- Imprisoned Iranian activist Narges Mohammadi won the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of her tireless campaign for women's rights and against the death penalty.
She kept up her activism despite numerous arrests by Iranian authorities and remained a leading light for the nationwide protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini last year.

There is for sure a lot to condemn in the way Iranian regime reacts to its people demands for democratic rights. From the other side one can notice that women in Iran have a strong position in Iranian society. I speak about their participation in the university studies and actually in medical or engineering sectors. There is also a strong presence in managerial level in business and industry.
