    That an NBA player is #1 in two major statistical categories, both almost untouchable records yet, and almost never gets mentioned among the all-time greats, getting very limited play coming off the bench his first 3 seasons, is beyond me.

      Stockton was a terrific defender and à nightmare for attackers on steals. But à great offensive player on assists too. Thats why he is the greatest point guard of all time.

    • @johnboehmer6683
      @johnboehmer6683 2 месяца назад +1

      @@Juanjuke6342
      Your claim is debatable of course, but I gave it a like cuz few even bring him into that conversation, which is unthinkable. Assists are THE main component of point guards, and he doesn't just have the all-time record, he has it to where it may never be touched. Then, that this record on the defensive end is well out of reach for all this time also, along with being an excellent shooter, I think demands he be brought into the top-10 conversation for all players. Extremely underrated.

    This was an interesting one. Not the fact that Stockton was way ahead of everyone, but instead some of the other names that showed up at different times on this list. Never expected olijuwon to make this list, or Malone. Or even barkley for a short time. Also interesting we’re some of the eventual coaches that popped up on the list… Sloan, rivers and mcmillen.
    The other interesting ones were magic and Jordan. Not that they made the list. Magic had a career shortened and Jordan had a few missing years in the middle. There’s a good argument that each might hold records if they had full careers. But this record isn’t one of them. Neither athlete, as great as they were, would ever have held this record.
    Good video.

      No way Jordan could have made up for a 700+ deficit in 2 years. In his best season he only had 259. Not to mention, those 2 years of rejuvenation sitting in a dugout the whole time would now be gone, 2 years instead of the wear and tear of 100 NBA games that would have cut into his numbers post-return.
