is just my own personal preference. It makes it more fun and one more reason to login daily.
I will be spending quality time with the Pumpkin King. Then I will work on the expansion. I LOVE Jack Skellington and NBC. I even have a tattoo of the Pumpkin King.
I'm still waiting for the Dryer to appear so I can finish the laundry room in my house.
I use to reset a lot more than I do now. No where near the dedication of the person in the post! Also not every time even when I did it more often. Really it's just boring to do. I only reset now when there is nothing new. Not always though. Depends on how I feel that day. Most days now it's whatever. If nothing else I'll grab the ever exciting and oh so rare Mickey or Minnie pic 🙃
I will say that the more rare items I have (vine/rock etc) I got when walking in the shop. Resetting got me a few mid rare things but not really the ultra rare items. Still a lot of things to go but I decided, like you said, why am I in a hurry?
I do like to reset a few times. I don't usually look for specific items, I just reset until I see something I like. It can take 3-20 times, but I don't usually do more than that.
I do not have the patience to reset, idk about pc but PS4 takes forever to load, I can’t 😹
They need to fix the TOM problem. I had issues saying it was in my shot when I was taking a pic in Forgotten lands and the only custom thing I have is on my beach.
i refresh scrooge store,cause i want to get those rare items sooner than later,having alot of the items it gets harder to not get alot of items you already have,so when that happens refreshing atleast give you atleast 1 or 2 new items. there are really hard items to make show up and it gives you more a chance to get them in refreshing ,i today did around 20 somewhere of refreshes and finally got my rock rug to show ,but i have been trying on other days and gave up and settled for something else,but since there so many items and alot of chances to get items you already have refreshing does help in my opinion.
Resetting Scrooge's shop changed my life...... for the better! I don't wait for any specific item, but I despise only being offered the same old couch/table/cabinet. My furniture collection presently stands at 1176/1630 so why di i still need 454 items to complete the collection with nine days until the expansion?
I reset when my shop options are pretty bad. Otherwise I stop. I don’t reset until I get a certain item I’m looking for.
It is definitely worth it. I started doing it recently and got alot of items i didn't have. Still haven't got the vine lamp though lol.
Resetting is worth it but I wouldn't do it for one particular item. I reset in order to get new items, as most mornings when I log in I don't have anything new. Usually come updates, I spend a week or so not resetting just to get the new items, which seem to have a higher chance of showing up in the shop when the game updates. I reset to ensure each day I log in I get at least one new item. I wouldn't recommend resetting to new players or players with less than 1000 items as its a waste and you'll be skipping over items that could be useful in dreamsnaps or just for decorating the valley!
I would not want to spend all that time resetting. I am ok with waiting for the item when it comes.
I think it’s worth it. I hate logging in and there’s nothing good or new.
On my Xbox One, I do it….even though reloading takes over 10-15 minutes each time. So, I do other things during the wait.
I just ordered an Xbox Series…sooo…here’s hoping the reload is way quicker, my game stops lagging, and my dreamsnaps aren’t blurry.
Resets are totally worth it! Sometimes I don’t get anything new and so I just started doing it and it’s the only way I can get anything new! I still don’t get any clothes AT ALL. It’s totally empty.
I had the problem with touch of magic , it only stopped when I put on a different outfit though , was really strange since I didn’t see anything wrong with what I was wearing before
The only time I reset is if I didn't get at least 2 new items even if they are more modern furniture pieces. I never do more than 15 times, I don't have that patience.
I still have to finished Ursula quest. I’m waiting to fix the glitch with the missing ice.
I do reset Scrooge's shop, but not every day. I only do it when I own everything he's showing off the bat. And I only reset until I find at least 1 item I don't have. I don't have any delusions that I can own everything in the game (I didn't start actually collecting until recently, I was just purchasing to fit in builds), but I would like to collect as much as possible.
I reset scrooge's store, but I have rules, I stop if I find 2 new items at once or one new item thats really pretty! I don't keep refreshing for specific items because my goal is to complete my furniture collection and not pass up on furniture.
So, yes, I think refreshing is worth it but I don't rely on it for rare items :D
These are my rules too!! I have been passing on wallpapers unless there was one new other item, but now that I hit 1200 items I think I will start grabbing the wallpapers.

