a nice change of pace and great result . i have some DAK sitting in my pile of shame that i should get to sometime , maybe i'll try this method , though i'm not sure it will work with the much lighter German desert colors
@@HeadHunterSix his talking about how it was doctrine to carry a large log on each armoured vehicle so if it gets bogged the log can help get the vehicle out of the mud, look up "russian tanks with log" and you will see what his refrencing
Amazing vid! Also do you think that vmc medium olive and luftwaffe cam. green are good colours for russian ww2 armour? Also how can i make muddy tracks only with paints?
I have an idea for a home brew space marine chapter: THE EMPERORS HUSSARS ARMOR: chest and legs are gold, arms, backpack and head is silver, knees and shoulder pads are red, shoulder pad trim is brass, as well as vents for the backpack, WEAPONS: they favor plasma and melta weapons as well as close combat weapons LORE: the EMPERORS Hussars symbol is a horse head with wings (head brass wings silver) they work close with the inquisition and Custodes. They favor fast attack units. They also perform a lot of rituals, and wear things of red fabric on their armor. They have no successors and aren’t the successors of anyone
I 100% support more small scale content
These snuck under my radar. Didn't know about them until I watched your video.
Very nice and simple technique.
Love your Ty and FoW stuff it inspires me to get my stuff done and gives me ideas
It looks fantastic Pete! I like the 15mm tanks and figures and I always look forward to a tutorial from you on them. Thanks for sharing this.
Nice and easy! Great way to hammer out a lot of models at once
Could you do a tutorial on the Abrams from Battlefront? I'd love to see your take on it!

How could you forget the glorious Soviet log on the back! It's the centerpiece of the model! lol
That's a snorkel for fording :D Or are you talking about the back bumper?

@@thatorangeguy3646 yeah I didn't realize he meant the unditching beam when I first read this. :D

Thanks a lot! I am going to try the same for my USSR 6mm army
Thunder warriors pls
I am here to chew bubblegum and watch some painting videos and i am all out of bubble gum.
Thank you for your inspiring video. I try this color sheme on my 60 Points soviet Formation.
What drybrushes did you use?
Looks like Army Painter Masterclass drybrushes - they work wonderfully for this. Soft bristles with a round end.
@@HeadHunterSix bruh i already got them like 6 months ago lol
Looks great. well done
What scale is the tank? i assume it isn't 1/72
He said in the video 15mm (1/100)
@@justbeq5177 thank you
thanks this is video was GOLD
What brush do you use to dry brush?
That is a T-80U
painting looks sick.. but that front skirt is glued on wrong.. XD
Wish you would do more team yankee brother.. the painter I am today is all because of u
Using only a dry brush for the base coat on top of black is clever - those recessed details really pop. No need for a pin wash.
WoW , really nice . 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hey Pete, aren’t the side skirts rubber on this model? I just picked up a few of these and really like how your scheme came out.
they are but they were often painted over
Good content
Is that a make- up brush?
Perfecto 👌
Painting a Soviet tank but there’s no red star?
contrary to popular belief, the red star was uncommon and primarily used(at least in ww2) for captured vehicles
@@nehrigen that actually makes sense tbh. A red star does stick out like a sore thumb
Top!!!!
