I think since that part was so evident and witnessed by a law officer, she’s already been detained and charged for that. But because they needed her for the trial, they escorted her there only to detain her again afterwards
Well yeah but also I doubt they can go after the Yakuza like that, they probably had a separate trial for Vasquez's threats and that's it
Cody's "eschewing the very basis of our consumer society" line is like THE most underrated line in all of Ace Attorney, especially when he follows up with a second "Gee, for a grown-up, you sure are dumb!" I adore it.

To be honest, Shen has more than just this one Game to Stream and also Things to do in her Life. Espacially being Part of an active Raiding Group in FFXIV and all other Games that came out inbetween

When I first played this, Gumshoe getting defensive about his endearing character trait was the point he became my favorite Ace Attorney character.

Absolutely; she's doing great voicing Maya! But I just love her voice in general.
Imagine being a non-ace attorney player and from another room you just hear “See you in hell, Evil Magistrate!” in like the cutest voice.

What I love about this case is that you've technically won by the second day. Cody's testimony makes it clear it was Hammer in the suit instead of Powers, proving that Dee is guilty just reveals how it happened, which you technically didn't need to do.

Just a reminder that this game is supposed to take place in 2016, which recontextualizes quite a few things.

@@TheDisquietingNight the idea of phoenix having to explain what a digital camera is to the judge makes sense for 2001, when the game was made. with the added context that the ingame year is 2016, the year pokemon go released to smartphones worldwide, makes it really fucking funny that phoenix has to say "well, it's a new kind of camera, your honor!"
also steel samurai is a tokusatsu show (live action with heavy use of practical special effects, a la power rangers) and that style of show isnt as popular in present day as it was in 2001 as far as im aware
your voice acting, especially for maya, is excellent!
I hope (in like 20 years judging by the pace) we’ll see Shen play AA4 if only to get some thumbnail art of her with the Gavin brothers’ hair

You can't help but love the pun names people get in AA. It's like a puzzle in itself trying to find the joke.
Love how edgeworth is treated in this one to sorta set up turnabout goodbyes and even what happens with him after goodbyes! Also him helping us out is the coolest thing ever!

I love that new doods are finding this game and really liking it. It always starts playing innocuously normal, then get's off-putting, then eventually players fall in love with the characters, the insanity, the game, then the franchise.

According to the Crossover Game Project X(Cross) Zone 2 on 3DS where Phoenix and Maya appear and act as Mid Combat Supporters, Phoenix actually defended Goro Majima in a Court Case and he actually ended up becoming friends with him and Kiryu
My favorite part of these games is when Edgeworth and Phoenix tag team the guilty witnesses
