Lovely voice, but rather unbelievable. Emissions are more likely to fall in 2017, compared to 2016. Some very low emitting countries (per capita basis) will increase their emissions, but China is not one of these. It is a medium-level emitter and it claims to have made significant cuts in its coal production.
China's lack of transparency, and failure to commit to realistic targets mean that it deserves the bad rating it gets here, but is this bad rating true?
If the owners of this video are brave enough, leave my comments on here until we know the December 2017 CO2 levels. If they are actually less than 406.5 ppm at Mauna Loa in December, as I expect, then the likelihood of Peters' prediction coming true will have fallen quite a bit. After than we will have to wait for the ELGAR Project results for 2017, when it will be revealed whether the emperor is clothed, or not.

December 2017: 406.77 ppm but is this data just preliminary still?

Instead of demonizing Coal in general, what need to be emphasized is the closure of very old and obsolete Coal fired Power Plants (started 40-50 years ago) and replacing them with the most advanced Power Plants technology, whose efficiency is 50 % higher, while drastically reducing the polluting emissions: SOx, NOx, Particulate Matter. At the same time halving the burned fuel, thanks to the increase in efficiency: 45% against 25-30% of the old Power Plants.
CO2 is NOT a pollutant,at all, while is a fundamental element for life on the Planet!

      @@Assocarboni CO2 is a greenhouse gas...
And when we have to much of greenhouse gas in our atmosphere we are gonna have a big issue with global warming. And currently it is not looking promising to limit our CO2 emissions.
CO2 is a substantial part of life on our planet, but too much of it is not healthy for us humans.