People who reset drive me crazy. They complain about how many times they have to reset and then also complain about how there are no new items in the game because they have them all.
I haven’t done too much resetting, mostly because I’m on switch, and you have to hard reset, and it glitches out my game. It’s time consuming, as well, for not much payoff. The ONLY item I want enough to reset is the melted candles, but between watching RUclipsrs do it and doing it myself, I’ve never once seen it come up in theirs OR mine.
Resetting is a must for me. If I didn't reset I wouldn't get any good item or items I really want. When I wasn't resetting I would get good stuff every other month or more. I'm not with that, I'm not playing the game to only get couches or the same items everyday that's rubbish.
I’ve been playing since the start and never seen a lot of these items in my game.
I reset a lot or have - at one point it was trying to get specific windows I wanted - now, I reset a lot to try and get new things. It would be nice if the RNG was weighted towards things we don't already have.
Also, I would really like a non-holiday version of the holiday windows we got last winter.
what is resetting scrooge's shop, hows it done? is there any way to know if an item is new to you? besides going into the furniture category and scrolling through everything or trying to memorize near 1700 items
I think there will be more Forgotten quests with the update.
I have rules for my resets... reset until I get the desired item OR something I haven't gotten yet (that is worth).
If I get a neat wallpaper or flooring I don’t reset. Otherwise most of my new items are cabinets or sinks. I will then go up to 5 resets and that’s all I have the patience for.
I feel so bad for Wall-e so I have him come with me.
I mean if it took 457 resets that would mean that it would have taken 457 days if done without the resets so yeah it is worth it, just maybe not in the same day, it doesn’t sound healthy, they really need to provide a few more ways to get furnitures per day.

I don't personally reset. I don't like using manipulations in games like that. Every day I get at least one *new* thing even if it's just a wallpaper or basic furniture item and I need to collect everything anyway. Plus, I'm not as worried about it now that trading is so close
Resetting can be a good thing, but I don't have the patience to do it that many times 😂
I don't have time for resets takes ages on ps5 I've collected so many items without doing it. A good addition with how many hours would be good on the character page
I only recently started resetting. I think it was worth it later game when you have so many of the items. However with multiplayer Scrooge coming its probably no longer worth it but i am now addicted to it 😂

Serroh, is there a way to do this on xbox x? Ive tried @Jade Mists method. It didnt work. Ive had no items except 4 on the left side, for months now. And they same old, same old.
I don't see the point in resetting since I always get a couple of new items everyday. A lot of the time they are not anything fancy, but if I am getting new stuff I know I am slowly progressing. If you reset and get all the cool stuff right away, then you will have nothing in the shop but different bed versions to buy from then on.
If you like one item, can you buy and reset and buy again? Plus does resetting the shop affect your dreamsnap submission?
How do u reset scrooges shop? I don't buy a lot of items. After playing since day one struggling w. Money I watched a clip last week about the pumpkins. Totally worth it outside of the souffle. So after months everything is now fully upgraded and I can focus on just buying clothes and furniture. But I keep getting repeats in the shop
I’ve never reset. I use that as motivation to log in on some days.

Resetting is not possible for switch users so it is a bit disappointing when you keep getting the same items day after day, if I had the opportunity to reset, I would 100% do it

Tried resetting on my PS4 a couple of times, ut it never worked for. So I'll just accept the daily disappointment. Do have over 1200 items now (even more since some wallpapers & floors didn't get added to collection).
Resetting the shop is totally worth it I mean, even though I had to restart my game and stuff like I would not have seen half the stuff that I have seen if I just chose to play Day by Day
I have probably close to 400, maybe a little over, furniture items and reset at least once each morning because Scrooge hates me and never gives me new items that aren't just recolours. Once multiplayer comes around, depending how buying from other players Scrooge works, I'll probably stop doing it.
I refresh because I have awful luck. I went almost a month without a single new item. It's worth it to me. I do it at most 10 times and that's only if I get greedy tbh

I only reset a few times now and am content with a new wallpaper or floor! And with any 2 new items I take them! Resetting is fun in the beginning and quickly becomes draining - who wants to sit an hour in front of your game without actually playing... It is also not fun to reset on the hunt for an item. I use it to just skip days, with literally nothing new, but I'm not demanding 😂
Oh and I have 1150 items, started playing in febuary but only started resetting in July! Resets also work WAY better right after a new update!
You have to force power off your console to do it on PlayStation and im just not willing to do that to my console.😢
I only reset when I dont have anything new in scrooge shop and only reset till have something new in the shop the most i reset in one day is 5 times to get aomething new.

I've heard rumors the melted candles have been removed from Scrooges store. Does anyone know if that's true? After I heard that I realized I haven't seen them even once in months, when I used to see them somewhat frequently early in the game. I reset depending on my mood. Sometimes I won't at all. More often than not I'll reset maybe 5 or 6 times to see if I get something good. Pays off every once and awhile.

Depends on what system you're on, usually walk in your store and without saving just quit and reload your game.

What are you basing the fact that you think the free update will be not very much on? The updates have always been full of stuff to do. I don't agree that without the dlc there will be not a lot to do. I think the update will be as full as any other we have gotten. I don't see a reason to believe otherwise.
