I love this. This is so helpful to people that love someone that’s had a devastating stroke. The very best to you sir.

I use this video frequently for training volunteers and partners who communicate with people with aphasia! Thank you so much for making it :)

Thank you for the video! I personally don't know anyone with Aphasia but it's very informative for future reference.

Thank you. My grandmother had a stroke and has been left with Aphasia. I'm seeing her in 1.5 months I hope. Her sight isn't great either, so I will probably take some simple printed cards with me that she can read, so when I ask her about the care home, she can respond by pointing: "Fun", "Boring", "Unhappy", "Ok", etc.

I had a stroke in 2099. Also, like John Sulivan, I have a cleft palate. I benefitted for these with sessions and activities

I had a Stroke 7 yrs ago. My speech has been affected due to stroke and also I was born with a cleft palate so it’s a double whammy for me. In hospital I used an etch to sketch to communicate.

I had a stroke on the right side of my brain when I was 21, for it was my left side that was affected. For about 8 minutes I was doing John Hurt's version of the Elephant Man without trying. Thank God it only lasted 8 minutes. That was 40 years ago and blood pressure that was a lot less than it is now. For 40 years I've been wondering when I would get another one, especially when my blood pressure shoots up to like 300 over 200. By the way, whenever I hear David Bowie's "Heroes" song, it takes me back to that day I had that stroke, for that song was playing in the background when I had it. By the way, my cousin was a Supreme Court judge, and could only say "yeah" when he had his stroke.

I've had it and multiple strokes. And learned to stand up and walk again. I could only barecrawl with stumbling. Fish oil and coconut oil causes brain nerve regeneration. Army research, a lady doctors book. Sago mine disaster victim. I'm now 99percentt fine and doing well. U must have to move the bad limb. I couldn't readfrosty snow man. I might still have it as a souvenir. If u can walk try to do something and work up to work up to 29 or 40 minutes a day, it releases BDNF. A brain factor. Oh and I couldn't understand English in one of my strokes. I take coconut oil and fish oil every day. Be patient. Rain recovery is slow, be baptised under the water, the Lord won't let sin enter. Baptism under the water washes meaning removes sins. I've had Nde. I remember the utter darkness. The light. There's something horrifying under that darkness I'm sure. Save ur self. Go do this and don't let u talk into any other way, I'd like to see u there,
